Palm Hotel

Miserable place, even tho i didnt payed myself for the reservation, internet works slower than a slug, food is totally miserable at least my dinner was Something that a 5 yo could make and was rancid . The AC couldnt be stopped through the remote control, i had to stop IT manually otherwise i would freeze. The elevator looks like one from 1920s small barely can fit 2 people with one luggage, the reception isnt too fri ndly to help about your issue .Balcony View is Nice , the only good thing about this hote îs the positiion. Thats all , run from this one unless u want to pay 92 euro per night on nothing

Wi-Fi is hardly working only at reception. The room is smelly, doesn’t feel clean. The breakfast is disgusting, and very limited. There is no complimentary bottle of water in the room. A very unpleasant stay for me and I hope I will never have to come back.

The only thing standing for this hotel is location. It looks lovely from outside but once you pass reception it's like going back into 1920s . Rooms are small and ok but definitely not suitable for anyone with any disabilities or elderly. No life around bar or pool more life in a morgue. A little bit off music is not much to ask for . Swimming pool looks OK but the ladders are loose and dangerous. Staff ok but not much English and not very friendly. 1st hotel I've been to that had no kettle in room . Also hotel had a no outside food or drink allowed in . Breakfast well thank god there was fried eggs and tomatoes after that no much to try . Needs alot off work decorating and staff need to learn more English and learn how to deal with irish and English customers.

Going to be very honest about the hotel, and the general consensus of most guests we spoke to during our time at the hotel, the location is quiet good and close to many amenities, the staff are not very pleasant to be around or helpful, you can feel tense at the poolside or at breakfast being watched closely, food is very poor with minimal options and no proper chef, you are not permitted to do grocery shopping and bring it back to your room or the poolside, we were even asked to not bring our own water back to the hotel that we should buy it there which was baffling as their was very limited food and drink options,I don’t think they understand the British/Irish culture abroad and it really shows, the facilities advertised are mostly not available ie. No gym, sauna, steamroom, Turkish bath, jacuzzi, no Wi-Fi in the rooms and limited Wi-Fi in the reception, no dinner option, and definitely not disable friendly. The wooden elevator which you must open and close manually also makes the hotel feel very dated and musty. The pool is small but very clean and has limited sunloungers. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful doing a great job keeping the place clean aswell as the doorman who tried his best but we could see they struggled due to the lack of facilities. The rooms were very small and we found that our luggage took up most of the floor space although the air conditioning was good and balcony was nice and clean. Just don’t expect a free safe for your belongings you must pay 3€ a day.All in all I would avoid the hotel at all costs, this place is stuck in the past and needs to be updated in most areas fast or it will gain a terrible reputation, this review is completely honest and 100% our experience at the hotel, hotels elsewhere for even less are much nicer, I think the place has great potential but really need some new staff, new facilities and some restoration works in the rooms and hallways and it could be a nice hotel just not right now as of July 2023.
