TH Courmayeur

Avoid this hotel!
This was by far the most disappointing hotel experience I've ever had. While it looks nice on the outside, everything falls apart once you check in.

The ski room lockers didn’t work, leaving our gear wet, and our room stayed freezing despite complaints to reception. The restaurant layout was bizarre, with food spread across three rooms, and the quality was subpar (definitely not worth 45€ per person). Breakfast was bland, cold, and lacked variety.

The spa was an absolute disaster. We had to walk through the restaurant and reception in robes to get there, only to be told we couldn’t enter without buying flip-flops. The pool required swim caps, which they tried to sell to us as well. Add in the smell of sewage, and it was hardly a relaxing experience.

Dinner service was chaotic, with long waits, missing courses, and confusion over a bottle of wine we’d saved from the previous night. The staff was trying, but the management was dismissive and unhelpful. We were promised a refund for one dinner, but even that became a struggle, with the manager handing over 90€ in small bills, seemingly collected from staff.

Overall, this hotel feels cold, corporate, and completely indifferent to guests. It’s far from the warm, welcoming experience you’d expect in the Italian Alps. They claim to be a 4-star establishment, but this place doesn’t even come close. I couldn’t wait for my holiday to end—don’t make the same mistake!

Hotel just doesn't work: the facilities are too small for the capacity, the parking is a nightmare free-for-all for the limited free spots outside and it you lose out you have to pay for the underground garage.

It says "TH Courmayuer" but should really be "TH Entreves" as that is where it is and Courmayuer isn't too easily accessed.

Staff can be pretty rude, especially if you don't speak Italian (or so it felt like to us).

Breakfast was very average for a 4 star hotel.

On the plus side the room was quite nice.

Room was modern and new. Very clean. Good maid service.

My main issue was that the air conditioning did not work, so the room was too warm. I then would open my balcony door but people were smoking in their balconies and the smell of cigarettes would fill my room. This smell would wake me up at night, so I did not sleep well.

Be careful because the spa downstairs will try to sell you a "spa kit" for 18 euros when all you really need is flip flops and a towel.

Not much around the hotel so you need to take the bus into town but the bus hours are short, which may leave you walking a long way back at night. Took me 30-40 minutes of walking from the town center.

Room had a fridge and good water pressure in the shower.

Middle of nowhere. Rude receptionist, good rooms, nice spa, boot room at the top of the mountain. I would never return. Imagine as
as English guest asking if there is a spare adapter, to be greeted with “well if you had stayed in the EU we may have one”. Finally having caught a bus into Cormayeur, the hotel were utterly useless in helping us get back to them.
So - if you want to stay in the middle of nowhere with rude unhelpful receptionists,
Enjoy, the cooks, spa staff, waiters are all lovely - but present a problem they are wet lettuces and downright racist.
