Hotel Cetus

Serena went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Her ability to problem solve and make customers feel special should be rewarded.
Elena does need to work on her customer service - perhaps Serena could provide this.
I did not give 5 stars due to the fact that quite a few of us that stayed at the hotel did not understand that certain services would be unavailable for our stay. 'Aquaralis relax' is the pool. As a Canadian the 20degrees in the sunshine is quite lovely (feels 28-30 degrees in the sun) and it would have been nice to be in a heated pool that had beverage service.
Diego was a great bartender and accommodated different taste preferences with ease.
The breakfast was beautiful. The staff was attentive and the food spread exceeded expectations.

Amazing place. We stop there for a coffee and some drinks as it started raining. Staff was super polite and inviting. It is did not seem ‘commercial’.

We were there a couple of weeks ago and everything was just amazing. Location is amazing, between cozy Cetara and beautiful Vietri sul Mare, good restaurants in both. Hotel is super cute with great views. Look for Diego at the bar for a good chat while you have a night drink - he was the nicest in our whole trip.

What an incredible find on the Amalfi Coast. This hotel offers all the charm of the Amalfi Coast, but is secluded from the crowded tourist areas. Cetara is an authentic Italian fishing village with a different restaurant everywhere you look. The hotel was clean and modern, built into the side of a mountain overlooking the sea, with the best views you could imagine. Highly recommended.

I have mixed reviews here.

Pros: 1. Their restaurant has nearly Michelon star quality food and it really made the stay, 2.They have many ammenities, 3. Thet were very helpful when my husband got bad food poisioning (from and outside restaurant to be clear) getting treated at the hospital and gave me a ride to help him. Thanks Mateo!, and 4. My massage therapist was really good and listening and was very helpful!

Cons:

1. We went in the shoulder season and the ammenities were only partially available.They say that the beach is closed to service but we can go down and use chairs and towels. We go down there and there are no towels and we had to set up the lounge chairs ourself. Then a worker comes down to start jack hammering. When I asked about it they said there was no mention of construction when booking and said the beach is closed. Rather odd. Also, all the lounge areas were shut down upstairs.

2. Also they have a steam room and jacuzzi but the jacuzzi was luke warm or cold and they didn't turn on the steam room the second day so a few of us had to wait for them to warm it up, which matters when they said it would be open at 3pm (12 normally) and then nothing was turned on. Thanks for being responsive but the ammenities should be turned on when they are open.

3. The room was really gorgeous and had a great view but there was trash outside on the balcony and it looked like it wasn't serviced fully. Inside the room there were several bugs (ants, jumping bug that looked like a flea, and mosquitos - because there is no screen).

The beds were really not comfortable. This is a huge downside. They really need to upgrade them. There was a dip in the middle and they seemed old and overused. I couldn't sleep on them. I had to add a pillow layer underneath to sleep. Also, there are no robes in the room but the staff were good with providing towels when asked.

The staff were friendly but lacked the care of a 4 star resort. It was more a 3 star resort with extra ammenities.

Final: I don't think I would stay again because I couldn't sleep in the bed. I liked a lot of the resort's ammenities but they aren't usable really in the shoulder season and the rooms were still expensive. I loved the fact that it was removed from all the traffic and craziness with a gorgeous view! Restaurant staff and food are highly recommended! Also, thanks again for being so nice when my husband was sick. They really cared.

It's an extraordinary Hotel, with a beautiful panorama and incredible food, everyone should experience it at least once in their lives.

Divine views, private beautiful beach, amazing, kind, and professional staff, the rooms are clean and spacious. Mine had a balcony with a jaw dropping view of the ocean. The bar and restaurant are pretty good as well. I don't want to leave! I will definitely come back soon. Hotel Cetus is private and quiet, a great stop before heading to the more popular and touristy Positano/Capri etc. I saw several couples and families staying there. One of the guests told me the beach is quite lively during the weekends, with lots of people and a DJ to help set the mood. 100% recommended!

Very nice hotel. We had big room with balcony looking to the beach. VERY CLEAN AND WELL MAINTANED HOTEL. FRONT DESK PEOPLE VERY HALPFULL.FOOD FOR BREAKFAST IS FRESH . RESTAURANT IS VERY GOOD BUT PRICEE. WI FI IS AUFULL. ADMINISTRETION SHOULD FIX THAT BECAUSE IT IS JUST ONE NEGATIVE SERVICE THERE.Many thanks to front desk employees specially ROZA and ANOTHER LADY WHO'S NAME I DON'T REMEMBER. WILL RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

Staff are great and so friendly. The restaurant has amazing seafood dishes and the bar upstairs is a great place to grab some drinks and appetizers.
