Stopped here several times and we love it. Excellent staff, right on the beautiful beach and good rooms. Proper chill vibe at the hotel. A little spot in paradise. See you again in around 3 months

Lovely location with beach access. We stayed in a Cottage room, which had a large king-size bed and a single bed. The mattress was firm. Although the room was more than adequate for our stay, it is not luxurious. No room service is provided, but rooms are cleaned daily.
Breakfast was included and offered thai food and western based breakfast items ( although it was luke warm at best)
The dinner menu was very thai, fish based, but they did have pizzas or burger and bbq items. I ate mainly thai.
Staff are very friendly and welcoming, although a couple of times we ordered food or drink for it to never appear.
Beach .. sea was lovely and clear , and sand was soft and clean. You can walk over to the neighbouring bay for more restaurant options.
The usual downer is the people that insist on reserving sunbeds and barely using them... frustrating when they are unused for 4 or more hours.

Great resort. Lots of different seating options on the beach or in the restaurant, or at the pool. On a fairly quiet beach, but not too quiet- still interesting. The Cottage I stayed in was beautiful. The best & biggest bathrooms I have seen on the island. I will definitely be visiting again!

If it wasn't for that female staff in the white shirt (in image), this resort restaurant would have gotten 0 or 1 star from me... many clients were upset due to the lack of attention.
To start... we were given a huge menu, yet it seemed that the staff was expecting us to order right away. Then he walked away and never returned. We took great effort into flagging down someone to order our food.
We got our first dish, yet we had no utensils nor plates to eat at all for a while till the dish was cold. (As seen in pic)
Lastly, we were missing an item that was ordered and took a long while to arrive.

Nice hotel with good rooms and friendly service.
Food is OK…. but: There is a shitty fire eater show with incredible loud techno music every (!!) evening, just right when people are eating - between 7 and 8pm.
These fire eater guys are going from hotel to hotel every evening (!!!) and doing their trashy and extremely noisy and fuel-polluting thing.
So, if you like the smell of gasoline and incredibly loud shitty techno music during your dinner, take a seat and enjoy!

Overall above the expectations. Nice spacious bungalow a few meters from the sea with big bed, every day cleaning and changing the towels. Beautiful quiet beach far from the noisy places on the island. Literally you wake up with the birds and sea sound
Drawback: The hotel and the staff do not care about the beach at all. It looks dirty and untended - the leaves and other stuff in the beach and the sea. Old dirty beach beds without bed pillows. Street dogs around.

Our Favorite Island Escape!
This was our fifth stay at Vangduen Hotel, and we already can’t wait to come back! It’s the kind of place that never disappoints. In fact, the only sad part is packing up to leave.
The location is perfect—tucked away on the quiet side of the island, offering so much peace and natural beauty. The clear, calm water and the soft white sand (honestly, it feels like flour!) make it the perfect spot to relax. Even though it’s peaceful, there’s still plenty to do. There’s a great selection of restaurants, a small shop for anything you might need, and a fun fire show in the evenings.
The hotel itself is spotless, well-equipped, and super comfortable. The staff are amazing—so friendly and always happy to help with anything you need. It’s those little things that make each stay so special.
We’d recommend this place 100%. In fact, we’ve already booked our next trip in two weeks! Vangduen Hotel really is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it.

Beautiful beach with clear sea, cafes and shops. Arrived at 12 o'clock, checked in right away, payment by card or cash. Our luggage was brought to our house on a cart. The bungalows are clean, cleaned well. Breakfasts are good, varied, fruits: watermelon, papaya, pineapple. Coffee from the coffee machine. The staff is polite and smiling.
Restaurant: the food is delicious, but the service is terrible. We decided to have dinner on his birthday, warned the employee ... as a result, at first they forgot about our order and we waited for salmon steaks for more than an hour. And then they also added a couple of dishes to the bill that we didn't take. Magicians
