A Charming Hotel I booked the same day of arrival…they were ready for me, accommodating and very friendly. They have a spa so I splurged with a massage…fabulous. I’m surprised this hotel doesn’t have an “excellent “ rating…they should!

The hotel was okey. However the 4 stars they must have gotten for a VERY long time ago. Looking at the standards such as the interior, furnitures and style it problably would have gotten 2 or 3 stars today. It also smelled smoke of cigarettes all over the hotel. Simply a tired hotel. We would not stay here again for this price.

Accepting we were a walking group the dinners were not great,signs everywhere at breakfast to stop us filling our water bottle or even taking a piece of fruit.Tinned fruit at breakfast, good selection of cakes and other stuff.Fir walkers you look forward to a good dinner but this wasn't the case at this hotel.

The hotel was in a good location, music can be heard from your room of live music that was playing in the lounge area and you can hear all movements from other rooms. The breakfast is poor not even fresh orange juice is served, rooms need renovation and a deep clean is needed.

We stayed here on a Road Scholar tour. The room too hot, and the A/C was turned off in the winter. The breakfast was rather poor and the group dinners were not good, but the dinners we purchased from the restaurant were good. Our room had poor internet coverage, which limited the TV service. I liked the pillows. The hotel has a rather isolated location.

All quite good but not the spas which weren't adequate to the standard of a four-star hotel in a well-known spa resort.

The second year that I come to this splendid hotel equipped with a SPA, a very complete hotel as it has an indoor thermal-type swimming pool and an outdoor one equipped with free umbrellas and sunbeds for guests. To complete the services in the evening live music on the lawn in the garden is a really complete continental breakfast of both sweet and savory.

One of the few hotel WITH REAL spa facilities even if water is not thermal. Good service.

The restaurant staff were the best, it felt like a movie form the 60s. They are all very cheerful and patient, also really interesting to look at. The cleaning was also on a extremely high level without any exceptions. The food was also super tasty.

It costs 10 Euro per person per day to use the spa, but i thought it was worth it. We had dinner at the hotel which is the reason i am giving it 4 stats. It wasnt worth what we were paying for. The man at reception got us pastries and coffee even though we were issed breakfast. Overall, nice hotel, near the city center. I recommend

We organised an international carrom tournament in this hotel during August occupying every room and we were really happy with the level of hospitality offered. The location is really good as it is slightly outside the modern town but walking distance to the pretty historic centre on the hill. Great Hotel with lovely amenities

Excellent hotel, new room furniture, spacious bathroom and excellent cleaning. Abundant breakfast with sweets, cereals, yogurt, cold cuts and more, too bad they didn't have soy milk for the intolerant. Very good dinner, large portions. Courteous staff. Too bad the hotel doesn't have a private car park, in Chianciano all car parks are subject to charges or you can only park for an hour or two.

Good team in the outdoor Caffè enjoyed 1 evening thanks to their good Wine suggestions . Place has dated facilities and 2 tiny lifts that broke down after just a couple of hours of our stay . Most recently renovated hôtel in Chianciano, classic with great decoration taste. Enjoyed the restaurant two evenings in a row with high quality well prepared food. Friendly staff. Would recommend for a relaxing stay in Tuscany close to a spa.

We visited Montepulciano for the wine and then looked for somewhere to stay. This place seemed to fit the bill, about 15 minutes away with lots of 4* hotels at low prices. How lucky we were. The town is the strangest place. This town has has about 50 hotels but only 10 open, the rest boarded-up, unloved or simply abandoned with weeds growing out of roofs, carparks etc. It's an industrial archaeolgists...

Beautiful family holiday. The hotel is from the 60s but nothing is missing. The bedroom and bathroom are very large and clean. Food not super but still acceptable. Great hotel, delicious food with large portions. Breakfast was also excellent, nothing to complain about. And a good, spotlessly clean room with air conditioning. The beds were a bit hard, that's the only downside. But if you put the blanket on the bed under the bottom sheet, that's solved. Basic but Very clean. My room on a solo tour was large with twin beds. Bathroom was large and powerful shower. Hairdryer attached to the wall. No kettle tea facility in bedrooms. Continental breakfast each morning (buffet). I’d forgotten my Italian plug socket so borrowed one for 10euro deposit. Plain food but tasty. Beds weren’t memory foam but I slept well. All in all it met my needs…..

I was staying 203 with my family. It was a nice stay. Staffs are really friendly and the test of food is also good.

I have stayed for three days with a group, the staff has been really kind and efficient. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and they have cared a lot for the food so that we felt confortable there. The rooms are not new, but they have all necessary things, were big enough and were very clean.

This is a very basic BB hotel with a nice cosy lobby. The checkin was smooth and efficient. The rooms are very small and can barely accommodate 2, so if you have a third person you will need a larger room. The bathroom was very cramped and the shower cubicle tiny. I am staying in this hotel with a group of 36 people. We are all very pleased with this hotel. First of all the rooms are spotlessly clean. Second is we received the warmest welcome in Italy. I spent 2 nights in this hotel. The room was pretty clean. However, if u come for breakfest 30 min late, there won't be any coffee and milk left. Can't you really make sure all your guests have their morning coffee??? This is unacceptable and shameful.

It looks like an unpretentious hotel, and it really is. For a conference I stayed in the structure. The room was clean but shabby; there were patches on the walls, the shower head not working perfectly, and little things like that. I stayed in Hotel Sole for one week with group of kids from language camp. We had a lovely stay thanks to great service provided. Rooms are clean, food is great and very diverse. All workers made sure we have everything we need and more. In emergency situation they saved us (drove us to the hospital). We really appreciate all your help. Highly recommend! Hotel very close to the spa. Comfortable, extremely clean. All the staff are very kind and the manager (Vincenzo) makes you feel at home. Cozy hotel. Breakfast is a buffet and the choice is really wide. Hotel a little dated but all in all the food is not bad with various choices and excellent hospitality. Very kind waiters and staff available for any need, excellent location, well-kept pool, clean room and clean linen.

The building is old and need a serious renovation. People working here are very nice and willing to help, but as long as the windows don't close well and the room has no heat, a bathrobe, a hair shampoo, the doors have peeling paint - their amazing attitude can help, but can't save. To expensive for the services offered

A building from another era, yet efficient, functional, and above all, spotlessly clean. A family atmosphere with kindness and exquisite courtesy, something we're no longer accustomed to. The food is simple, but authentic and tasty. Breakfast is good, though not very varied. We'll definitely return.

The building, like the rest of Chianciano, is stuck in the 1970s and 1980s. That said, the hotel is very clean, with fairly large rooms and decent balconies. Convenient for visiting nearby places (Montepulciano and Pienza, for example). The food (since we booked full board) was decent. Prices were absolutely reasonable. Worth considering if necessary.
