Rooms were modern. However can be very noisy. Staff seems to like to yell at 6am. Not one, but all. The room i had, seems to be below the breakfast dining area and was noisy.

A big disappointment!
Our room was a big disappointment for a 4 star hotel, totally unacceptable: In the basement, with NO WINDOW, no ventilation in the bathroom and a smell of cockroach killer. When we complained they said we have booked an economy room, and that was it. However, nowhere it was made clear during booking what "economy" really means! We left this mousetrap and the hotel right away, at midnight, since they said there was no other room available. Since we had a 5 night reservation, our agency contacted them the next morning making the complaint. They told her that they had one room available on the ground floor with window. When we went back to check it out, we realised that the room they were talking about was STILL in the basement (so they lied to our agent) with a window to a left over narrow open space (what they call a courtyard in their descriptions) where they keep empty bottle cages and trash. A friend that was travelling with us was given a ground floor room with a window at an air shaft, but since he was staying only for a couple of nights, he decided to stay. And I wonder, how a hotel can take 4 stars with such rooms?!!! So, unless you make it crystal clear you will be given a room facing the street avoid this place.
(After hotel's reply) An apology in English would be more appropriate.

This was our second stay at the Medinblu. The location is spot on. You can walk into town with all the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff are friendly and speak English. The room deco is beautiful. You will have a wonderful time!!!

Great location, big rooms. The restaurant has was delicious and had great views. My husband left a sweater in the closet and the hotel contacted us and had it shipped to Florence. Absolutely amazing service.

The rooftop terrace restaurant was a very pleasant spot for an excellent Sunday lunch of spaghetti with clams, mussels, and shrimp in a light tomato sauce followed by grilled octopus and a side of eggplant caponata. The views over the city combined with wonderful food made this meal memorable.

This should be a 5 star hotel. The staff the location and the rooms were all perfect. Staff very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Front desk staff always polite and eager to help. Chris and his team at breakfast always greeted us with happy smiles and knew our coffee order. We had a fantastic 5 days there.

Great location right in the center and 3 minute walk to the beach.
The staff was very nice and accommodating.
They made a reservation for us at a near by restaurant and upgraded our room free of charge as a Christmas gift.
The breakfast was very good too at the roof of the hotel.
The problem with this being on the main street was the noise at night, it was 3:00 am and we could hear people talking outside.

The overall atmosphere and look are nice. I honestly expected a bit more from this hotel especially because of the high price per night. We got a superior double, so far nothing special.

There is a beautiful terrace on top of the hotel where you'll have the breakfast but unfortunately it was very hot during the morning and no A/C or ventilation provided. The other bad note is that we got back to the hotel at night (11.45pm) we hoped to spend at least a hour at the terrace bar drinking some cocktails and experience the beautiful view but The terrace was close. A bit disappointing for an hotel that try to show an international approach and doesn't even keep the bar open until 1 am of Saturday night.
