WARNING!
Do not stay there! The manager, an Italian guy Danilo, is totally irresponsible! We were a group of friends and within the first day of stay 50 euro disappeared from one of our backpacks in the room. It later turned out that the door lock had been damaged and it was easy to enter the room. The worst was to come though: on the checkout we left our luggage at the reception at midday to take a two-hour walk only to come back and realize one of the backpacks – with a passport inside! – got stolen. Long story short: the security cameras which where there turned out not to be working, we had to go to the police and then to Dar es to the embassy for a new passport, on the way to which we learned – after two days – the backpack was found and supposedly was taken by mistake by a guests. However, Danilo failed to explain how on earth a guest did not realize for two nights he had mistaken a backpack – something that one uses pretty often. Moreover, he made us wait over two hours in Stone Town for the backpack, although we agreed an appointment in advance and it is less than an hour drive. On top of that, Danilo seemed to claim we were the problem, although it was our stuff that was stolen in a place kept by him. Eventually, we got the backpack just hours before our flight back home – needless to say the last days of holidays were a mess. Overall, the irresponsible attitude and ignorance of this guy makes us come back never again, which is a pity, cos the place is otherwise cosy (although in not a vibrant area), right on the beach, and the Tanzanian girl at the reception was friendly.

From bad room, management method, and solutions

At first I found many problems in the room and I talked to solve it and I was very sad about the bad experience and I spoke that the price should be reduced and the response was that it will be reduced and all the time they say thier manager doesn't have time at all, The manager of the hotel is very arrogant.

At the beginning of the problems
The bathroom door and bathtub had many problems, and the toilet had problems

And they moved us to a room temporarily
Half of our clothes were in one room and the other half in a second room, and we alternated between the two rooms, and this was fishy

One of the strange things I found when they finished cleaning the room and found them leaving the key in the room door outside and there were very valuable things in the room.

And in the early morning one of the staff came to say the manager wants you to move the room and it was fixed early in the morning we hardly woke up
And at night, we found out that the bathroom door was broken
And we found that we live in the bathroom as if it were a swamp of water
And when we spoke with the management about the key was in the door, the management said it wasn't their fault that they forgot our key on the door because the place is safe!!!, and it was necessary for us to move all our valuables from the first room to the second room, as the employee said, but that is illogical. All items, no matter how small, are valuable to me. She was arguing with us that not moving all our things was our fault and she was trying to evade responsibility

And really, the manager's treatment was all growing up and escaping from our confrontation.

If you want to waste your beautiful vacation I highly recommend the place.

But overall, I wouldn't recommend this place
