Hotel Royal in Sesto

My wife and I spent a truly wonderful long weekend here. From the very first inquiry, we immediately felt the friendliness, warmth, and helpfulness of the staff. It’s clear that this is a family-run hotel, managed with genuine passion and heart.

The rooms are beautifully renovated, and waking up every morning to the view of the Sexten Dolomites from our room put a smile on our faces. But what impressed us the most was the food. Breakfast is phenomenal — everything you could wish for, fresh and of outstanding quality, definitely on the level of a 4- or even 5-star hotel. The presentation is carefully thought out, with notes about the origins of the dishes, most of which are locally sourced.

Dinner offered a wide selection, and the quality of each dish was exceptional. Personally, I would have preferred slightly smaller portions — on our first evening we ordered a little too much! But we enjoyed it so much that we chose to dine in the hotel every night during our stay instead of looking elsewhere. The waitress was wonderfully kind and often made us laugh. At the reception, we always received helpful answers from both receptionists, who were consistently cheerful and welcoming.

The hotel also provides a garage and a secure space for storing bicycles. I noticed that the hotel’s founders are still actively present, ensuring that everything runs perfectly. The surroundings of the hotel are beautifully maintained, down to the smallest detail.

The only thing I missed — and I’m sure it will be added soon — was the option to charge an electric car. There is, however, a fast-charging station in San Candido near the summer toboggan run, available at a reasonable price.

We originally planned to stay for two nights but ended up staying three — and we wished we could have stayed even longer.

My stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional! We spent 4 wonderful days here, and I can honestly say it exceeded all our expectations. The breakfast was a true highlight, with everything made from the highest quality ingredients. I particularly loved the fresh fruit press, the availability of flower pollen to sprinkle on my muesli, the homemade jams, and my absolute favorite—the house-made pistachio cream. The view from our room was breathtaking, and the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic experience. I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to return!

This hotel has one of the most beautiful, unique views. The hospitality is great. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Amazing shower and bathroom. The dinner is not included in the price, but it was so delicious that I recommend it. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, with plenty of choices. Guests have access to a spa/sauna area. Be warned, most men are completely naked, as I am a woman, and a tourist in Europe, it caught me off guard but the spa amenities took my mind off of that. So I do wish the spa area was separated by gender. We were given a bus pass for the local areas for free. And there is a snack time in the afternoon, which is free, but if you order a beer or alcoholic drinks, they will charge you. I also wish the hotel offered English channels on the TV for night time. Overall, a great hotel, the mountain view and location is worth returning for.

I came back to Hotel Royal after the 3years covid-break hoping that everything will be as I remembered. And it was! They managed very well and I enjoyed a perfect week in Sesto-Moso. I have to mention the cappuccino that is for sure the best in the area :-) Thanks to Peter (SK) and Watschinger-Steiner Family, wish you the best and hopefully see you again in 2023.

If you are looking for an amazing place to ski in/out in Sesto then this is the place for you! Hotel Royal has once again outdone itself on my most recent trip. The rooms are amazingly clean, modern, and spacious along with excellent sound deadening as we did not hear a thing while in our room. The staff are PHENOMENAL, I have never stayed somewhere and felt so at home. They are extremely nice, polite, and helpful. The food is amazing and they go above and beyond to cater to any allergies you may have. As someone with celiac disease I have never been provided with the options and care that the staff here provides. This is one of the few places I feel truly comfortable to eat at while traveling! Everything about this hotel makes for a wonderful stay in the mountains. I plan on coming back here for years to come.

We spent two wonderful weeks, perfect customer oriented management, breakfast and dinner with quality products and always very appreciated. The rooms equipped with every comfort and maximum attention to cleanliness. Location of the property excellent. All perfect!!!!
