Hotel Villa Dirce in Limone sul Garda

A beautiful hotel with fantastic views of lake Garda, excellent service from all the staff.we will be returning in the future.

Lovely hotel, clean, comfortable hotel - offers a good breakfast, but no restaurant in the evening. Fabulous receptions Julia - she couldn’t do enough for us, she was amazing & so friendly. They offer a shuttle bus, which helps as it is a hike to the village, uphill.

Staff were friendly and helpful, Hotel was contempery clean ,well maintain. there is a shuttle bus to Limone but you can walk there in 15 mins, though hill is a bit steep. Beatiful views from my balcony and the resturant great place to sit and enjoy Lake Garda. Good breakfast good selection and choice. Would stay again

We stayed here at the start of July for a week and were blown away by the views. Our room was 221 which seemed very central and the view was amazing of the lake. The hotel staff seemed to work very hard and there were a few faces that didn't seem to leave the place! Limone is a 15 minute walk from the hotel but consists all of hills. This didn't bother us because the view all the way was beautiful; however, the walk may be a problem for others. The location was great for excursions - much better than we thought beforehand, and there were many options for excursions. We visited Verona and Venice. The food isn't up to much in the hotel but I don't see why anyone would travel to Italy and eat in the hotel? Also, our double room was just 2 single beds pushed together. However, the room was cleaned everyday and the bathroom was perfectly adequate! The view and location really made our holiday as we didn't spend much time in the hotel as the surroundings were too amazing to stay in, but the swimming pool and sunbathing area were nice!

A bit of a walk into the resort centre, though a very nice walk! (though a free shuttle bus runs multiple times a day, both there and back)

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Dirce. The hotel is in a very picturesque location, the views from the bedrooms and public areas are stunning. You can enjoy the vista from everywhere in the hotel which is a real bonus. The walk into the centre of Limone (ferry port) took us 25 minutes and was very pleasant with opportunity to enjoy the scenery. There are a couple of bars on the way that you can stop at if you wish. Other people have said it takes anything between 10 and 30 mins. We did find the path very crowded which increased the duration of the walk. I'm not sure it would be achievable in 10 minutes. There were many cyclists and dodging them was tricky in places. There were also larger groups of people walking and it took some time get past them. It would probably take less time when there are fewer visitors. It was also quite hot when we were there (for us anyway), so we were not walking at a fast pace either. As people have highlighted, it is hilly in places and I don't think the steps would be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. You can avoid the steps if you cross the road outside the hotel to the carpark on the other side then immediately cross back again when the path starts. It is a busy road so you cannot walk on the road. You can then cut down the road to the left beside the bus stop to rejoin the lakeside path or there are another set of steps just past the bus stop. We found this was a slightly quicker route and avoids some of the more congested areas on the path. The hotel shuttle is an excellent service. Fairly regular and drops off at a sister hotel at the top of the town. It only takes 5 minutes and is a few minutes walk from the lake front. There is a supermarket beside the pick up point if you needed any souvenirs / water and didn't want to walk back in the heat with heavy bags. The drivers were all really helpful and kind. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The room attendants work tirelessly and will always check if you need anything if you don't want your room serviced. We stayed in a superior room. They are small, but well equipped. Plenty of power sockets. There is good storage in the bathroom, shower is very big with good pressure. Small thing, but a shelf in the shower would be useful. There are plentiful products in the bathroom, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body cream and hairdryer. Pool towels, robes and slippers are provided. There is a kettle, tea, coffee and biscuits. There is also a bottle of still and sparkling water provided on arrival and a fridge in the room if you want to store more water. The bed was comfortable with good quality bedding and pillows. The air conditioning is centrally controlled. It didn't seem possible even to switch it off. We don't generally like to have it on overnight because of the noise so had to leave the window open so it knocked off. You can tilt the terrace door so it opens at the top rather. The terrace in the room was great.

Was a great hotel, all the staff from the lovely receptionists, to breakfast to the shuttle drivers even the cleaners were alI so kind and welcoming didn’t manage to get everyone’s names so I do apologise. The rooms were clean, looked nice and were very comfortable, we had a superior room so we had a balcony with table and chairs, the view from our room was very beautiful too, the rooms were cleaned and had fresh towels put in if you left the sign on the door 😊. The pool area and sunbathing areas were clean and very spacious, the also have a spa area there was a steam room & massage too although we didn’t use these, we only used the pool and sun loungers there was always plenty available, they also have a whirlpool with more sun loungers too. Breakfast, we only had this 3 or 4 days as we did activities but it was a different selection of stuff each day and you could get as much as you wanted we enjoyed it each time we had this. You could also get drinks and a small selection of food from the bar and this would be paid when you checked out which I thought was a good idea we used it a few times and was able to take drinks to our room aswell. As people have mentioned in reviews you can also walk to limone, if you go where the whirlpool is in the hotel there is some steps and if you follow the path you can take a nice walk into limone😊 We really enjoyed staying at the hotel and if we came back to limone we come back here again. Would like to thank all the staff again for your great hospitality and service 😊
