It is unfortunate that we only spend one night. If we already knew that we will be that satisfied, would definitely stay longer. Tastefully designed pool and landscape with comfortable furniture, good location, clean and cozy room and friendly stuff. It was a pleasant stay

Ants were all over the floor in our room - in the shower, toilet, and swarming near a rug by the bed. We asked for a new room - hotel was full and they called other hotels but everywhere else was full. So they cleaned the room and we slept there. In the morning the ants were back. They said this was the first time this happened. They gave us 50% off the room (I asked for a full refund and they said no). Also when we ran the air conditioner at night, my husband woke up coughing a lot (zero other symptoms). Turned off the air conditioner and he was fine after about an hour. Also they scolded me for filling up a water bottle with filtered water at breakfast (we are cycling). This was a terrible experience, we had much better stays at budget hotels.

I would describe this hotel as quirky. Old building and a nice garden with very modern buildings added; some stylish decor in the entrance of the old hotel and perhaps the garden, but in other areas on the ground floor and in our room, I did not love the colour scheme or furniture, or the use of curtains instead of cupboard doors. We had 2 rooms and they were on the 1st floor in the old building; there were stairs to reach the rooms and a step up into the bathroom in both rooms. The bathrooms were ok: everything worked but our shower flooded the bathroom. The bedroom was not very spacious and the storage offered was not ideal. The bed was comfortable, the a/c worked fine. There was an honesty system to help yourself to drinks, which was a nice friendly touch. The breakfast buffet was good: some nice homemade things as well as some typical cereals, bread, etc. We made use of the garden and pool for an afternoon: it was nice to be in a city centre hotel and to have the garden and pool. The mosquitoes were hungry in that garden (and other places in Udine) and I got a lot of bites. The hotel was quiet and the location was convenient: easy to walk to the centre. Udine seems like a nice small city. We hoped to eat in a restaurant which we located and found closed; we ended up eating pizza (teenagers’ choice), so we didn’t get to experience the famous culinary delights of Udine.

Thank you Anna, Aldo and wonderful staff at Hotel Clocchiatti! Staying at your hotel is the highlight of our year of travels. The beds/rooms are clean and comfortable, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped with a small pool and patio. Breakfasts are delicious and generous, and the location is perfect for walking to the Teatro Nuovo.

Rooms in the main Villa aren’t soundproofed, loud traffic throughout the night, also an overwhelming smell of pest repellent/ mothballs. Seems that all rooms differ greatly from one another. Can’t recommend staying in Villa, especially 207. Probably the annexes are more like the advertised pictures.

Wouldn’t recommend
Not the worst hotel I’ve been in, but there were a few problems that made the stay less pleasant.
Please be advised that late check-in might be an issue. On the app I booked it only said check-in opens at 2pm but not that it closes in the evening (8pm if I saw correctly). During late hours there was no one at the reception.
The room was ok, but the one I stayed in was not to my taste, I suppose. Bright orange and pitch black don’t feel comfortable for a hotel stay, but others might like it.
The hotel annex where most of the rooms are, seems to be built from a storage building or a barn.
The room smelled, whether it’s the carpet or the drapes, I couldn’t tell.
Service seemed quite poor and the gentleman preparring the breakfast was quite annoyed at being approached.
Breakfast was ok, nothing special, we found better coffee and pastry in the bakery.
The toilet was mostly clean, apart from the toilet seat which hasn’t been cleaned.
I also found a few insects in the room.
All in all, it’s not worth the price.

A very nice hotel with a pleasant atmosphere. Stylish, functional rooms. The bathroom is new, clean, great. Breakfast on the terrace was completely fine, sufficient selection. Near the center of the town, good location, and parking in the hotel area is an advantage. Very pleasant gentleman at the reception. He recommended a great pizzeria in town. Thank you, we were very satisfied.

Hotel staff were wonderful. It does need an elevator as 2 flights is a lot to walk up.

Beautiful house in a comfortable walking distance from the center. Great design of the room, perfect amenities and hosts. Easy parking. Swimming pool and design terrace where even at breakfast smooth jazz plays in the background. It's just so relaxing.
