This hotel would have for sure gotten 5 stars had i not got food poisoning from one of the on-site restaurants. The service is great, everyone is friendly, the building and property are beautiful, and the food is good, although a bit overpriced. I was only here for 3 nights so losing a day and a half due to food poisoning but a bit of a damper on the mood.

5* hotel! We enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to return. It does help to book restaurants in advance. We had a lovely boat trip arranged by the hotel and a special dinner at their sister hotel, Passalacqua. The front desk staff were always very helpful during our stay. A Gem on the lake!

Perfect little hotel right on the edge of Lake Como.... The balcony rooms have a simply stunning view of the lake. The rooms are reasonable size. Good for the price. Nice room and bathroom. The floor was sticky. Nice staff but no one spoke English, only Italian. The breakfast was also good for the price: great coffee, many sweet pastries, joghurt and fresh fruits, but only one type of white bread, one cheese and one ham, no eggs. Every day the same.

Poster Brughee is a vacation in heaven. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathrooms are plentiful, the pool and hot tub are wondrous after a long day of walking, and the host, Guiseppe, is a wonderful person. Stunning! The views from our rooms were right out of a picture book or a fairy tale. The beds were most comfy and we just adored the view. We stayed here 10/2015 on our first night of our honeymoon, I wanted a nice hotel on the lake that would be afford a comfortable sleep after an 8 hour flight. Very friendly service. Reception with drink and appetizer. There was no oil or spices in the apartment which one would expect as standard. There was no air conditioning but a standing fan. Stopped here for a beer during my Greenway del lago walkabout. Got there aroumd 6 PM. There is not much of a view but it was great observing the interactions between the locals. A beer is about half the price here, Euro 4 for a .66 liter bottle. Did not eat. Friendly staff.

Honestly can’t thank this hotel enough! I have a gluten allergy ( coeliac disease) we went to about 5 restaurants and they all said no can’t serve you! Such a beautiful place to stay. It's only a 20 min walk to Bellagio from here but there are regular buses that take you there for free. Really comfy rooms and delicious breakfast that Amelia cooks herself with products from her own farm.

It's a family business hotel. I really like the coziness and the calm aspect with an extremely professional and helpful and respectful owners/managers(Alice and Elena) . Their attitude reminds you of the vertus that rarely exist nowadays. Its a 1km distance from lenno ferry and 30 second walk from bus stop. Food is really good and cleanness is excellent.

Our room was very clean and nice to stay at. No daily change of towels and bedsheets for shorter stays. The breakfast is simple but nice. ~20 min down/uphill walk to/from the lake, which can be a little exhausting in the sun. Very friendly owner who is willing to make calls for reservations or requests.

The staff is very friendly and nice. The rooms are ok, shower and toiled could use some renovation and modern look. Hotel Excelsior Splendide is in a perfect spot for travel to LAKE COMO , centrally located with steps to the many ferries that stop there daily. Within 1000 feet are 4 ports for everything from car boats to fast boats and water taxis. Bellagio is very hilly with steps that seem to go on forever. This hotel is in a great location right on the lake and it has a fabulous breakfast and a really nice restaurant that has live music twice a week. The hotel is slightly outdated but the rooms are a decent size and so are the bathrooms. The location is best in Bellagio. Our bedroom was overlooking the lake with absolutely uninterrupted views. Rooms were clean and everything of convenience was available 😃! A staff at the hotel even accommodated a request for coffee at 5:30am in the morning.
