Kiwengwa Beach Resort

I absolutely loved the experience at Kiwengwa Beach Resort. The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the food was good, the pizza was the best & the Pina Colada is a must try. They had entertainment every evening, which was so much fun but so relaxing at the same time. And if you want to relax & just lay in the sun on the beach, the resort was 20 steps away from the beach. I loved being so close to the ocean.

We were here for a 4n stay. The resort is superbly located. It has 3 pools of which one is sea water pool. Several categories of rooms from standard to pool villa are available. Casual place. Huge sitting area to chill and have a drink and enjoy eve programs. Outdoor single seater jacuzzi is great! Beach is clean. Seaweed in some places. But no garbage as such. At high tide the ocean is superb! Small eateries around of other resorts can be options if you're not on full board package. Don't take a full board. The food gets very repetitive. Chef needs to innovate for all meals, especially breakfast.
Angela the GR Manager tales care of all niggles that may arise. And they do. Hot water ran out, for example. But she's always there to get things sorted. Very efficient Russian.
Angela from housekeeping is very efficient too. Understands your needs for change of linen etc and is ever smiling. A convenience store just outside the resort gate gives water, soda and Tonic water options to buy and some other soft drinks. Kiwengwa Mini Market a 10min walk away gives you all the provisions you may need. Do visit this store!
Dlx room upwards are better located. Drinks are reasonably priced. Between 4 to 6 usd a pop.
Bathroom can do with a shower curtain to prevent water from spilling on to the dry area.
One cannot dial room service. It has to go thru the reception and therfore takes a long time for the person to arrive, take your order and go back to fetch the order! Waste of time.
Spa is NOT a spa. It's a massage centre only. No water, herbal tea or anything that is needed is offered to clients. However that therapists are well trained. Sakina was really good for both the medical massages we took.
Staff is friendly all over. Service in bar area is efficient.
So all in all a 4 on 5 or 7 on 10 rating. But definitely recommend!!

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at Kiwengwa Beach Resort, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The staff exceeded our expectations at every turn, making our special day even more extraordinary.

The location's beauty was matched only by the stunning decor and the hotel's dedication to customer service. The arrangements were seamless, the rooms were of high quality, and the overall service was commendable.

A special mention goes to the General Manager, Mr. Ayed, whose accommodating nature and dedication to ensuring our comfort helped alleviate much of the usual wedding stress. Angela, the guest relations manager, proved to be an angel indeed, anticipating our needs and fulfilling them efficiently and graciously. She is a true asset to the team.

Mr. Zabron's attentive supervision of the entire event ensured that everything was executed to our satisfaction. He and his excellent team deserve a hearty applause for their impressive skills.

The culinary delights, customized and expertly prepared by the Chef, Mr. Godfrey, and his team were a gastronomical adventure. The quality, freshness, and presentation of the food left us and our guests highly impressed and the live, on-beach, right-in-front-of-the-room BBQ prepared by one of the kitchen sous-chefs was so spectacular!

Our heartfelt thanks go out to them and everyone else at Kiwengwa Beach Resort, whose names we do not know. Each one of you holds a special place in our hearts and contributed to making our wedding an unforgettable experience.

Great time with family. It as an amazing resort, very well suited for family. Friendly staff from all the departments from front desk, housekeeping, pool and beach attendants as we all 3 restaurants staff within the resort.

Nothing annoying

It's the first time I've gotten this far. To be honest, I was a little worried. Reality exceeded all expectations! I really liked the hotel, green, beautiful, clean. The food satisfied me completely. The rooms are spacious and clean, cleaned on time. But, most importantly, of course, the ocean! That's what we went for! Impressed and satisfied! I think I will definitely come back here again and again.

We spent a beautiful holiday here. We loved the authenticity of the place, the atmosphere, the service. Special thanks belong to the Food & Beverages Manager - Nestory Ezekiel. His communicativeness, friendly approach and professional service on daily basis made the experience wonderful. Our youngest son celebrated his birthday there, so we had asked for a cake. We loved how it was presented! The manager and other staff brought it while dancing and singing a lively African song. It is unforgettable. They did not ask for extra money for the cake and the show, but of course some extra money was well deserved and appreciated.

The resort is well-kept, clean and serviced. The rooms are big and air-conditioned but a little humid because of the climate. We were afraid of the low tide but in the end we didn't mind at all. It was just a few tens of metres. The sea was better with high tide though as there was just white sand beneath you and no seaweed.

Your experience here will be an unforgettable one. We stayed here approximately four nights, we experienced the resort like no better place we ever visited.

The staff are outstanding, they smile and welcome you all the time, they know how to make you happy and welcomed. Special thanks to Said & Stella in the reception, and Zabron, Mousa and Said in the restaurant. They made our stay a wonderful one and unforgettable.

The food was good, and they change the cuisines everyday, so you don't end up eating the same thing.

The resort main areas are very well maintained, and they take good care of all the amenities. Our room was not outstanding, it was a little old and the mattress was a little bit uncomfortable, but for the price we paid, we can't complain.

The noise is high sometimes, because these rooms has no insulation on the doors or windows, and you feel the humidity in room all the time. Obviously it's a tropical place and we understand the heat and humidity is common.

Thanks for the outstanding experience here, I definitely recommend this resort without any hesitation.

The staff is honestly so nice and friendly that you will want to rush back ! We had a fabulous stay, in this very relaxing resort. Several pools, beautiful garden, direct access to an infinite beach. Buffet had variety and is a very good value for money. Room was spacious with a balcony, the bed was not the most comfortable I have tried but overall I absolutely recommend this resort for a hassle free, relaxing holiday with outstanding views.
