I stayed at MICHAELSON Boutique Hotel for three nights and really enjoyed it overall. The room was cozy and well-designed, and I loved that the windows could be opened for fresh air – a big plus for me. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I slept great every night.
The spa was also a highlight – warm water, beautiful stone elements, and a relaxing atmosphere. However, the price is a bit steep: €30 for guests and €60 for non-guests.
The only downside was breakfast. I chose the €20 meal set and was disappointed – portions were tiny (especially the fruit salad), and while the eggs were good, the bun was so small that it threw off the balance of the meal.

The Michaelson Boutique Hotel might look good on the outside, but it’s all form over function. The receptionist was kind but pushy, trying to upsell everything—from overpriced parking to a €30 per person fee to use the spa at a spa hotel. That’s like booking a flight and being charged extra to bring your suitcase.
There’s no air conditioning, which is ridiculous in the summer heat, and no fan offered either. The minibar is too small to hold a single bottle. But the worst offender? A shower without a door. Every time we showered, the entire bathroom turned into a shallow swimming pool, soaking everything on the floor.
It’s clear the hotel was designed to be Instagrammable, not livable. A frustrating, overpriced gimmick in Klaipėda—skip it unless you enjoy paying for disappointment.

This was by far the best hotel we've stayed at so far. The staff were very welcoming. The room was cosy but classy. The bathroom was quite large and the shower was a really roomy walk-in/wet room style which was great. We visited the spa which is simple, but has everything you could want as well as complimentary refreshments (tea etc). Breakfast is pre-ordered with a waited table service (not a banquet style), but we actually prefered this as our breakfasts were individually prepared for us which I feel is much nicer than standing around an industrial toaster with a bunch of sleepy Germans. One thing that made the hotel stand out for us was the lack of children. It was really nice not to have other people's kids running around everywhere when you are trying to relax, I really wish there were more spas like this. The hotel is also well situated for the old town, Klaipeda Castle, and for the passenger ferry for the Curonian Spit, but not so close that there is any loud sound; It was a very quiet location.

I had a wonderful stay at the Michaelson Boutique Hotel in Klaipėda. The location is absolutely perfect — right on the riverfront, offering beautiful views that make mornings and evenings especially relaxing. It’s within easy walking distance to the Old Town, yet tucked away just enough to feel peaceful and exclusive. The building itself is charming, blending historic character with modern comfort. The rooms are tastefully designed, very clean, and well-equipped, with large windows overlooking the water — a lovely bonus! The staff were warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay.
If you’re visiting Klaipėda and want a unique, stylish, and quiet place to stay with a great location and river view, I highly recommend Michaelson Boutique Hotel.

We stayed here for two nights and had a very pleasant stay. Excellent service, excellent breakfast, very good beds and spacious bathrooms. The staff really do what they can to make your stay comfortable and convenient. We got breakfast in the room, even if we forgot to fill out the wishes the day before and we were too late for breakfast in the restaurant. If I should put my finger on one thing it was the temperature in the rooms, but we probably visited in the hottest period of the summer and the rooms had fans so we slept okay. I recommend this hotel and will definitely come back😊

beautiful hotel. Some rooms however have limited head space. Our bed was under the eaves which made getting in and out of bed difficult.
Breakfast is very good, food is lovely. You need to pre order your breakfast each day for the following morning.

We had an amazing visit at the Michaelson Hotel. The rooms were homey, the breakfast was appetizing, and the spa was one of the coziest we'd been. The hotel, from the design, which reminds me of a boat, to the pleasant hospitality, is a perfect place to stay. And also, during our stay in the hotel, you could find an exhibition by Lithuanian glass artist Remigijus Kriukas. It's wonderful how the hospitality business can become a gallery of local artists. Thank you!

They sell single rooms as doubles. Then they put two sets of towels and two robes, and two pillows (real bad ones).
So what you get is: 1 set of toiletries, a bed of 1.4m width, a single blanket of width of also 1.4 m (you have to ask for another once you notice that, then wait 15 minutes in the night because they have difficulties finding another one), one side table next to the bed and side lamp, basically no normal possibility to enter the bed for a second person - you have to crawl on the bed, the blue light on the side of the bed of some kind of device that you cannot turn off. Some power outlets are in rather inaccessible places.
Breakfast is 20€ pp and it’s worth it.
Honestly the hotel experience ruined the stay in Klaipeda.
