A preference of ours when skiing is to be super close to the lifts and the location of the Grand Hotel Savoia is not ideal from that perspective as it is a long walk or car journey to the nearest lifts. We stayed here for 3 nights. The service was amazing. The front deck, concierge, valet and ski valet were awesome. The rooms were updated, although we couldn’t figure out how to turn off the heat so had to sleep with the windows open. Really enjoyed the spa. Had cocktails and coffee at the lounge many times. I’d return for sure.

Grand ol' 5-star hotel, you will like it if you are into grand ol' five-star hotels, but it needs extensive interior renovation.

An exceptional hotel! Staff all around is amazing from the desk to the concierge to the shuttle driver. First floor suite was comfortable and elegant. My partner and I were sad to leave and could have easily stayed another week. Cortina is a gem and the Rosaoetra is something you cannot miss. Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and welcoming.

The staff was so friendly. The shuttle downtown was great. Food and spa facilities were excellent. The only thing I would say is the window is too small to really benefit from just the Mountain air cooling the room. It was ok with a fan however, I think investing in a wall unit would go a long way.

Nice small hotel, interesting rooms with a lot of wood, rustical feeling, not real 5* hotel in my opinion, restaurant OK, food decent but nothing special, SPA is OK, staff very friendly and very professional, garage for parking available, too expensive and not value for money for sure

Beautiful outlook from the room over the mountains, located an easy 10. minute walk from the main town which made parking super easy on the property. A shuttle will take you to and from town as needed as well.

A breath-taking stay across from the Dolomites, this luxury hotel lives up to its name. Antonio and Frederico made our stay with their excellent service. Every staff member has a peppy and jovial attitude. I will definitely stay again, but only if the piano player keeps writing his own music.

Old rooms with hard mattresses and very noisy in the first floor. That was the bad part. The staff is very nice and the location is perfect for skiing. Food is good and the area for games works perfectly when you have children.

A very old stylish charming hotel. Has some history. Facilities are in a old fashion. Staff are friendly and very presentable. Breakfast is good. Very dated hotel with very dated rooms, uncomfortable bed. Charming lobby and centrally located. A note - wifi almost non-existent in areas other than the hotel lobby.

We stayed here for 5 days while skiing in Cortina. The location is absolutely brilliant, right in the centre of Cortina. The bus stop that takes you to the slopes (approx 6/7 mins) is 50 yards away and is right beside the Main Street which has all restaurants / shops. The breakfast was lovely and perfect for a day of skiing and the staff were so helpful and very nice throughout our stay!

We had a lovely stay at Royal Hotel! Parking wasn’t as crazy as we thought it would be although it is 15 euros a night. The room was beautifully renovated with wood details and soft sheets. Good value with nice rooms, very tasty breakfast and friendly stuff. Scenic hiking routes starts directly at the hotel. We stayed with our dog and the dog was also welcomed everywhere. Can totally recommend.

The location is a dead sell, amazing views all around and practically the trailhead for one of the more iconic hikes in the area. The hotel itself is very clean, the food on site is a great option, and the staff is helpful and friendly (a lot of them knew English too). It was a pleasant stay! The hotel building has a charming and authentic vibe, the rooms are modern, clean and well-equipped and the views out the window are fantastic. My team and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Pontechiesa, located a short walk from the town centre and from the Olympic Stadium. The multi-lingual staff, led by Emanuela, were always friendly and helpful. The garden was a great place to relax in during the summer evenings. The only grumble was that the wifi-strength could have been more consistent throughout the hotel.

Great place to stay for any period of time. Friendly staff, amazing food, comfy spacious rooms, and an overall fantastic stay. There is also a small play area for small children and a ps4 for the older kids/adults.

We stayed for 3 nights. Perfect location, great spacious room, nice shower, clean. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because we left so early each day for the hikes but the breakfast to go was really nice! 2 kaiser sandwiches with a generous amount of fresh cheese and ham, fruit and yoghurt. Great location, rooms are large, comfortable, showers ok, bed fair, no ac at all, no windows that give adequate vent, so if you don't want a hot stuffy room, visit in Oct-March and it's nearly 5 stars. Otherwise, you'll die. You'll just... Die. May 2025, the entire town is under construction for the Olympics, so driving, parking, and even walking are a pain. Excellent location and a good value. Room itself was newly renovated and quite nice. The main downsides were the tiny bathroom and poor ventilation (no thermostat i could find and no obvious heat or AC source). Good ski room with racks that are skikey compatible. Right in the middle of the main commercial area so it is very easy to walk anywhere.

Great hotel. Clean, very friendly staff and a good breakfast with loads of choice. They even prepared us a snack bag the last morning as we left at 5.30 am for a climb. Would really recommend this place when staying in Cortina d’Ampezzo!

I went there for 2 nights to visit the Dolomites. Overall, I had a positive experience. The staff were very nice and helpful! I enjoyed the breakfast buffet as well. The downside for me was the bathroom. My friend and I had a room on the 4th floor, and the bathtub (with shower) was located just under the slanting roof which was so low that we couldn't shower standing up! If you enjoy sleeping NEVER STAY HERE! Extremely noisy hotel! Right next to a highway, walls are so thin that you can hear conversation, people moving in bed, pumbling noises etc just like it is right next to your ear. Breakfast is really good though . Also friendly staff .

Pleasant stay. However, due to being in a leg cast I asked for a ground floor room and was given a third floor room and eventually managed to get down to a second floor room but with no lift it made getting around more difficult. Rooms were great with a nice view and breakfast was super too!

Great location, remote cottage with beautiful rooms under the main building. Room had a spectacular view on the mountains and a small lake nearby. Stuff were very friendly and offered us a garage for our motorcycle. Everything was wonderful. The setting is amazing, looking out on several peaks in the Dolomites, high above the valley below. The staff was very attentive. And the food was very good at a nice price point. Lots to choose from, from both sides of the Alps.

Good location if you like to go trekking. The hotel is nice and has all rooms in wood. They have a good menu at the restaurant and they are very friendly. A place to stop every time you are in the area.

Great view from the room. Clean an quiet. Unfortunately, the good things end there. Staff spoke almost no English, which is absurd for such a popular tourist area. The breakfast was just ok, and coffee was made from a horrible nescafe machine. In Italy! You could ask for an espresso at the bar, but some days they were too busy, and others they were out of coffee for the machine... Dinner was horrible...

Booked my room through booking and when I arrived they didn’t have the reservation and were full. But, they did a little shuffling and found a room for me at a reduced rate. Not the nicest place but I slept well and the food was decent for half pension. The owners spoke English with me and I enjoyed my time meeting them. Great location for skiing.
