Second stay at Hotel Nettuno and the first after the renovation.
The renovation freshens up the look of the hotel while fitting the overall calm flair of the hotel. Some places (like the basement toilets or the garage) were left out and now don't fit into the more modern and clean style.
Sadly the renovation also did not include the hotels/rooms heating, ventilation and air conditioning, which lead to (subjectively) uncomfortably high temperatures in the corridors and rooms, due to the fact that the AC was already switched to "winter mode" despite warmer temperatures, so it could only heat the room further but not cool it down.
The only way to cool down my room was opening a window, which helped only a bit and was nearly constantly open over my stay. Room temperatures still were between 21°C and 24°C, which was way too warm for me (as already mentioned on check out).
The new color scheme make the rooms brighter, which is an improvement compared to last year.
All was clean and functioning, though the bathroom of my room (211) seemingly did not receive the same care during the renovation as the rest of the room (forgot to mention on check out).
Noise sensible persons should pack some earplugs for slamming room doors, due to the automatic door closers (mentioned on check out as well) or not as soundproof walls as can be expected in newer hotels.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant improved compared to last year and was very good!
Breakfast buffet is also very good, but a vegan milk option (e.g. oat milk) is missing (though I did not ask for it to be honest).
The location of the hotel is perfect for those who like to visit Bardolino (10-20min to the center, depending on ability) or walk on the promenade of Lake Garda.
Bike storage is possible in the garage, though there is no separate secured room to put them in.

Lovely hotel. Good location with only a 5 minute walk to the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful which made our stay even better. Food was great too. Many thanks to you all at the hotel.

We,ve been visiting this hotel for over 20 years and always had a great time,however this year was slightly disappointing.
Our main negative was the service in the restaurant. The rush from the waiters to order wine / water was crazy and the quality / choice / portion sizes of meals was extremely poor . Never have I been to any restaurant in the world where plates are removed, while other party members are still eating .Everything such a rush ! The maitre d is certainly not professional ( unlike the previous one , who many folk will know !!).
On the plus side, breakfast on the terrace( with the usual buffet items) was a joy. The lake views are second to none. Also the location of Nettuno to Bardolino is perfect. Short walk of 5 mins to town / ferries . I must also praise the reception ladies and not forgetting the bedroom staff who are all so lovely and very helpful.
Please Nettuno , get back to the professional, high standards which so many of your returning guests expect .

Excellent hotel. Stayed a week with my parents, both rooms excellent. Staff super helpful and friendly, can’t do enough for you. Great location to get to other parts of lake and a gentle walk into centre of Bardolino. Can’t comment on hotel pre-renovation but is now lovely. Bar area, pool and restaurant all lovely and great bar staff and restaurant, especially Kabir who made our stay all the better. So pleased we chose Nettuno for our stay 🫶🏼

Nice clean comfortable hotel. Bedroom and bathroom quite small. Restaurant very limited choice of main coarse for evening meal.

Just finished a 4 night stay at this lovely hotel. We were really impressed by the standard of the rooms, they were nicely renovated and were spotlessly clean. Beds really comfy. The staff were really helpful, special mentions to Gloria and Giulia (hope we spelt that correctly!) who helped us with booking a taxi and lots of other assistance. We had a trip to the Dolomites planned and couldn’t find the bus stop for pick up; the night guard from the hotel followed us in his car and directed us to the bus stop, amazing service! We ate some dinners in the restaurant and found the food of good quality as were the breakfasts. Kabir in the restaurant was particularly friendly. Location is very good, lots to do close by. We really hope to return, thank you hotel nettuno ☺️

Breakfast superb.
Staff especially Elke and Guilia superb and very very helpful.
Disappointed that the lake view was only from a corner window and no balcony....this wasnt what i expected after paying a supplement,

Firstly, sincerely apologise to all the staff for writing this review much later than should have done. Stayed for a week - 19th to 26th of August. Hotel is great - location is very good, it's clean, food is great, the best thing about it though is the staff. They are fantastic, I like to thank them all individually. Gloria, Julia and Elke at the reception. Stephano and specially Kabir in the restaurant. Apologies to all the others whom I don't know their names. Thank you. Shamal.

Fantastic hotel!!! Everything is clean and well looked after. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect position from Bardolino town centre. We all loved our time in Bardolino and Hotel Nettuno. We would definitely recommend it.
