Old Town Stone House

Good location, walking distance to the town. Staff were friendly and helpful. The host helped us arrange the hot air balloon experience, private taxi tour and airport transfer. The rooms were cosy and warm! We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast. Overall a pleasant stay.

My wife and I recently stayed at Old Town Stone House in Goreme, Cappadocia, Turkey and it was a wonderful visit in every way.

This is a family operation; Mehmet the owner is a gracious and accommodating host, while his family and employees worked hard keeping the rooms well-stocked and spotless, and every morning provided a lavish, varied breakfast of meats, fruits, vegetables, pastries, prepared dishes, and juices, coffee, and tea. Mehmet also booked our hot air balloon ride, one of the highlights of our visit to Turkey.

Old Town Stone House is perfectly located, a short easy walk from the main road of Goreme, and within a 15 minute walk of just about every restaurant in town. The view from the second and third story decks was world-class, and perfectly Instagramable, providing absolutely amazing views of the morning hot air balloons, some of which came within 30 or 40 feet of the ground.

We had a second-floor stone suite, which was rustically decorated, very comfortable, and fully supplied with modern amenities.

Our four-day stay at Old Town Stone House was a highlight of our two-week visit to Turkey. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very atmospheric and cosy, with authentic Middle Eastern decor and a beautiful terrace on the third floor.

The beds and blankets are very comfortable and not rough. The rooms are clean, the AC is not blowing in your face at night. The buffet breakfast is varied and delicious. The host is extremely welcoming, friendly and kind.

We are mid range budget travelers and are very happy to have found Old Town Stone House. With its traditional cave suites, perfect location close to restaurants, shops and cafes. Their breakfast spread served on the rooftop is impressive and delicious. We love the open seating deck area where you can watch the hot air balloons flying by - quite the view and photo opportunity! The owner and staff are amazing. We booked the hot air balloon ride through them and it was perfect. Thank you for amazing memories of Cappadocia ❤️

Our room was on the third floor which has a big terrace with wonderful views. The breakfast is very high quality and tenderly prepared, even better than some big hotels. 2 minutes walk to the center of Goreme town. Highly recommended.

Mehmet was an amazing host. He accommodated all of our needs and went above and beyond. I highly recommend this place. It's centrally located. It's well priced. I slept very well. It has great air conditioning and is so comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous. The people I met were amazing.

Located just a few minutes walk from the city center, Old Town Stone House is a great place to stay at in Göreme. The owner, Mehmet, is very kind and helpful and accommodating. He's at the breakfast terrace every morning to greet, assist and chat with guests. Breakfast selection is great with cereals and breads and cheeses and salads and a whole lot more. Omelette is freshly made on demand.
The room itself is clean and there's an outdoor viewing area on every floor. I watched the balloons every morning I stayed there.
The staff are also all very kind and hospitable and even after I've already checked out, Mehmet and his team are still helping me with other things that I need. They also gave me a very cute magnet/bottle opener souvenir!

This hotel was perfectly located to walk around the town… gorgeous pics we taken from the rooftop… just sad we didn’t get to go on the hot air balloon 🙃Mehmet was very accommodating and helpful…and the breakfast was good…. Nice variety 😋👌 would go back to catch the hot air balloon… 😊

The hotel is lovely and so as its staff! The host is super kind and helped us with all the tours we took. The location is great, just 3 minutes from the main street. The breakfast is amazing too. Everything was just perfect!! Thank you so much for everything !!

I stayed here one night and had an amazing experience. The owner and the staff exude great hospitality. The breakfast offered is a feast with between 30-40 items. Pastries, fruits, cheese, omelet, dried fruit, nuts and on and on. The bed was comfortable and the place was clean. I would definitely stay here again.
