Reviews
My husband and I walked in with our children eager to sign up for annual day membership at 33,000 THB, we are entrepreneurs that work from home but wanted a secondary option to work from in the week, what we encountered was disappointing. I was excited to view it as had been following on social media etc.
As we approached the reception, we were told the manager would show us around. Imagine our surprise when the manager did not even greet us with a hello, and then straight on his phone scrolling in the lift! 🤨i tried to ask questions but he didn't seem like he wanted to be friendly so gave up.
In Phuket, we’ve only experienced friendly service, so this felt out of sorts.
During the tour, I tried to ask some basic questions about what the membership included, particularly about our kids and movie nights. The answers we received were vague at best—one staff member even suggested our child would need to pay the full annual fee! 😱 When I sought clarification from the manager, I felt like I was a nuisance simply for asking legitimate questions. It was disheartening to sense that I was interrupting their day.
After waiting for a long while for an answer on whether our kids could watch a movie under our annual membership, I decided to cut my losses and leave, i just didn't feel treated right, feeling genuinely sad about the lack of engagement and service. We were ready to commit prior to the tour, but that experience has led me to explore other options instead. If it was a normal member of staff i wouldn't be so phased, but the fact this was the manager, shocking really. I'm not one to complain.
As a business owner myself- If this is what potential members can expect, I strongly urge a reconsideration of staff management training, especially regarding hospitality. It’s vital that future members don’t feel like a burden before they even sign up. I wonder how much business they are losing due to unfriendliness?!
I hope this message is taken seriously so that others don't have to endure a similar experience.
Disappointment.
P.S. A little welcoming attitude goes a long way! 😊
Would definitely love to come back and Would recommend to families.
Accommodations: The room was underwhelming for a long-term stay. It lacked adequate clothing storage and we had to purchase additional hangers. Additionally, the couch appeared worn out, and the towel for washing dishes was never replaced, adding to our discomfort. The cutlery provision was minimal, with only one of each type per guest, which was inconvenient for daily needs. The aircon is quite loud which is annoying during nights. Keep in mind that distance to the next beach is at least 30 minutes by scooter. If traffic is more busy than it will take longer.
Amenities: The fitness center was partly unavailable due to ongoing construction, a significant drawback as it was one of the reasons for my choice. The co-working space also fell short with insufficient meeting rooms to accommodate all the guests.
Service: Long-term guests seem to be treated as second-class, with essentials like extra toilet paper not provided. Not meaning that the employees are rude, they are still friendly and nice. However, the value you get as a long-term customer is lower than the value of short-term guests.
Management Policies: There's a discrepancy in enforcement of rules. Cannabis smoking at the pool was evident and unaddressed despite being prohibited according to the hotel's rules. Moreover, the inability to switch between the two Homa properties in Phuket was misleading and restrictive.
Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations for a long-term accommodation, primarily due to the overall feeling of being a second class customer.
Staff is really friendly and helpful at all times.
The rooftop pool is actually really nice and if you are lucky you can witness some really nice sunsets there.
The location is perfect - we had so many things in the proximity: scooter rental, 7/11, night markets, old town etc.
The beds and pillows were really comfortable so we were able to actually rest.
Everything looks exactly like in the picture.
One thing though - They could manage to get better rates for the island trips, definitely.
Also, if you are looking to rent a scooter, we recommend the place right next to the hotel. The lovely lady will get you the best rates, both for the scooters, as well as for the island trips.
Enjoy Phuket! :)
For a start, it has superb facilities - including a stunning rooftop swimming pool (with bar area), well-equipped gym, excellent restaurant, and several events on offer (including live Premier League football matches, by the way, for anyone else with an interest).
The apartments themselves are terrific - extremely clean, spacious, and well thought-through in design for ultimate comfort and convenience.
The location is also good, with plenty of local restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. It is very close as well to the excellent Central Festival Shopping Centre that has everything you might miss from home that you cannot find elsewhere (it is also very reasonably priced).
Finally, and the most important part in my view, is that the staff are great - extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. Everyone from the housekeeping ladies, to the service people, and especially to the front of house staff who are managed by the marvellous Alice, who epitomises the very best of the aforementioned qualities, and who would be a star in any luxury hotel in the world.
