Good laundromat nearby. Hotel is a bit of a hike up sets of stairs, but nonetheless convenient to the main area of Taormina. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Carmelo. Our room and the hotel in general had fabulous views. We enjoyed watching the smoking Etna from afar, during our second breakfast.

This hotel was not plush but it was lovely. Balconies were generous with views out over towards Catania, Etna and the Taormina bay. The pool was such a beautiful setting with a beautiful Mediterranean garden going up the mountainside and sweeping views of the town, bay, coast and Etna.
The room was basic but lovely with a mini bar, seats, everything we needed really and a large window that opened as well as the door out. Huge balcony. Lovely space to relax and read or chill either inside the room or on the balcony.
Gorgeous fresh fruit, salad, cakes, meats and cheese for breakfast. The staff couldn't do enough for you.
Just a few minutes walk down the steps into the main road of town.
We had the best week here and recommend 100%.

Hotel was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful. Views from the room of the sea and Mount Etna were amazing.

In need of an upgrade
Great views, comfortable bed, bathroom and shower in desperate need of renovation, smell from the sink drain, breakfast very limit, although good coffee. Pool was nice but a little on the cold side! Lift to the rooms a little sketchy and small! Overall, 4* hotel with a 2* bathroom and breakfast.

My stay at this hotel was like no other! I stayed here for 3 weeks and never felt so much like home. The hotel staff are incredible itself, super nice and hospitality is amazing. My favourite part was the view. At the end of the day it does have a vintage feel but that made me love it even more. Im definitely coming back same time next year. Grazie again to salvo and rosario !

The balcony had an amazing view of Mt. Etna and the city. We enjoyed the view a lot, but there were downsides. The beds were super uncomfortable compared to other locations we have been staying. The shower is also very tiny and hard to move around in. The staff was very helpful and friendly the entire time we just prefer not to leave our key everytime we were going out of the hotel. Our air conditioning was leaking in the entrance and the housekeeping ladies made sure to get it fixed for us.

Didn’t like the fact that we didn’t have a hot water kettle or any complimentary items in the room, the shower was very small and the beds were uncomfortable

Other than the views and the location, there is nothing good about this hotel. I’d start to say that the manager (older tall slim man) is extremely rude and completely arrogant, falsely accused us of doing things we didn’t do such as asking for pool towels 2 days in a row or asking for ice 2 days in a row, none of which we did. However even if someone did, I don’t see the issue in that.
Breakfast is below average with very limited choices and is rarely refilled so if you’re there at 9:30 don’t expect anything to be refilled if it’s empty, staff patronising in their reply say that breakfast ends at 10am and that its not worth refilling. Also, Furniture is extremely dated, bathroom is tiny, low sink and small shower over bath. Still original from the 60’s, can appreciate retro but not when it’s uncomfortable to use.
I don’t generally badly review businesses unless it’s extremely warranted. But when you pay for a 4 star hotel (not cheap) and instead get berated and falsely accused for things numerous times by the manager or barely manage to eat any breakfast even though you arrived well before closes, it is deserved in my opinion.

Incredible pool area - it’s a big reason why we booked. The view is unmatched. Overall the hotel is well-maintained with what appeared to be mostly original furniture annd fixtures including the original turquoise tile bathroom from the 60s/70s (I would guess). The location is perfect: a short walk to the main street with most of the historical sites, restaurants and shopping, and yet perfectly quiet. The view at breakfast is also incredible. Breakfast itself was adequate and included scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, fruit juice, etc. Overall it was charming and unique.
