Carus is in perfect location. It really doesn’t get any better. The rooftop views and breakfast and dinner are amazing and great spot for a sundowner. We stays in rooms right by the entrance and road and the street noise and mosque can be quite loud. But aside that was comfortable.

Overall, this hotel is a 4/5 for me. It’s cute, the terrace is nice, but you can tell it’s more on the boutique side where the terrace furniture isn’t the nicest. Rooms are small, but to be expected. No A/C, but I found it wasn’t needed in September evenings. There were times the shower would go cold due to plumbing. The WiFi was not good unless in the common areas. The rooms in this hotel are very clean and tidy and the beds are comfortable and relaxing. The hotel staff were very nice and welcoming and made me feel very welcome. Short stay here checked in at 2 AM. pay for 200 TL, the keeper is kind. the heater kind of work lil bit. The room is enough for 2 person. The view is amazing! We got room that face to the beautiful landscape. The accessories is great. I've got new bath towel, face/hair towel and also slipper. I've got the soap, shampoo but There is no tooth brush & tooth paste, make sure you bring your own.

The location, staff, and view from the rooftop are definitely worth the stay BUT unfortunately the rooms themselves are what caused me to deduct the 2 stars. Best receptionist I've maybe ever had. Mohammad went above and beyond for me. The hotel was nice and cozy. Since it was a cave hotel it did smell different but when I told receptionist he gave me a bottle of scent which made the room smell better. Cappadocia Cave Suites was a good choice. I stuck a pin in it from other cave hotels and came up trumps. The staff were uber helpful, the suite was fairytale stuff and the entire experience first class. Beyond expectations. The restaurant staff and breakfast has been the best so far.

The rooftop is an awesome place to watch the balloons in the morning (and on some mornings we had it to ourselves). It is also wonderfully located, being close to all the restaurants and bars and only about 15 minute walk to the balloon viewpoint

Absolutely loved it here! Location is perfect, near Goreme center. The room was big and clean. Breakfast was great and the staff are super nice and helpful. The people are very nice, friendly, but the room is quite old, the pillows are terrible and there is a lot of noise from other rooms. The breakfast is good, not very varied but enough. The parking is very ok.

I was based on the price-quality ratio when choosing a hotel and my expectations were justified 👍 The room is very spacious, made to match the city, a huge bed. The hotel has a view terrace. The reception guy is very friendly and he will introduce you traveling sights around here in fluent English even if you don’t buy travel tours from him and decide to travel by yourself. They can provide plug converters if you need one. The only thing they can improve will be the room cleaning (ceiling and walls, etc.).
