Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel did not meet our expectations at all.
The breakfast was disappointing, with the food lacking flavor and quality.
The room was not cleaned and felt very uncomfortable, which was quite unpleasant. Additionally, there was no sound privacy, as we could hear everything from neighboring rooms and the hallway.
The most concerning issue was the bathroom water, which had a strong, unpleasant smell, similar to rotten eggs.
While the staff were polite, these issues significantly impacted our experience.
Honestly there are better hotels you can choose on the island

be careful with this hotel. you book a room and pay upon arrival. Afterwards you are taken to your room and given a completely different room. When you go back to reception afterwards, they say that you are out of luck and that you should be happy with a room. personal is unfriendly. and waves you away without looking at you. we booked a Deluxe room and we got a wooden hut. you hear every sound from the neighbors. even normal talking.

Not exactly the best stay I’ve had but not the worst. The rooms are rather dated and unlike the photos advertised, I’m guessing it was taken more than 10 years ago. We had a deluxe room which you have to climb up a relatively steep hill to get to and then climb a set of stairs to get to your room— as a young and fit couple, that was fine but I can only imagine how horrible it would be for most or older customers to have to climb up after a long day of travelling around. Location of the hotel was also quite hard to find, especially if you’re carrying your own bags from the pier to the hotel, it can be quite a feat. The bed also made a lot of creaking noises, even the slightest movement of the bed would send it creaking. We didn’t use the pool as it didn’t look very clean during our stay. We also had breakfast one of the mornings but skipped the next because it just wasn’t great. I can understand that Phi phi has no luxury hotel (though hopefully someone will look into building one) but there should at least be at least some upkeep and maintenance to the place..

My stay at U Rip Resort was nothing short of terrifying. While I was in the shower, two men attempted to break into my locked room. These men had been watching me and my friends at the pool earlier, recording us without our consent. They left the pool at the same time like us and watched us get into ours room. Then, when I was alone in the shower, they tried to force their way into my room, later claiming that they were "looking for their friend" and had mistakenly entered my room. However, they attempted the same with my friend’s room as well who they watched get into the room.
The most frightening part is that they actually managed to break my door open. Thankfully, the secondary lock I had engaged prevented them from fully entering, but the experience left me shaken. When I reported the incident to the hotel management, they reviewed the security footage, saw what had happened and still did nothing to address the situation. The men were not kicked out or reprimanded in any way, leaving me feeling incredibly unsafe. Their solution was to move me just two rooms down, still in close proximity to the men who had attempted to break in.
This lack of action by the hotel is inexcusable. I expected the resort to prioritize the safety and well-being of its guests, but instead, they failed to take appropriate measures to ensure that I felt secure. I would strongly advise anyone considering this resort to think twice. Safety should never be compromised, and unfortunately, U Rip Resort did not seem to share this priority.

We stayed in the hotel with other girl friends. During our stay a group of men that were also staying at the hotel tried to get into two of our rooms by force after taking pictures of us by the pool and follow us. The full incident was violent and scary. The hotel check the CCTV and even when clear they were not saying in those rooms did nothing to fix the situation, decide not to ask them out of the property and we had to ask them to change our rooms even when one lock was broken. The lack of empathy from the management was unacceptable.. do not stay here if you are travelling alone or with a group of girls.

The resort is one the quiet part of the island so it's quiet, there is a nice swimming pool and a beach in front of the hotel.
Little points to consider : the water in the rooms was a bit salty (I guess they recycle water from the sea).
Also, the breakfast is really cheap (i mean , I would love to have something else that an instant coffee for breakfast)

The hotel had really clean rooms with all the facilities you would need. Had a lovely little terrace which was good for drying swimwear and towels from a day at the beach. Brilliant, relaxing pools and directly on the beach front. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. It was a bit odd to have a window to the main corridor from the room. Luckily there was a curtain which we kept closed at all times. The room could have done with more natural light but it didn't cause us any problems. Only rated this 4 stars because the breakfast had very limited choices and sometimes you had to wait a long time for them to replenish things.
