This place is amazing, fun, clean, central for walking, and a short walk to the train station. Definably doable for wheelchair accessible travelers or those traveling with a wheelchair accessible companion. Great area, safe for walking and central. Beautiful roof top lounge on promises.

Grand Hotel Mattei (Ravenna) was a great place to regroup and reset after 4 weeks of road travel and touring. Plenty of easy parking right outside, wow! The lifts were big and fast. Check-in quick. Rooms clean and comfortable. Bathroom and shower were a good size, with places to put makeup and hair stuff. Hanging places for towels and a shaving/makeup mirror (so many places don't have this, which is such a simple addition!) More lighting in the bathroom is always a good thing. The bed was very comfortable. The restaurant for dinner was fabulous, busy, but fast service.
Breakfast was fabulous.
Would have liked secured Wifi, or at least a message to say the Hotspot was secure.
All in all really great.

Nice hotel, excellent staff, good restaurant. Available to accommodate your requests (we were travelling with kids and we required an out-of-menu dish for them: no problem and served with a positive feeling to do something nice for the kids and not as a favour for the parents). Logistic base for Mirabilandia park, old western theme room. Kids enjoyed. Excellent breakfast!

Overall great stay. When staff are friendly it makes a difference. And the staff is super friendly!!! Checked out before dawn and the gentleman at the reception desk offered complimentary coffee.
Location: out of old town so it's very convenient as a good road hotel for conferences, business meetings without the hassle of parking etc.
Rooms are clean and spacious but old fashion. Very small LCD screen.
Bathroom is big and the shower is very spacious but water stream and water temperature changes frequently during a shower.
Beds are decent t.
Working space to put your laptop is big enough and Wifi is workable.

Most awful experience at a hotel I have ever had. Bar decides one day it closes at 12pm other days closes at 2pm. You can’t eat or get a drink between 12pm-5pm. It is situated on a dual carriageway so there’s no way to get to any amenities without taking a taxi. The majority of the staff are rude and careless to customer needs. It feels like being in prison.
The only good thing is the rooms are well air conditioned and the bed is comfortable.

A very nice hotel at the outskirts of Ravenna. Staff was very polite and efficient. The room was very clean. It did have a funny light switch layout (and it really was funny, enough to be mentioned here: there were way more switches than there were lights). The restaurant was good and the breakfast buffet offered plenty of (good) food.

We entered our suite to find a very spacious area. The bed was comfortable and they were the only pluses. We did not find the reception staff helpful. We were extremely disappointed to find there was nowhere nearby to have a meal. The dining room started service at 7.30pm. There is no coffee bar for snacks or coffee during the day. We cannot recommend this hotel as it is too far from the city centre and one needs to use taxis to get around. This is not a hotel for older people. Perhaps our standards are too high. The star system is not accurate. However judging by the reviews we read we wondered if we were in the same hotel.
Sadly we will not stay here after our next cruise.

Good location close to city. Ideally when using a bike to go to city centre (centro storico).
