Montebello Resort Hotel - All Inclusive

Overall I would say this hotel is average at best for the price we paid. The good - The pools are beautiful. We paid for a swim up room and it was definitely worth the money. We did spend some time around the main pool and that was lovely too. Both immaculately clean and very well looked after. I wouldn’t have fancied battling for sun beds round the main pool every morning as by 9am they were all gone. The rooms and bathroom were clean but be careful to take note of the way they replace the towels. If you are wanting easy access to the beach, main ***** and bars and restaurants of Olu Deniz the hotel is a great location. Far enough away so you can come out of it if you choose, but close enough to easily walk down to it. The bad - the food is dreadful. We are not fussy eaters, and I know what to expect from an all inclusive but honestly it was really bad. We tried each meal there but after the first day didn’t bother. No variety, not very well cooked and all tastes the same. Even the salad bar wasn’t ever well stocked. We didn’t take our children but for anyone that did I think they’d have struggled even more. The WiFi doesn’t work at all. It’s basically none existent , which doesn’t normally bother me but as you need it for banking / moving money etc it was a bit of a problem. The drinks aren’t great either. We’re not massive drinkers so again wasn’t a huge issue for us but if we’d have been staying at the hotel more I wouldn’t have been impressed. Watered down cocktails, extra premium for decent spirits. The beer was good, efes on draught. Overall if you want a decent base in Olu Deniz it’s good. However, we spent loads more than we expected having to eat and drink out 3 times a day.

We’ve just returned from an 8-night stay at this hotel and wanted to share our honest experience, highlighting both the positives and areas for improvement. ⸻ ✅ Positives Check-In: Smooth and fairly quick. No issues on arrival. Beds & Comfort: The beds and pillows were very comfortable (though on the firmer side, which we liked). The air con in the room was strong and essential during Turkey’s recent heatwave — temperatures hit over 40°C! Cleanliness & Housekeeping: Cleaners were thorough and trustworthy. Rooms are cleaned every other day, with fresh linen and towel changes. Towels are only replaced if left on the floor, so bear this in mind. Food (Lunch & Dinner): Good variety and generally tasty. Staff cleared tables quickly and were attentive. The omelette station was a nice touch, although clarity on food labelling would help — especially the types of fish being served. Entertainment: The animation team were hardworking, fun, and full of energy. There’s plenty going on, although it’s not a relaxing vibe if that’s what you’re after. Evening entertainment was enjoyable. Kids’ disco was a hit with my daughter. Location: Beautiful scenery surrounded by mountains. Beaches, especially in Ölüdeniz, are absolutely stunning with turquoise waters — though the sea can be rough and pebbly, so bring water shoes. ⸻ ⚠️ Negatives / Areas for Improvement Room Setup: We booked a family room expecting two double beds (as shown in the photos), but instead had a double (two singles pushed together) and a pull-out chair bed for our 9-year-old, which wasn’t even as wide as a proper single. It lacked a headboard, so pillows kept falling off. The room felt cramped with very little storage, so we had to keep clothes in piles. Wi-Fi: Very poor. Didn’t work at all for the first few days. After asking reception, they did something to help, but it still wasn’t reliable. The mountainous location may affect this, but stronger hotel infrastructure is needed. Key Card Policy: Only one key card is issued per room. This was a real inconvenience — especially when trying to balance air con and entry access. Additional/replacement cards are charged at €20, which seems excessive. Additional Charges: • Safe: €30/week (non-refundable) • Tea/coffee in room, but no milk • Extra costs for cocktails, premium spirits, and even some activities like bingo These extras add up and make the all-inclusive package feel misleading. Breakfast: Disappointing for a 4-star. Cold beans daily, lack of meat options, and questionable freshness of eggs (pre-cracked in large bowls). Milk for cereal wasn’t chilled. Needs a major upgrade.may help to add a microwave to heat up your plates. Pool & Safety: Two pools available, one with slides — but no lifeguards or traffic light system on slides. Unfortunately, my daughter was injured when a man came down immediately behind her, pushing her underwater. This was distressing and dangerous. The top of the slide has a blind spot, making it hard
