Again for another year we had a wonderful stay! The restaurant is delicious and people working there are respectful and careful to the needs of customers. Finally they pay attention also the respect of the anti-COVID rules. Recommended.

the view is amazing and great access to the beach. front desk staff and house keeping staff are nice. however, the self important extremely unfriendly witch-in-charge at the main restaurant is a huge put off. enough for us to not want to return. recommend a change of staff or manner training for the individual. thanks.

Although the service was certainly good and the food was excellent, the hotel was dated and pricy. The mosquitos are really bad and you can't sleep with the window open as there are no mosquito covers, so you can either get stung all night or be extremely hot. I was thoroughly disappointed that supposedly 5-star hotel hasn't rectified this basic resolvable problem. When put to the staff they dodged addressing it.
The view from the hotel is spectacular which is likely the major draw to this place, but the view doesn't make the hotel, and as such this review can't take the view into account as it existed before the hotel did.
It was an ok experience, especially the food, but I likely won't be staying here again.

Lovely hotel by the sea. We had a really nice room with a sea view. The service was excellent and everyone was very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really nice hotel with very nice rooms and friendly staff. Food was delicious also the view from our room.

We stayed for 10 days and overall I have to say that I liked the hotel. The views from pool and rooms are stunning - you get on side the bay with small village called Porto Azzuro and on other side the sea which often is full with sailing boats. Truly lots of postcard views.
Location is up on the top of the hill so you have to have a car to get around which is generally needed for Elba anyway. Parking is very close and free of charge (but renting a car in Elba is expensive!). The hotel has two nice pools- one for kids and the other for adults. We were at the beginning of the season and the kids stuff advertised wasn’t working (fountains, slides etc) but we didn’t ask for them to be turned on either. It just felt a bit deserted, nobody even bothered to clean leaves off from sun beds
The service and food at the main restaurant was amazing. It also has amazing views to both Porto Azzuro and sea plus the staff can up the glass sliding doors of you ask. If you want a good meal out, go for that set menu - it’s €35 per person but it’s worth it. If on budget, opt for salad buffet and there is also amazing dessert/cake buffet for only €6.
The hotel doesn’t have double beds - they just move two large twin beds together and put a large bedsheet on (even without a king size mattress topper).
They also have a private beach but I couldn’t get there comfortably as I have a small baby. They say it has a lift but actually one has to do quite a bit of stairs to the lift to get to the hotel and beach. It was a huge disappointment that the beach restaurant didn’t work!
