We stayed for one night in the junior suite with a hot tub and sauna. While the room itself was decent, we were unable to use the sauna properly as it only worked for 3–4 minutes before shutting off. When we poured water into the sauna container, it leaked from the bottom, flooding the bathroom. We had to use most of the towels to clean up the mess.
The staff seemed to have little knowledge of the property, and some receptionists—particularly a blonde-haired girl—were unpleasant and unprofessional. We also had issues with the heating, which was controlled from the reception. Despite calling twice, including once during the night, it was never turned off. We had to sleep with the balcony open, only to wake up covered in insect bites.
For the price paid, we had higher expectations. On a positive note, breakfast was very satisfying, and the girl serving it was friendly and attentive. I hope if we return, the service will improve. I strongly recommend better staff training, especially regarding the more expensive rooms.

This hotel looks like heaven on earth from the online photos but what it doesn’t show you is the loud, polluted port outside your window. We paid for a sea view and we got a view of the port. We paid for an upgrade to get a better view. The only advantage to this hotel was its proximity to the town at a short walking distance. They do have a nightclub every night until 1:00am but it didn’t bother us, we were so tired we fell asleep. The rooms were really old too. We asked for the newer rooms but they were not available. They did tell us the terrible view rooms of the port were for people who book on online sites as opposed to directly with the hotel. Most of the staff were friendly except for Julia, who was really rude. Do your best to avoid her, she’s not helpful.

I could write so many good things about this hotel but I am not amd I'm giving it 1 star. No matter how nice the hotel is...if you can't sleep at night because of noise then it is no good. Unless you are into the club scene STAY AWAY. There is club down on the beach that is SOO loud. You can hear the bass pounding through the wall and an Italien DJ screaming in the microphone from 11 to 4:30....every night. We read the reviews before booking and we contacted the hotel because of the noise problems in other reviews. We were promised a room furthest away from the club supposedly without the noise problem. That turned out to be a direct lie. I am a rock'n roll musician and used to loud - but not this. I hade earplugs and my noise cancelling headphone on. Not enough. I could feel the bass in the bed. The windows were vibrating. I have posted a picture of my noise meter just to show that I am not exaggerating. I was a very disappointing experience....especially because we researched and was lied to. The noise level was between 93-95 decibel (look it up if you dont know what that means. The video and noise measurements are from August 28th 2024. Awful.

Booked a "cheap" room and got what I paid for. They relegated me to the oldest part of the hotel...a bit bashed up with a nice view of the container yard. Breakfast was good with lovely views. Nice private beach. Pretty good location within a short walk of local Italy, full of good and inexpensive dining.
But this place has seen better days and you can feel it. I'm sure there are better options in Solerno proper if you want to avoid the excessive prices of the Amalfi.

We had a superior room in the new/renovated part of the hotel. Before booking we were made aware of the nearby party location by the receptionist, which we could hear through closed windows but did not represent a major disturbance. When we arrived, the personnel was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has free parking and our room was in a very luxurious condition. The hotel offers a panoramic view unfortunately the view is not very nice due to the nearby port. All in all a nice stay for one night.

This hotel is far from 4 stars. The room we got smelled heavily of smoke, there is no fresh fruit at breakfast and the staff do not even greet you and are very unfriendly. At the breakfast buffet, there are no glasses; you get disposable plastic cups. The fitness room which is advertised was closed and we got a room with twin beds instead of a double bed and had to pay extra to change it. Towels have holes and the rooms are old. Additionally to the smell, there were ants in the room and the balcony was certainly not cleaned in the last few weeks. The only nice thing at this hotel is the beach bar where staff is friendly and service is good. However, be prepared to pay extra for sunbeds and towels at the beach. Overall, the hotel would be ok for maybe half the price and a rating of 2-3 stars. But for the price we paid, it was a disgrace. We can definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone.

LLOYD BAYA HOTEL in Vietri sul Mare (Salerno, Italy) – the worst hotel I’ve ever met, at least as the staff is concerned. A short story: we reserved a two-room suite for ten days from 8.08.21 to pass nice holidays in 4* hotel, sea view, etc. and at the same time to help our daughter who had an engagement in the local opera “Teatro Verdi” with her 18 months son while she had rehearsals and performances. When I and my wife arrived to Salerno at about 8 pm, our daughter accompanied us to the hotel to check-in and here, we’ve got a surprise: the receptionist told us that our daughter has no right at all to come to our room, not even to change a baby. Why? “Because it’s a national policy!” It meant that during our stay our daughter and her baby would not be able to visit us in our room which made our stay in Salerno senseless. I’m 81, I travelled a lot and stayed in dozens if not hundreds of hotels and never it happened that somebody could not come to my room to have a talk or to drink a glass (besides in the USSR in the ancient Soviet times or maybe in the North Korea). When we asked to show us where this ridiculous rule is written the receptionist instead called police, as if two elderly persons and a young woman with a crying baby in hands were going to make a hold-up of this bloody hotel! Under the circumstances we decided to cancel our reservation but the sadistic receptionist didn’t even let us go before police arrived (by the way, police guys were very friendly and comprehensive and excused for this crazy situation). Finally, the receptionist cancelled our reservation but charged us for this “warm” reception 230€ “for the late cancellation”!
It was very late already and, after about two hours spent in the reception hall on our feet with a crying baby in hands, all of us were forced to spend the first night in Salerno in the small appartement of my daughter. Thus, the beginning of such awaited holidays turned into a nightmare.
As to “the national policy”, the next day we stayed in another hotel where the staff didn’t even understand why I asked if my daughter with her baby could come to my room. On the contrary, they were very hospitable, happy to help us if needed, etc. But this is another story.
I would recommend everybody to avoid by all means the hotel where the staff can treat clients in such a disgusting manner!

Nice Location but Hotel needs work. My room, just remodeled, AC did not work properly. One elevator for a big Hotel. Did not try the beach.
