Zanzi Resort

Very good hotel, good environment, good service, a small beach, clean swimming pool. We booked a one-price package with three meals included, and the food was very good and it felt very worthwhile.

Zanzi Resort is the best hotel experience. Love the late breakfast until 12 in the room in front of our private pool. The breakfast is super awesome and I would argue that it is better than most top breakfasts in the Nordics - even the ones that win breakfast awards. Love the fact that they don't have a room service fee and you can buy stuff for the villa at any time. Private place and very few people. So this is a place to chill. Close to Stone Town, so if you want to combine with Zafari and stuff then this is one of the better locations compared to the north and east sides. Zanzi is perfect for couples and families wanting to hang out together. If you want to see some of the long Zanzibar beaches - then I might combine with another hotel (if you have not seen the long beaches before). Some will likely be disappointed with low tide beach play. High tide is awesome for swimming at Zanzi from the beach. During low tide, you need beach-footware or use the pier. Important remark; all of Zanzibar beaches will have challenges to swim during low tide (some parts of Nungwi might be OK, but that is a busy place compared to Zanzi Resort). At Zanzi you wake up - look out into the jungle or the ocean, jump in the pool, and wait for breakfast to be brought to your room. Then you hang out and relax - perhaps explore the pier or go on an excursion, and then get an awesome 5-course dinner at night - either at the beach, on the pier, in their restaurant, or in your own villa.

Wonderful place that exceeded expectations! Really professional and good service with proud, skilled and attentive staff. Wonderful exotic surroundings. Personalised, romantic, familiar and very private. Amazing decor and wonderful villas. The food has been beyond expectations and varied greatly. Can highly recommend Zanzi resort!

The location was a combination of beach and jungle. The room was excellent, comfortable and clean. It had a bedroom plus a living room and you could exit both onto the private garden which led down to the beach. We also had a pool. The room was cleaned daily and water, etc updated. The grounds were lovely and paths kept clean of leaves etc. Finally, the staff were brilliant. I am unable to name one in particular as they were all friendly and efficient, always willing to sort something out for me, e.g. I lost my phone (I hadn’t really lost it I’d just forgotten what I’d done with it) but they looked for it for me and were completely understanding when I was making a fuss over nothing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily return.

This place is a Paradise in Paradise. We were accommodated in the Superior Garden Villa which was perfectly decorated for its setting and came with its own plunge pool . The resort is set in a lush forest bordered by the warm Indian Ocean . The amazing jetty takes you well into the sea for amazing sunset views and cocktails. The daily changing lunch and dinner menus ensured that no meals were repeated. The spa on the beach with its amazing treatments made for a fantastic experience. Anna and her team ensured superior service and made my stay all the more memorable and enjoyable. The dinner on the jetty was simply sublime . The spice jungle on the property made for tranquil walks and reflection . I simply loved the Zanzi Resort experience…

Staying at Zanzi Resort does not feel like staying in a hotel, but being hosted by friends. Wonderfully kept lush tropical gardens, lots of privacy, very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome from the first moment ... and an excellent and varied cuisine, which exceeded our expectations. We loved our stay from the moment we arrived! Not the best place to enjoy swimming in the sea, - but a good base to explore the sites nearby. And at the end of the day a beautiful sunset awaits on the pier. A perfect hideaway to relax and unwind!

Staying at Zanzi resort was one of the best experiences. All the staff are very nice and attentive. The food is superb!! I have stayed at other resorts in Zanzibar and the food here is top tier. The resort is beautiful and my room was always clean. The staff sung happy birthday to me on my birthday and surprised me with a beautiful cake. The head chef came out to greet us because I complimented him on his amazing food. Here at Zanzi Resort you feel like family and we all danced together on Christmas. I have been to many resorts and this one is my all time favorite! I had such an amazing birthday here and I will return!

Very good place. Very good food and service. Private beach and pears. Best place on the island

Pros: The hotel is in a good location, the sunset is beautiful, the plants are beautiful, like a big garden. The soaj is very comfortable, facing the sea. Cons: The room facilities are a bit old, the service is average, the mini bar and sunset wine in the room are charged items, the signs are not clear, we thought they were free items, and the cost of calling a taxi for the guests is very high. Overall evaluation: The hotel is average, not worth the price of more than 3,000, and the cost performance is not high.

Zanzi resort is a veritable corner of paradise in a setting of calm and pleasure ! A big thanks to the whole staff. The team is very kind, attentive and professional it was a magical stay and we'll be delighted to go back. we highly recommend it!
