From the moment we arrived, the beautiful speedboat transfer set the tone for our 12 night stay.

The Deluxe rooms are nestled in charming 4-unit bungalows. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, providing stunning views of the ocean. Falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves was a highlight of our stay.

The resort has a gorgeous, flat, sandy beach that is perfect for relaxing or a stroll to the nearby town for dinner.

For those interested in diving, the on-site dive school is a fantastic addition. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, making it easy to enjoy the underwater wonders.

One of the most enjoyable experiences was during the happy hour, where we were treated to live music by Dori and Toni. Their performances added a delightful atmosphere to the evening, making it a perfect way to unwind with a drink in hand while watching the sunset.

Overall, Pimalai Resort is a slice of paradise that I highly recommend. The combination of beautiful accommodations and stunning views, make it a perfect getaway for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Thailand.

Over decades of traveling, experiencing all luxury hotel brands, I cannot think of another hotel/resort where all expectations were met or exceeded and there is absolutely nothing I feel can be improved. In the hundreds of reviews I’ve written, I don’t think I’ve ever come across another property where I had nothing constructive to say or there wasn’t something that could be better.

We booked through the new Hyatt affiliation. We were upgraded to a fabulous villa.

Service was consistently exceptional, everywhere throughout the resort. Every interaction.

Excellent variety of restaurants and the food was always delicious and memorable. They also did a great job accommodating allergy needs.

The resort itself is built along a steep, gorgeous ocean hillside, and even at full capacity, it never feels crowded. They have golf cart buggy service on demand and we never waited more than a couple minutes to be picked up and delivered anywhere throughout the resort.

The pools, the spa, the beach, we experienced it all, and nothing ever disappointed. Every single corner of this property is spectacular.

There is a good mix of guests here. There was one group of expat women on a girls trip, some honeymooners/couples, retirees, and families. Everyone blended well.

I think we paid somewhere around $375 per night, which is an absolute bargain beyond belief for everything this luxurious property delivered.

FYI, we stayed only 2 nights because we were visiting many other places around Southeast Asia. We enjoyed an entire day just relaxing here at the beach and the pools. There are some excursions, but nothing crazy noteworthy except Phi Phi which is an easy day excursion if you’ve never been. We did not take the trip because we went there separately, but if you’re in the area and you’ve never been there, you should go. Otherwise, enjoy your time at this incredible resort and just relax without the need to leave and explore. We met some people who stayed an entire week here and I’m not sure I could recommend this length. I would go crazy and be very bored but it’s the perfect place to recharge for a few nights and then continue to travel around so many other great options in Thailand and Southeast Asia. Ko Lanta does have a small town and if you’ve never seen a night market in Thailand, obviously you should go, but otherwise, it’s just like all the others you will see throughout the country.

Last…. The spa, it is beautiful, and I had a treatment which I do highly recommend. But for the other days, we walked 5 minutes to a place accessible on the beach, practically next door, and it was 1/20 of the price. The therapeutic nature of the massage was quite similar, but it’s a no-frills atmosphere right on the beach.

Just ended a week's stay at the delightful Pimalai Resort. Very hard to find fault with this hotel. The location is excellent, set on the hillside adjacent to the beautiful Kantiang bay. The views over the bay towards the Andaman Sea are superb. Due to cloud cover during our stay, we didn't get to experience any sunsets, but it's easy to imagine hire stunning they must be.
Our hillside pool villa was superb - spacious, private, very comfortable and with special spectacular views from the private terrace and balconies.
The restaurants are great ( if somewhat expensive, compared to the available offers at local village and beach restaurants).
The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful at all times, maintaining an extremely high standard of service.
A wonderful stay at a fabulous hotel.

We stayed in a room facing the sea with no blocking objects. It was stunning every morning when we open the curtains. The resort is well maintained and you could see pest control in place. The room is spacious and close to the beach side. We really liked the special cocktails from Pimalai naming liquid mango sticky rice and coco Thai tea. Mango sticky rice was very on point too. The staff are very friendly and always asking if they could help with anything. Great stay and recommend to stay for at least 3 nights to enjoy the beach and activities.

The grounds are beautiful and stunning but I would rate this as a 3.75, not a 5 star.

The food was overpriced and not what I would expect from a 5 star. It was often just above average.

Our happy hour drinks were pretty watered down.

The spa gave me one of the worst manicures (I think it’s more the spa’s facilities and equipment or lack thereof versus technician). When I complained, the hotel pushed back saying I didn’t report it before checking out when in reality the service was done on the day before I left.

Our room was the saving grace. It was very lovely.

All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again. I’d take my 5 star dollars elsewhere.

The rooms are luxury and neat. The view is AMAZING! I recommend this resort. It has a great view of yummy breakfast. The pool was great and big. The beach lets you canoe, body board, paddle board, and you can see little hermit crabs running around. It has amazing facilities like gyms, pool sports facilities and everything you can think of. The spa was fabulous and relaxing. The workers were extremely respectful and hard-working to help with stuff you needed like a buggy or some items. The Same Same But Different restaurant had delicious food. My experience at pimilai was out of this world, extravagant, just too good. The vibes there were great, and I couldn't ask for more. The location was fabulous and only took a few minutes to walk to 7 eleven.

Excellent at catering to gluten free guests. We were surprised by the quality and variety of gluten free food.

We went with a hill side villa with a private pool and it was magnificent. The sunsets were to die for and the floating afternoon tea hit the spot perfectly.

The app lets you book buggies, reservations and experiences seamlessly.
Staff are friendly, and will go out of their way for you.

One of the best experiences we’ve had.

The Pimalai is a wonderful hotel. Beautiful location away from the nearby town embedded in the nature. The restaurants were really good and the service in the beach restaurant was wonderful.
The downside is that to move around the hotel facilities you need to order a golf buggy to bring you from the top-hill side to the beach part depending where you want to go. We asked reception to rent us a motorcycle or call a taxi for us to reach the town but they told us that was not possible and so we had to pay the hotel for a taxi to reach the town where then we booked a taxi for the sightseeing trip we wanted to do. That was not a great service.

Impeccable service! A big shout out to the staff who went above and beyond in providing us a great stay—from the airport pickup to our last day. The breakfast view at the Spice n Rice restaurant was our favourite part and could easily spend more than an hour to take it all in. I love how the staff could anticipate one’s needs even before asking for it. Overall, really really great stay! Looking forward to coming back again, and will definitely recommend to family and friends who would like to enjoy a quiet, peaceful and comfortable holiday. ✨🌟

The resort is very pretty, nestled on a hill side, between plenty of greenery. The views from the pools are breathtaking, overlooking the sea. The breakfast was I found rather small ( for example the bread selection) but everything that was offered, was fresh and good quality. The beach is vast and quiet, but there are lots of jellyfish unfortunately, which make it unsafe to actually go for a swim (according to staff as well). Even walking around the beach, closer to the water, takes a lot of care not to step on a jellyfish. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. We were travelling with our 8 month old and her buggy and would wish that the hotel would add some ramps to some of the main stairs, like to all the restaurants and to some of the rooms maybe? As the hotel is on a hillside, there were lots of stairs! We like walking, unfortunately that made it really hard to move around freely with our buggy. You can reach the next village either through a short walk over the beach or a 10 minute walk along the road. We really enjoyed our stay there and would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel with the great service.
