I stayed at Hotel Cortina in Rimini from August 21 to 28, 2023, booked through Tez Tour. Unfortunately, my experience was far from positive.
The first room I was given (no. 218) was unacceptable: extremely small, broken furniture, a safe that didn’t work, rusty bathroom details, and old, uncomfortable furnishings. Nothing like the photos on the hotel’s website. Only after complaining – and thanks to the intervention of the tour operator – was I moved to another room (no. 108), which was small but decent and acceptable for a 3-star hotel.
I thought the issue was solved, but in the following days the owner’s behavior became unpleasant. I was repeatedly bothered with unjustified complaints, which felt like harassment, especially towards guests from Eastern Europe. Meanwhile, Italian guests seemed to enjoy complete freedom.
On the positive side: the staff (maids, cook, receptionist) were absolutely wonderful – professional, kind, and very hard-working. Sadly, the owner’s attitude overshadowed their efforts.
In short: very clean hotel and good food, but poor management and discriminatory treatment. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for foreign tourists

The girls who work there are running around like bees. It is obvious that they have a lot of workload, if it were possible to give them a rating specifically, it would be the highest. They are accommodating, very polite and pleasant. They communicate with everyone as equals, in warm relations with the hotel guests. Very attentive, will answer all questions, right down to how to get to this or that city. They create this family atmosphere in the hotel. Cleaning in the room is simpler than in other hotels, but that makes it better. Nobody touches your personal things, all bed linen and towels are changed regularly. The room is always clean. Special thanks to the girls who clean. The owner is quite friendly, gave his personal bicycles for an hour to ride. In general, if you have questions or a request, you will definitely be heard, and a solution will be provided literally within a minute. Food: Pros - 1. Every day a completely different dinner, 2 dishes are provided to choose from 4 positions. The food is exclusively Italian. There is soup, meat and pasta. I was also surprised that there is wine and a buffet at dinner, where every day is about the same - vegetables, salad, there was even Olivier, baked vegetables and grilled vegetables. There is also deep-fried food (French fries / potato sticks). In general, it is impossible to stay hungry. Breakfast is mostly sweet, but there are also salty dishes. Girls, remember that you are great!

I stayed a week in June. Simple hotel, clean lobby, slightly unkempt garden. Rooms with simple and practical furnishings, bathroom a little dated but very clean. Very white and soft towels. Comfortable bed. The staff unfortunately does not know much Italian, but very kind and helpful. The owner is very courteous and kind, with the true courtesy of someone from Romagna. The food was good and plentiful. Overall there is a little room for improvement but the value for money is very good. I had a very good time and will definitely return

I booked a room at this hotel and I found the owner switched me to another hotel which is 3 building near Cortina hotel.
Overall the other hotel is ok but the personnel is unfriendly and also they keep the coffee machine unreachable it means everytime you want a coffee you need to ask them .
To be honest next time in case if I will visit Rimini I will check another option.

The owner is completely unfriendly and doesn't accept criticism that simply he runs the place with unfriendly attitude and he doesn't try to be nice with the guests however anyone tries to leave notes about his or her time there, he is just attacking!
Overall the other hotel is ok but the personnel is unfriendly and also they keep the coffee machine unreachable it means everytime you want a coffee you need to ask them .

Family run hotel! Excellent quality food and always abundant dishes, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and helpful! I have been coming here for many years and have always had a great time. When you do one-star reviews just to write two things just to... use first names and surnames not nicknames of menga, those are fake reviews! Highly recommended!!!

Went as a companion for a group of students: The structure, although externally decent, is poorly located and the street is not passable by buses, the interiors are old with floor showers that flood the bathrooms, bidets not working, not to mention the kitchen of low quality and very limited packed lunches and where mold was also found. Absolutely to avoid

mold present, room with bad smell, rooms not clean, old windows, not suitable for children, small lift, dirty tablecloths, no bread at the table, there were stains on the toilet, dirty towels, food intolerances are not respected... bad experience

If only I could I would have reviewed 0 stars. We came on a school trip, terrible hotel, dirty and dusty rooms, and let's not talk about the food!! poor and for this reason many of us have been physically ill. On the first day we presented our complaints to the staff regarding the excessive presence of dust in every corner... the solution? they provided us with a broom and dustpan to resolve this inconvenience ourselves. Cold rooms, bathrooms in terrible condition, some without shower cubicles. Beds with dirty sheets full of hair no one knows whose. To conclude, terrible experience.

Having spent one week in this hotel, I am surprised by some of the really positive comments I have read as they don't reflect my experience of this place. In all fairness, the rooms are simple and clean enough (though some issues with the fixtures and the noisy air conditioning). The location is great and close to all amenities. The food is mediocre and does not reflect what Romagna has to offer ( actually the worst food I have ever eaten in Italy). The staff are friendly and extremely hard-working except for the manager/owner who I think is rude, short tempered and conceited.
