My stay at U Rip Resort was nothing short of terrifying. While I was in the shower, two men attempted to break into my locked room. These men had been watching me and my friends at the pool earlier, recording us without our consent. They left the pool at the same time like us and watched us get into ours room. Then, when I was alone in the shower, they tried to force their way into my room, later claiming that they were "looking for their friend" and had mistakenly entered my room. However, they attempted the same with my friend’s room as well who they watched get into the room.
The most frightening part is that they actually managed to break my door open. Thankfully, the secondary lock I had engaged prevented them from fully entering, but the experience left me shaken. When I reported the incident to the hotel management, they reviewed the security footage, saw what had happened and still did nothing to address the situation. The men were not kicked out or reprimanded in any way, leaving me feeling incredibly unsafe. Their solution was to move me just two rooms down, still in close proximity to the men who had attempted to break in.
This lack of action by the hotel is inexcusable. I expected the resort to prioritize the safety and well-being of its guests, but instead, they failed to take appropriate measures to ensure that I felt secure. I would strongly advise anyone considering this resort to think twice. Safety should never be compromised, and unfortunately, U Rip Resort did not seem to share this priority.

We stayed in the hotel with other girl friends. During our stay a group of men that were also staying at the hotel tried to get into two of our rooms by force after taking pictures of us by the pool and follow us. The full incident was violent and scary. The hotel check the CCTV and even when clear they were not saying in those rooms did nothing to fix the situation, decide not to ask them out of the property and we had to ask them to change our rooms even when one lock was broken. The lack of empathy from the management was unacceptable.. do not stay here if you are travelling alone or with a group of girls.

We stayed at this resort on Phi Phi Island as part of a package booked by our travel agent, so we didn't have much say in the room selection. Overall, our experience was a mix of positives and a few disappointments.

Breakfast was okay – pretty standard compared to other hotels I've stayed at on Phi Phi Island. Nothing particularly stood out, but it wasn't bad either.
However, our lunch experience was a bit of a letdown. There was a lady at the buffet serving fried chicken, and when I politely asked for a third piece with a smile, she rolled her eyes at me and looked away while serving it. I was quite taken aback by her attitude. It's not the kind of service you expect.
While the resort was clean and the room was comfortable, the dining service could definitely use some improvement. The indifferent attitude of the staff at the buffet left a sour taste, which is unfortunate because everything else was decent.

The resort is one the quiet part of the island so it's quiet, there is a nice swimming pool and a beach in front of the hotel.
Little points to consider : the water in the rooms was a bit salty (I guess they recycle water from the sea).
Also, the breakfast is really cheap (i mean , I would love to have something else that an instant coffee for breakfast)

The hotel had really clean rooms with all the facilities you would need. Had a lovely little terrace which was good for drying swimwear and towels from a day at the beach. Brilliant, relaxing pools and directly on the beach front. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. It was a bit odd to have a window to the main corridor from the room. Luckily there was a curtain which we kept closed at all times. The room could have done with more natural light but it didn't cause us any problems. Only rated this 4 stars because the breakfast had very limited choices and sometimes you had to wait a long time for them to replenish things.

Everything it perfect except the behaviour of receptionists who wear braces. She was so rude 😒. When I wanted the supplementary water 4 times, she told me, " I was lying. I had already drank it and wanted it again. My country's people are liyer " that was so disappointing 😞

The worst service! We had to switch 3 rooms because they were dirty and not soundproof. We stayed for 2 nights and the staff didn’t clean the room. They just left the towels outside the room. And we weren’t in the room all day..
Breakfast is garbage. All we had was cereal and even the cereal was dry and the milk was warm🤮.
Our room was full of mosquitoes which made it impossible to sleep comfortably.
After a night without sleep due to the mosquito bites, we asked for a late check out. The staff was so rude, unprofessional and insensitive. They lied to us in the face that there was no available rooms and that they were full, although we definitely saw many empty rooms. Showers and faucets are full of rust. And don’t even think about using the water even to brush your teeth!! Salty disgusting water.
I would not recommend at all. Although the beach is nice but you have that pretty much in all of phi phi.

The ambience of the hotel was calm and nice... The beach is just in front of the resort and the tonsai pier is 10 min walking distance. Their staff receives the guest from Tonsai pier. The room was neat and clean. They have a nice and large pool area. We enjoyed our stay very much 👌👌.
