Breezes Beach Club and Spa

I stayed here with some friends after we had completed a 10-day safari. What an amazing resort and spa. The Breezes is absolutely beautiful and the people who work there are so wonderful. We stayed for four (4) nights and we had an amazing experience. The gardens are spectacular, the beach is lovely as is the pool, the food was so, so good. I'd like to give a shout out to several of the employees: Nabir, for your wonderful service as we relaxed overlooking the beach...you have such a positive, upbeat attitude and it is contagious. Don't worry, be happy! Eunice and Sunday for your great company at the pool bar, you both were so nice and pleasant to talk to. Witness, who helped us with our bags...such a lovely young woman. Malik, from the restaurant, thank you for your patience and organization, and always providing service with such a big, beautiful smile. Dorah, our server for a couple of nights, she went above and beyond as we celebrated a wedding anniversary for two of our friends. Lucas, who helped my friend who is gluten-free, have such a wonderful dining experience. He was so great the way he took her around every meal to explain to her what was safe for her to eat. I also need to give a shout out to Dorothea, who was my masseuse for my Frangipani massage...it was 90 minutes wells spent and she did an excellent job. I can't forget Ash, who took us out snorkeling after we watched a beautiful sunrise. She was a lot of fun and we had a great time. I highly recommend Breezes for your stay in Zanzibar. I will definitely come back if I ever find myself back in Zanzibar.

Stayed at Breezes after our 7 day safari. It was bliss. Set in beautiful gardens, our suite was superb. Big comfy bed and the added bonus of an ocean view and everything always, spotlessly clean. The staff could not be more kind and welcoming and always greeted us with 'jambo jambo' and big smiles. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was lovely and lots to choose from. The beach reef was interesting and reef walks can be arranged. Beach shoes are essential as there are lots of sea urchins. It is only possible to swim at high tide. The pool is there so this is not a big deal. We only had 4 nights here and have vowed to return for longer. A big thank you to all the lovely staff for making our stay one to remember.

The resort was excellent and all the staff were very helpful, courteous and pleasant. As we are vegetarian we found the food choice was excellent and a lot more variety and the chef was happy to cater for us. Excellent welcome and rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely stay at this resort again.

Beautiful in every way. The hotel is immaculate, the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff and the food were 5 star. We would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for a peaceful place to be that feels like paradise.

A beautiful peaceful hotel, made exceptional by the attitude of the staff, who could not do enough to please, including helping me practise my recently learned Swahili! The location is stunning and my sons took advantage of the diving available. Everything is scrupulously clean and there is a good variety of food available both in the evenings and at the beach bar/lunch restaurant. The tennis court was a good extra as both one of my sons and I enjoy tennis. The evening entertainment was also fun, with a good band and some dancing. But it wasn't overly loud or tacky. If I want to be picky, the sea is not often swimmable as the deep water is a long way out beyond the reef except for at high tide, the hotel could do with bathrobes, and the plastic bath product dispensers are not what you would expect in a hotel of this quality. However, I had a fantastic time and would return and can highly recommend this hotel. Asante sana to all the wonderful staff!

Outstanding service and overall resort experience. Luca and his team were unfailingly solicitous and kind to our family through our entire 5 day stay. Each and every one of the staff greeted us warmly, addressed our requests graciously, and thanked us for being their guest. The spa was blissful and delivered the best massage that either my wife or I have ever experienced. Food service top notch as well with all areas and aspects exceeding our expectation for on-premises meals. When my son felt ill one evening the maintenance staff kindly helped us clean up and several staff members inquired about him when he stayed in the room the next morning at breakfast. Luca took the time to seek us out on the beach and offer the services of their in-house medical team to ensure my son’s recovery. Overall a superb experience and we would highly recommend this resort. We miss the cheery “jambo” greeting and warm smiles already!

My wife and I had a wonderfull 7 night sray after being on safari. It was the perfect chill out experience. No TV in the room, very peaceful in the restaurant, pool and bar area with low key and quiet music. The food and service were ecxellent. I have taken one star off the room rating as the balconies are not private. The divider does not extend to the front of the balcont which means neighbours have access to your section (see picture)

A wonderful hotel for a relaxing stay. We had been on a hectic safari holiday in Kenya and arrived in need of R & R. Lovely room near to the beach and facilities. Staff were really good and helpful. Themed food nights from local spicy favourites to bbq and a la carte. Huge beach and massive tides which meant swimming only possible in the hour before & after high tide. But lovely pool available surrounded by flowers and busy weaver birds.

We stayed at Breezes for 10 nights having spent two nights in Dar es Salaam. Kuoni had arranged for our transfer from the airport to the resort and we arrived to a warm welcome from Luca who gave us the low down on the how Breezes operated. We were then shown to our accommodation, a Superior Garden room. The room was spacious and very well presented with a minibar, air conditioning and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Next time we will book a room nearer to the sea front as ours was quite a walk to the sea not that that was in itself an issue but at night the paths were not brightly lit. The staff were friendly welcoming, efficient and very engaging. The nightly entertainment was varied and we particularly enjoyed the telling of the history of Zanzibar by a storyteller from the nearby village. The food varied between all you could eat buffet and a set menu with the variety of choice and quality being excellent. We were lucky to have sight of the full moon rising out of the Indian Ocean which made the tides particularly high thus allowing us to swim in the sea every day although the pool was there if the tide was out. The excursions available were varied and we particularly enjoyed the reef walk, a trip to Stone Town, the Jozani Forest, Mangroves and the snorkeling trip up the coast. Whilst it was hot the cooling north westerly breeze kept us cool(ish). Thank you to all who made this a memorable trip, we will definitely make a return visit.
