Hotel Roma Sud

Nice and clean hotel on the outskirts of Rome just on the GRA circular motorway. Perfect and cheap if you have car, but if you don’t you get stuck here, as there is no walkway and no Uber to/ from location.
Rooms are nice and tidy, basic but comfortable, with small desk, safe. There is a gym onsite, small breakfast restaurant. It seems to be very popular amongst bus tours, so it can get very busy during breakfast time. Despite the nearby motorway you don’t hear any noise.

Great experience. Stayed for two nights and had an awesome relaxing stay. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was great customer service was ++. If you drive around beautiful town, there are lots of vineyards and olive gardens.

This place was clean, comfortable and we are so happy to have stumbled onto it. It was right before we drove into Rome after spending the week driving from Amalfi to Vasto. It was great value for the price and the room was as nice as any we stayed in during our trip (including the airport Hilton). We had stopped for gas and noticed the hotel so asked about a room and the price and decided to stay. When you access it from the freeway, you cannot exit into the countryside, but there is a food court and place to buy groceries at the huge gas station complex. So much nicer than the cheap places here in the US.

The hotel is two steps away from the service area of the highway, on the direction of the entrance, towards Rome. Therefore, it is accessible, or directly from the service area, or, exiting from the motorway, from the state SP77b. However, coming from the state, it will not be possible to leave the car in the parking lot customers. Those who want to walk to the hotel, especially if on Sunday, we prepare for a war path. From Anagnina, the only two lines ATAC that lead to the nearby are the 506 (until the little worm) and 509 (up to Viale Guido Carli university, not far from the CNR-ARTOV), then at least a twenty minute walk there are always. The council is not to arrive after dark, the streets do not always have the sidewalk and the cars go pretty fast. If it rains, you will be obliged to take a taxi.
The rooms are newly refurbished and are quite spacious. The front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle service to Tor Vergata (12€) and the CNR in the days of the competition (9€). Also in this case, if it rains, you will be obliged to take it.
The hotel does not have a restaurant but has a coffee maker and snacks, if you do not want to make a hearty breakfast from 5€, or for other emergencies. Always in the service area, there is a Chef Express (hard) and a 15-minute walk in the direction of the little worm there is to the Rugantino (highly recommended), where you can enjoy a carbonara or amatriciana truly moving.
