Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the “Premier” Label

I booked a Premier Queen Room for 4D3N at Malibest Resort expecting at least a comfortable stay despite it being a 2-star hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying.

• Lack of basic amenities: No hair dryer, no slippers, no bathrobes, no hair conditioner, and shockingly, no toothbrush or toothpaste. If you’re a tourist, you’ll have to buy your own essentials outside.
• Limited and poor-quality supplies: Only a small amount of drinking water and one floor mat for the whole stay—which was never changed!
• Unfriendly receptionist: The staff at the front desk were cold, unapproachable, and unhelpful. No effort to make guests feel welcome.
• Room issues:
• Room telephone didn’t work—no dial tone, no way to contact the lobby.
• Air conditioning was very weak; even at 16°C, the room didn’t cool properly.
• Only one key card is provided. When you leave the room with it, all power shuts off, including the aircon.
• Strict check-in policy: No early check-in allowed. You must wait until 3 PM.
• No in-room ironing: You have to share a common flat iron with other guests.
• Poor breakfast service: Limited food choices, same items every day—boring and repetitive.

This was marketed as a “Premier” room but delivered none of the comfort or convenience you’d expect, even from a basic hotel. Definitely would not recommend it to anyone looking for a decent stay in Langkawi.

Location is awesome and cottages are right next to the beach. But other services are pathetic. Lizards found in the room, washbasin got choked, dirty bedsheets. Also, one basic necessity is water which they provide only 1 litre per room irrespective of the room capacity.

Location is very good. Very convenient to get food and shop for souvenirs.
Actually it is a good affordable hotel but I will give only 2 stars since the booking misled customers stating paying extra for rooms facing the sea, but in reality the rooms are blocked by the tree and chalets.
