Staying at Hotel Excelsior Planet was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect.

We liked a lot the room and the view, it was spectacular! Also the hotel has a ski room which is very convenient and a nice spa to spend the time after a skiing day.

The dinners at the restaurant were truly exceptional. Every dinner felt like a gourmet experience. We looked forward to it every evening!
And special thanks to the amazing staff who surprised me with a birthday cake , it was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that made my day extra special!

Everything about my experience was perfect, from the cozy atmosphere to the outstanding hospitality.

Stayed here with friends for our annual skiing holiday and definitely made the right choice. First and foremost, it`s location to the lifts is superb, nothing more to add on that point really. The ski cellar / boot room is on the lower ground floor, access to street level is by a rather quirky lift. Our room was directly facing the Matterhorn, what a view to wake up to every morning. Hotel and rooms are very clean, great all round service. The restaurant is superb, comprehensive choice at breakfast and wonderful food at dinner with an excellent wine list as well. Overall, a great stay and would definitely return.

We really loved this hotel. Hotel really ticks all the boxes for location and facilities…. But what really stands out is how exceptionally the staff looked after us and the food ! Everyone was so welcoming, warm and friendly, it made us feel very relaxed and at home. The food and wine were unbelievably good. We stayed half board and enjoyed every single breakfast and dinner. What made a particular difference to us was how brilliantly the staff adapted the menu for our son who is severely allergic to milk. We were given full confidence that they took the allergy very seriously and we were able to relax and enjoy mealtimes which is normally hard to do when eating out. Further, the chef created specially adapted milk free dishes - including the most delicious special deserts giving him the best dining experience of his life. Hugest thanks to Michaeli, Riccardo and all of the team for giving us all an unforgettable week - we’ll be back. Highly highly recommend.

After 21 visits over 18 years, I am running out of superlatives to describe this hotel. This year, we made two visits, one with our American family in February and later as a couple in March. The warmth of the welcome from all the staff, combined with the amazing cuisine never ceases to amaze me. On both visits, we stayed in a very spacious and recently refurbished junior suite with a view of the Matterhorn. The skiing convenience is a big advantage. The Cretaz lifts are less than 100m while the hotel offers a free shuttle to the gondola, with its direct access to Plan Maison, at the bottom of the village. Then there is the spa area (the booking system via reception avoids overcrowding) and a comfortable lounge, complete with log fire and friendly bar service. The balance of professionalism and friendliness really sets this hotel apart. For a skiing holiday, it is the perfect place to stay.

Having done many, many ski trips and stayed in a multitude of different hotels, all I can say is this by far and away the ski hotel we've ever stayed in! There's nothing to fault, the location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and well designed, the dinner each night is heavenly and to top it all off, the staff are some of the best we've come across!! If you're going on a skiing holiday to Cervinia, book at this hotel!

Excellent service from start to end. Friendly, helpful staff at the reception, and in the restaurant the delightful and energetic Martina and Pepe made our week of fine dining fun and enjoyable with their attentive and congenial service. The food was astounding every night - amazing flavours and clever presentation. The mezzanine mini suite was comfortable, with a great shower, big bath and good beds. Masses of storage too, and an amazing view to greet every morning. The ski room was great too, with our own locker allocated. We’d have no hesitation returning.

After 15 years at Excelsior Planet every year it is as good as the last. With a fantastic proximity to the main chairlift lift it is easy to be on the first lift every morning and then being welcomed back every day by a fantastic reception staff it is amazing. The hotel then has an amazing restaurant with a fantastic selection of meals every night with an amazing restaurant team, there is also an amazing wine menu with two fantastic sommeliers in Matteo and Ricardo. We couldn’t recommend the hotel more and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Perfect location hotel for ski wlth a perfect dinner menus.. All staff are super friendly.. hotel situated 200 meters to main slopes and plenty of restaurants and bars in walking distance .. We highly recommend to get dinner at hotel.. Planet will be our new location for winter holidays

Special mention must be made of Matteo, the Sommelier, whose expert recommendations enhanced our dining experience, and Martina and Timo, whose attentive and friendly service in the restaurant truly stood out.

Exceptional Service: The staff at the Excelsior Plant were truly outstanding. Their dedication to ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay was evident throughout our visit. We were particularly impressed by their willingness to accommodate our family's needs. On two occasions, they graciously arranged for dinner to be served in our rooms, allowing our children to enjoy an early bedtime after a long day on the slopes. Their assistance with returning our ski equipment also proved invaluable.

Relaxation and Recreation: Beyond the slopes, the hotel boasts a lovely pool and spa area. This proved to be a fantastic amenity, offering a welcome respite on afternoons when the children were too tired to ski. It provided a perfect opportunity for relaxation and rejuvenation for the whole family.

Prime Location: The hotel's location is ideal for families. It sits directly next to the Cretaz lift, providing convenient access to the slopes. This proximity also placed us conveniently close to the ski school, making it easy for our children to begin their ski lessons.

Skiing Paradise for Beginners: Cervinia itself is a fantastic resort for beginner skiers. The slopes are well-maintained, with an abundance of gentle blue runs and relatively manageable red runs, offering a gradual progression for developing skiers. The picturesque scenery surrounding the resort adds an extra layer of charm to the experience.

Overall: The Excelsior Plant Hotel, combined with the allure of Cervinia, created an unforgettable family ski vacation. The exceptional food and service – especially from Matteo, Martina, and Timo – the convenient location, the relaxing pool and spa, coupled with the resort's beginner-friendly slopes, make it a highly recommended destination for families seeking a memorable alpine adventure.

Italy trip for the family! This hotel has been nothing short of amazing. The rooms are great, ski room is easily accessible and safe, the food and bar is fantastic. The bartender, Francesco, made the best Negroni I’ve ever had. Superb expertise in cocktails nothing short of delicious. Great location from chair lift and restaurants!
