Hotel Excelsior Le Terrazze

This is without a doubt the best hotel ive stayed in and absolutely worth every penny. We stayed 4 nights after 4 nights in Verona but you could easily spend a week here and not get bored.

The rooms and hotel are absolutely spotless and provide a perfect home to relax, rest and explore the Lake. Its so stunningly green at the hotel, as it is around Garda, which means the air is just so fresh. We opted for a lake view room which i'd definitely recommend, you simply cannot get tired of the view and you get sunbeds on your balcony too. Otherwise there is plenty of room by the pool - you wont find the sunbeds to be reserved and other guests are very courteous. There is so much to see in the area and can easily visit other parts of the lake (we did a boat trip through hotel), the beach is minutes away, boat transfers too, so it is not simply about staying on site.

The staff here are utterly fantastic, from checkin, to breakfast, dinner and the bar and with checkout. They were so polite, friendly and happy to assist at all times. It really did elevate our experience. You can arrange trips through the hotel website or in person, and the staff kindly arranged for our taxi back to the airport.

In terms of the food, breakfast is a superb array of options - fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, breads, omelette and pancake station made fresh for you. You are treated to coffee as soon as you sit. It isnt the same options every day either and do tweak it a bit. Dinner is fantastic if you opt to eat in with the menu changing daily - you can find it outside the restaurant in the day. The food is of high quality too and you wont feel you have wasted time eating in - its €26 euros for dinner, this includes typically a buffet of salad/ snacks, then 3 courses + a choice of deserts you can grab. Lunch provides a few options which is a la carte and great too. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch dinner, drinks outside too which is brilliant in a lovely setting. The bar has some nice cocktails, spritz, beers, wines all at fair prices.

It is worth mentioning, as it is mentioned by other reviews and is a more general trend of Garda, the clientele here are a bit older - around retirement age on average. This is not a negative thing but being c. 30 we did certainly stand out and youngest for a couple of days by far. What this means is the atmosphere is a bit calmer by and large, so no competition for seats if enjoying a drink outside in the evening. So the only negative could be feeling a bit of a sore thumb if wanting something a bit more boozy. Everyone was so friendly though, nobody dampened are mood at all as everyone was so lovely and just happy to see others being happy.

This is really a special place, nowhere better to relax, and hope to return ASAP.

Lovely clean and modern hotel. Large comfortable beds. Service mainly efficient and pleasant. Views from terrace are stunning. Food....... would like to have seen more choice for breakfast. Dinner at night was of nouvelle cuisine type, and while it was beautifully presented, it was not nearly enough on the plate for my 6'4" husband !! Disappointed that despite saying on first day that I was gluten free, I had to ask every single day for gluten free bread at breakfast. Afternoon tea was the same problem.

Phenomenal hotel, staff very knowledgeable and friendly, great breakfast and lunches.
Our room had a beautiful view that we enjoyed every evening from our balcony. Very clean and well located. We are looking forward to staying here again one day!

We have stayed here twice now and the hotel is a great place to stay and relax. The food is good from a big buffet for breakfast to a good selection at our evening meal. Also the rooms have always been super clean and in great order. All the staff here are attentive and really give a good service. We hope to visit again with more family.

Stayed here for 8 nights for our first trip to lake Garda and will return.
Claudio is absolutely incredible and is training his team to be the same. His professionalism and assistance in every aspect from getting us a rush taxi to catch a connecting transportation to checking in on a food intolerances at every meal was appreciated. The front desk staff were very helpful with assisting us with tours and best places to go.

The morning breakfast has a wide variety of cold and hot foods including an omelette/crepe station made to order. And dinner meals were varied and tasty.

The wait staff are getting trained up and some are new but are quick learners and their English is excelling day by day.

The rooms are clean, shower pressure is great and the a/c works. A quick walk into town and close to the ferry port. Rooms are cleaned and very well done. Only downfall is you can hear the traffic every once in a while.

Overall, an amazing stay. Great food, service and location.

This is simply the best hotel to stay in around Lake Garda. Amazing location, delicious food, comfortable and spotlessly clean accomodation and last but not least the best staff ever.
