Nice hotel , clean rooms and polite staff except for the lady working at breakfast this morning who let down the stay by ( no exaggeration) actually screaming at me infront of a room of people for taking a banana ( when my room had breakfast included ) from the buffet . The room is spacious, clean and the bathroom is big but without windows. There's a big shower. The room is not very bright lighted because the windows faces on an inner terrace. The staff is polite. It is a bit far from the city center but has a big underground parking.

We often come here .. warm welcoming place and very kind staff. Also suitable for children with the classic giant (and soft) Milanese dish and fries and equipped with high chairs. The focaccia served at the table is delicious. The polenta concia from the Aosta Valley is valid (even if that of Oropa remains unattainable).

The location is very beautiful, and the owners are just simply great: very kind, cordial, helpful, generous. It was a pleasure after good walk to come back to the hotel and have a nice conversation with them and of course to have a flawless dinner.

Many years ago we went to this hotel in search of tranquility, we found an excellent welcome, cleanliness, wonderfully well cooked food (the Aosta Valley soup is a must try), cross-country trails a stone's throw away, many walking routes. Clean apartments. The owner is nice and available. The breakfast is great. We have never had any problems with the dog. The apartments are small and spartan but functional and have everything you need. The cost is adequate.

Hotel is a lovely mix of the modern and traditional - staff incredibly efficient and friendly. Breakfast selection always hearty and dinner a looked forward to feast after a day on the slopes. Spa a real treat also. Rooms cosy and comfortable and there is a heated ski room to store and dry equipment.

This is a lovely family run hotel. Spent New Year here with my family. Super clean, friendly staff, varied menu, relaxing spa and ski bus transfer to Punta Jolanda. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

We came here every day for breakfast on a work trip so we didn't stay in the rooms but we did sample the breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is delightful, loads of different types of honey & a fresh fruit juicer 😍 perfect way to start the day. The area is gorgeous & close to via Ferrata, hikes, chair lifts etc.... We were a bit disappointed by the mediocre services in this hotel. The location is good and the rooms are nice, but there is no equipment (water kettle for instance is usually a standard in other hotels). The most dissatisfied we were with the restaurant. The food is tasteless and totally boring. They have a good bar for drinks and coffee thought.

This is a gorgeous family owned and run business. They’ve been here for 200 hundred years. The food in their restaurant is incredible and it’s right on the lake with an excellent view of Isola S. Guilio. There is also a great spa inside the hotel which is worth going to at least once during your trip.

I didn't stay at this hotel however I did dine at their restaurant and my husband also got a few drinks at their bar after our meal. They provide excellent service during dinner here. Location is good. Aircond is not working well . The bathtub shower hardware is too old , not perfoming well and can NOT switch between shower and tap . Bathroom to small for bathtub ...nowdays when you dont have enough space better get rid of bathtub.

Great spot for a hotel, probably the best for Lake Orta. Impeccable service, good room (after upgrade since the initial one was terrible). A few glitches: we never learnt to use the electrical switches in the room- too complicated. Only if you are in a junior suite you get a wardrobe and a kettle - standard rooms are a disaster.

It's located on the waterfront of Lago D'Orta, and Isola San Guilio in an eye shot distance. Nice vista on the lake. The property is well maintained and the staff are very helpful. I fee like this area better than Lake Como in which is less touristy and more quiet and better for relaxation

Stylish period room in a quiet, vehicle-free backstreet, a 2 minute walk from the main plazza/port. Fabulous shops including a wonderful breakfast cafe, The Palace, and a lovely family restaurant Ca'Mea, both a minute away on foot. A great base to unwind. Note, that this is a satellite building, with superb staff located at the Leon D'Oro Hotel in the main Plazza.

Located in the historic center, it has rather small rooms, although all in all functional. A little inconvenient to reach it because in the pedestrian area and being the cobbled streets it is difficult to tow suitcases. Very convenient for boarding the island from San Giulio.

A negative note concerns the method of contact, on the site there is the urban number of the structure which is not manned, in fact the check-in must be done at the Leon D'Oro hotel in Piazza Motta and then be accompanied here. There is a nice little courtyard perfect for hanging out in a more secluded, quiet setting. This is a nice property that is perfectly situated in Orta San Giulio. They have parking that easy to access and the rooms were nice and very clean. We ate dinner the restaurant there and if we had to do again we would have gotten something in town. Not that it's bad, the service is good however it's a bit pricey for what you get. Overall this is a solid choice that we would be happy to return to.

The villa is truly a stunning property with historical design. The location of the villa is near to the lake and the property boats sprawling gardens where you can spend the afternoons with a Spritz or glass of wine. Hello, we had a great night by getting upgrade on the apartment with the view on the beach. The bad thing was communication, after 5 calls we finally got the personal at the front desk, and talked really fast to allow us letting the keys in the apartment for the check out. Perfect, new and fresh close to the restaurant and lifts. Stafal is the valley to stay in when visiting monterosa becouse you are in the middle of the two systems so you don't have to travel thru the ski systems. The beds are a little bit uncomfortable in the two person appointments. Recommended to purchase breakfast from the nordend hotel.

A truly cosy and quality place to stay. On foot to the main lift: 5 mins, and return directly to the door from ski slopes.
