Etna Hotel

The hotel has amazing views over Mount Etna. The pool area is a great place to relax with a good choice of food and drink available from the pool bar. A car is useful as the hotel is on the edge of town and not easy to walk into. The rooms are quite traditional in style but very comfortable and the hotel is quite charming. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful and friendly, and they look after their guests. We really like the breakfast terrace area and ate some really good food a couple of nights in the restaurant.

We stayed at the Etna Hotel last October and loved it that much, we are going again this October.
Due to You Travel going into Insolvency, this has meant we lost our Superior Double Room, although Thomas Cook has offered us another room... We specifically wanted our room as it has views of Mount Etna.

I would sincerely like to thank Etna Hotel for all their great customer service, prompt replies to my emails and helping me resolve the situation. I am now looking forward to my October holiday again with a view of Mount Etna 💖

I would 100% recommend this hotel to stay at when you visit Sicily...especially if you have a love of volcanoes like myself!

We had a lovely trip of 9 days to Etna Hotel. We booked 3 rooms, with the largest room having an excellent covered terrace. In total there are just over 30 rooms so this is a quiet place.
The pool and area is excellent, with a small pool bar serving drinks and light meals. Evening meals are served on an outside terrace and we enjoyed the food.
There are excellent views towards Etna, which was quite active during our stay.
In terms of location it is midway between Catania and Taormina. The hotel is in a small town called Giarre-Riposto which has a few cafés and shops within walking distance. The location is good but I would recommend hiring a car, even if just to get to the beach or train station: taxis seem expensive and you soon save money hiring a car, particularly if you want to go further away.

The staff provided excellent service. We were (un)lucky that Etna erupted and dropped some ash overnight; the staff did an excellent job of clearing up the ash and getting the pool open. Whilst the views of Etna were great, there is no risk apart from the occasional inconvenience of a bit on ash which only happens a few times per year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Etna Hotel Giarre. It's a beautiful place with a well-maintained pool and a relaxing atmosphere. There are plenty of sunbeds and areas for relaxation. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, providing us with extensive help and recommendations, especially during the rail strikes and when we had questions about tours and facilities. The breakfast and dinner were fantastic, offering a wide variety of options including fresh local produce. The rooms are spacious, clean, well-equipped, and in excellent condition. We could see Etna Volcano from our room which was one of the highlights of our visit. Our requests for twin rooms and specific locations were accommodated, making our stay as a group of four wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel! Thank you!

My girlfriend and I booked here for a week, we’ve had a truly lovely stay and have felt very accommodated. The restaurant and breakfast was a great addition to our stay offering some of the best food in the local area. Was a very relaxed stay and would definitely visit again, our room was cleaned daily to a great standard and all of the staff are incredibly friendly even when having to deal with people who can barely speak Italian!!
With only a 15 min walk you are in the centre of Giarre with lots of dining choices. We could have very happily eaten at the hotel every night of our stay. If you are reading this you should definitely book! I would suggest hiring a car to explore the area more!

Absolutely Amazing! My partner, son and I stayed for a week here and this is one of the best hotels we have ever been to. It has a superb view of Mount Etna, the hotel is gorgeous has lovely rooms, restaurant and a brilliant swimming pool. The Staff are fantastic, friendly and really do go out of their way to help you. We can’t wait to come back!
