King's House Hotel Resort

I came in this resort for a school trip with classmates, teachers etc. The location is pretty not gonna lie and i thought the hotel would bee pretty and nice too. Turns out i was really wrong. To begin with lunch was terrible: The Pasta that was served was described as "Pasta Con Panna e Prosciutto" i am from Italy and i know how that Pasta is served. The Past was bad-looking and it didn't have basic "panna" it had ACID "panna" and the "prosciutto" didn't even have a taste. After, they served a chicken cutlet with baked potatoes as a side dish. It was actually nice looking at first, but it took a bite to understand it wasn't as good as it looked. The cutlet had no taste at all maybe the baked potatoes were the only good thing but they weren't really good either.
The rooms looked nice too! And i was wrong even there! In the bathroom me and my classmates found used tampons and pads! That made us understand that nobody tidied that room in forever, there were stains in the beds and the little couch, the TV didn't work. We did not speak with a manager for the mess and problems because we knew they wouldn't help but others in the hotel did and we noticed they didn't care less. The floor tiles of the small terrace were soaked, every time you took a step on them they "crumbled" and a sort of brown foam with a lot of dirty water came out. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, but everyone decides for themselves.

The Hotel and cleanliness was fine. Toilets were clean and towels replaced daily. We had a family room with plenty of space available and large TV in the room. Shower pressure was excellent, toilet was also equipped with a hair dryer. Very good and fast Wifi was also provided free of charge. Reception and breakfast needs major improvement as it was very hard to communicate in English, wifi and google translate did help though. Breakfast was a nightmare. Cold restaurant, no hot water, cutlery, milk,tea or coffee unless you asked for it. We had to ask for everything every single day during our 1 week stay. Food was very limited and repetitive. Made you want to have a coffee and leave. Hotel is based in very rural area so a car is a must have. Closest restaurants are within walking distance however if you're looking to have a bigger choice you must go to nearby towns like Giarro or Mascali. Lovely views and close to Mt. Etna.
If you're going in Winter season be prepared that there is no heating in the rooms (just an aircon unit which sort of does to job), also no kettle to make hot drinks in the room.

No where close to being at royal level. Saving grace was sweet staff who did their best to serve you even with a language barrier. That is except for female owner. My air
conditioner did not work and she argued with me even though I do not speak Italian and doesn't speak English. Said it was fine although it only blew hot air. Finally super nice worker spent 2 hours trying to fix it. He ended up bringing in a portable unit and fan. Still didn't work great but I dealt with it. Found a used tampon in the planter outside our room and on grounds. Cigarette burns on gross comforter and chair. Feel bad for staff who have to deal with manager. Never would stay here again.

I've never been in such an unkempt and terrible hotel! Not only did we find dirty tampons all over the sidewalks (and including in front of our room) but, we recieved poor customer service when our air conditioner wasn't operating properly. The owner of this establishment wasn't particularly the most friendly individual and didnt take time to understand the problem. If it wasn't for the awesome staff we probably wouldnt have a chance of having an ok stay. To top that all off, there were cigarette burn Mark's all over the blankets and the pillows had unknown stains. The only good part of this hotel was the few wild life my family and I saw.
