This is definitely not a 5 stars hotel. Even not a coffee machine in the room. Impossible to have a decent wifi connection in the rooms. We rent one of the biggest rooms and there is even nowhere to work with a computer. Perhaps it’s normal since the wifi is very poor…
They advertise a restaurant but when you want to book they say that they have guests from exterior and so no restaurant.
Room service? Yes but be prepared to eat standing up. There is no chair in the room.
Bathroom especially the shower is really not modern.
The spa is just a joke! 215€ for a simple face care! 120€ to go the pool for 2 hours!… that is called a rip-off.
We paid for a extra for the car but nobody took care of the car.

Very disappointed with the rooms. very poor wifi, no table to work, no chair for room service, no coffee machine. The hospitality is not really at a level of a 5 star luxe hotel.

She’s old, she’s been inspiring, she’s inspired…and she still shines like Cellini’s golden masterworks.
The GHR is a grand dame, known throughout the world—and rightly so. Luxury hotels elsewhere could learn a thing or two from GHR’s staff with regard to guest service.
If one finds oneself in delightful Rimini, just drive here and check in—there’s no other option quite like the GHR.

The hotel's classy and beautiful setting is 6 stars. The staff, 5 stars. Views from the front side rooms are 5 stars. Room amenities and bathroom, 4 stars. The breakfast buffet 4 stars and the lunch 4 stars. The hotel beach is a bit of walk from the hotel. The noise from dinner concerts on the terrace, at least 3 evenings a week, was beyond comprehension.

The exterior and grounds were lovely, but nothing about our experience said 5 star hotel, from our check in experience, the nonexistent WiFi in the room to the many loose floorboards and broken bathtub to the laughable excuse for a “gym”. As early risers the aggressively loud and tacky live music played outside every other night until late ruined our experience. If I hadn’t payed upfront I would have checkout out after our first night. A 3 star hotel at best masquerading as a 5 star thanks to its pretty facade. Would not return or recommend

Pool was so “cloudy” that you could not see the bottom. You could not tell how deep the water was because the water wasn’t clear and there were no markers on the pool walls showing the depth. The ladders are very slippery, so much so that I slipped getting in. SAFETY!!
The elevator in the lobby is old, very small and for lack of expression seems to be dangerous. It’s very old tech and there are no mechanisms to hold the door open. It closes very fast and I’d hate to see what happens if a person, especially a kid gets an arm or leg stuck in it! But it is a very stately hotel. Buffet breakfast is just average for a hotel of that supposed class. It’s by no means a 5 star hotel. No where near that.

Difficult to judge, beautiful building let down by very average rooms, even if the bathrooms are nice. The entrance doesnt do the hotel justice. Location is great and the beach very nice with an excellent buffet. Spa staff fairly unwelcoming. Breakfast is good but one would expect proper orange juice instead of the articial stuff served. One would also expect a complimentary bottle of water, some international tv channels. Wifi seemed ok. Take a room with a seaview... the carpark view is pretty ugly. Nearly gave the place a 3 but the history of the place saved it.

It’s a great place! But how is it possible that guest from your hotel, have to go outside for dinner when there is a fancy party for people not staying in the hotel. This was t just one time! We weren’t allowed on the terras or in the restaurant. We guests pay for service!
How is it possible that the old pool man give private swimming lessons for Italians while guests are in the same pool. The man even got the cleaning pool machine one while guests were in it. This isn’t 5⭐️worthy.

The rooms are way to small the beds are broken in and i would never go back the sinks didn’t work.The service was the worst part they didn’t clean the room at all even tho i saw them go in there and the pool was extremely dirty and there was one worker who was rude and I asked to go into the gym and she spit in my face. I WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN.
