So far everything is good except the for there is no hot water in the shower, the soundproofing isn’t that good, can hear the stepping sound from the upfloor

I recently stayed at Adya Hotel and had a mixed experience.
The check-in process required a RM100 deposit, payable only in cash, which may be inconvenient for those expecting to use a credit card. That said, I appreciated that the receptionist allowed me to proceed with check-in and pay the deposit later. However, the front desk staff lacked warmth and seemed more focused on completing the process quickly and getting guests away from the counter rather than offering a welcoming experience.
The room itself was spacious and comfortable, equipped with useful amenities such as a refrigerator, iron, and ironing board. However, only one bottle of refilled filtered water was provided, which felt insufficient. There were also just two cups available for tea or coffee, which may be limiting for guests staying more than one night.
While the housekeeping staff were friendly, their attention to detail was lacking. During service, the bed was made and towels were replaced, but the cups were left untouched and not cleaned or replaced, which was disappointing.
The swimming pool was another downside. The water was noticeably unclean, it appeared murky, and no towels were provided despite signage stating otherwise. This reflects a lack of proper maintenance and attention to guest experience. It did not feel hygienic or inviting. These issues reflect a broader concern about the hotel's cleanliness and general upkeep.
About breakfast, over three days, the breakfast menu lacked variety and showed little effort. Most items were repeated daily: baked beans, baked potatoes, beef patties, samosa, nasi lemak, and either fried noodles or vermicelli. The chicken was cut into tiny pieces and not replenished after 9.00 AM, only bony scraps were left for late guests. Despite these issues, I must commend the waiter, who worked efficiently to keep tables and used plates clean at all times. The egg station was also well-run, with prompt and accurate service. Still, overall breakfast quality was 2.5/5 at best.
Adya Hotel has the foundation to be a good Muslim-friendly hotel, but it seriously lacks attention to detail, maintenance, and guest hospitality. The pool’s condition, the breakfast shortcomings, the lack of warmth at the front desk, and the just-enough housekeeping show complacency.
Langkawi’s tourism image is already facing challenges. If hotels like Adya don’t step up, guests will stop returning and the business risks fading out entirely. This stay was enough for me. I won’t be coming back unless real improvements are made.
Please improve, especially in the name of being a Muslim-friendly hotel. Be more welcoming. Look after the details. Make guests want to return.

There was long hair in the bathroom which, in general, wasn‘t clean at all. Surprisingly, they also took the small towels without replacing them. Plus, the water is quite cold and runs very slowly on the upper floors. The shower gel and drinking water was provided only occasionally.
I had an issue with my neighbor who was watching TV very loudly after midnight. While this isn’t the hotel’s fault, I was calling the receptionist hoping he would handle this situation. Being told that he would take care, nothing happened so I had to get up to get dressed and knock on my neighbor’s door, well after half an hour of calling the receptionist.
The pool is only 1.2 m deep, the breakfast ok, the AC and Spa very good. Do not use their shuttle service! The one to the airport costs 100RM while a grab cost me 16RM. The one-way shuttle service to the cable car is 150RM while a grab cost me 35RM.

The ambience, location, services and facilities all good ill say almost 5⭐️. However the room cleanliness is not meet the expectations. The room have visible dusty lamp, broken bulb. And the water bottle is mouldy (they use refillable bottle). The kettle also rusty inside and im not dare to use it.

stay at Adya Hotel for our last day at langkawi, finally moving out from langkawi for good. Adya Hotel is always our choice!

Adya Hotel Kuah Langkawi is conveniently located in the heart of Kuah Town, within walking distance of various eateries, duty-free shops selling chocolates and kitchenware, and Langkawi Parade shopping mall for more retail options.
The hotel has an Islamic-inspired design, which gives it a unique character. However, the lobby felt warm as the air conditioning didn’t seem to be functioning well. Upon check-in, I noticed the welcome drinks were available, but clean glasses often ran out. The front desk staff were okay—not particularly warm, but efficient. A RM100 deposit was required during check-in, and since I didn’t have MYR, I used SGD50, which was accepted and later refunded in the same currency.
The biggest drawback was the air conditioning on Level 4, where my room was located—it wasn’t working, making the hallway stuffy, especially with the lingering smell of fresh paint. The room itself was spacious and generally fine, though one of the lights couldn’t be turned off, which was a minor issue. The provided toiletries were basic, so bringing your own would be a good idea. Additionally, the door latch was faulty, preventing us from double-locking the door.
On the plus side, the hotel has a large parking area, which is convenient for those driving. Overall, it’s a decent choice for a short stay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in maintenance and guest experience.

This place is so run down that it’s equivalent to a cheap dodgy hostel or backpackers. Definitely needs a commercial clean up and full on renovation. The carpets have a mouldy stench. The staff and management we superb and very accommodating to our complaints and this is the only reason why we stayed there instead of leaving on day 1 of our 3 day stay. They attempted to do everything they could within their power or control to keep us satisfied.

Old hotel. Stayed in king bed room but the bed like queen bed. Very uncomfortable to sleep with daughters by your side. Iron also got problem. Nothing to impress about this hotel.
