We stayed in one of their newer Ocean facing suits with 3 beds. upon arrival, a few things were not in place as expected but the staff worked hard and fast to fix or repair anything that was not as it should have been. I greatly appreciated all the effort and hospitality of the following team members; Athumam, AKA "King Arthur", Tomas, Lemalali, and Felisse in the dining room. Each and every one of them deserves recognition and a reward for their hard work and dedication. Cleanliness: The staff worked hard keeping the common areas and grounds clean and manicured. Our room was cleaned daily and sprayed for mosquito's ever night during the turn down service. Thank You! Spa: We received excellent and professional massages at the spa, highly recommend All-inclusive package: was not worth the money for us, since we were not at the hotel all day to take advantage of the meals and the food was average at best. The drinks were just ok as well. Location: about 1+ hour away from town

I had an unforgettable experience at Bluebay Beach Resort & Spa. From the moment I arrived, Mr. Dass, the General Manager, made me feel like I was home. He is kind, professional, and incredibly welcoming — a true leader. The staff were also amazing: Atila, Rashid, Khadija, Khalfan, Chef Oscar, Erick, Yaya and others (whose names I sadly can’t remember) were all so friendly and always addressed guests by name — such a thoughtful and rare detail! The rooms were cleaned daily, mosquito control was done regularly, and the entire environment felt calm, safe, and relaxing. Breakfast was smooth, and dinner was a beautiful experience every night — with live African performances, Maasai dances, singers, and a buffet that changed daily. I had so much fun and created beautiful memories. Even though I’m back home now, my heart is still in Zanzibar. Thank you, Bluebay team — I’ll definitely return, and I already started recommending you to everyone I know! Highly recommended — one of the best resort teams I’ve ever met!

It was a wonderful experience in paradise with a truly African flair - the staff were amazing and I loved the spa - a place to be pampered and to let go of all the stress and mental baggage - what a happy place! As a solo traveller and female at that, it was a place to find me again! Highly recommend!!

Hotel advertises all inclusive however nothing is indeed included. Hotel charges surcharges for almost everything which was not appreciable after paying additional fees for all inclusive packages.

The hotel is particularly beautiful, on the sea and everything is green. It is exceptionally clean, the staff is welcoming and provides service above and beyond, responding to every request immediately, and the hotel manager also personally takes care of every request. We will definitely be back.

Online videos on YouTube and social media don’t do this place justice. It’s beautiful, the staff are extremely attentive, warm and always go the extra mile! Also the beds are huge!! Dhani at the spa gave me a fantastic treatment, it was so good me and the whole family came back for additional treatments. Joyce, Khadija at the and the cooks remembered our names, cocktail orders, food preferences and always great energy. Dass was brilliant! He got us medicine for our son and saved us a long trip to the pharmacy. He always kept us in the loop on the entertainment and gave recommendations.

An exceptional experience, I can truly say I have never had service or relaxation like it. Situated on the beautiful Indian Ocean, the breeze floating across you, the idyllic surroundings and amazing staff, I cannot fault this hotel. The welcome party and attention to detail is incredible. The spa, the cooking stations for full board, the fine dining restaurants, the starfish seeking, the golden sands and entertainment- all superb. Thank you to the amazing General Manager Dass and his fabulous crew- I will never forget my stay and will return

My mum and I stayed at Bluebay for 4 nights following a safari on the mainland. Pros: All staff (bar one or two) were very friendly and accommodating, making you feel very welcome. They even gifted us some beautiful flowers and a cake to celebrate my mums birthday. The 3 on site restaurants as well as the buffet provided a range of food, which was all fresh and delicious. I loved the food at ‘The Wok’ the most. My mum unfortunately fell ill and the on site Dr was extremely helpful, reception staff also assisted her in getting to/from his office and showed great care. And finally the surroundings - the beach and pool area are just beautiful and the hotel plenty of sun loungers so every guest has space. Cons: The hotel is a fair distance from the main attractions, so be prepared to pay very high taxi costs if you would like to go to the stone town or Nungwi beach. All inclusive drinks do not start until 11 - on our last day I asked for a bottle of water and was quite rudely told no, despite me needing this for my sick mum. I had however seen others get drinks from the same bar earlier that morning. If you want a relaxing few days to do nothing but swim, eat and drink then I would definitely recommend Bluebay.
