Remember to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your stay. This website will compare countless booking websites and usually will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This resort is one of the highest rated in this area. I've been coming here for years. If you choose this place you for sure won't be let down.
Nice hotel with a cool retro feel to it. I particularly loved the corner...
Great view from Floor 24! Amazing gym! One of my favorite Marriotts. Lovely staff. The location is fantastic; you can walk, rent a bike and have lots of restaurant choices.
(Picture taken from my hotel room window.)
They definitely try. The room is small. The small footprint is not unique for a city hotel but the low stepped ceilings made it feel even smaller. I’m 5ft 5inches tall (basketball was never in my future) and could touch the ceiling….it’s overpriced for what you get but convenient to the MIT Sloan building. The staff was awesome awesome (double awesome).
The hotel was clean, comfortable and modern, but what really made our stay was Norma at the front desk. She treated me like a friend she'd known for years not a client to file in the appropriate room. She was professional, knowledgeable and personable. It felt like I had ally and peer on the inside to help me be comfortable during my stay. Authentic customer service in a world that's almost forgotten...
Very expensive, and the restaurant service was much slower than seemed rational… likely because I am not a platinum member. The M-club food was good (just plan for everything to take an hour longer that in any other restaurant). The room was small but tidy. Good hotel gym, but all the running machines fill up quick in the morning. Overall, I’d recommend finding another hotel at half the cost 2 minutes...
The front desk was amazing. My wife was greeted warmly and efficiently by Employee#32(forgive us, we lost her name) and checkout was also well done by Arasia.
We attended a wedding and stayed overnight. The room was clean and spacious. The wait staff at the wedding reception and morning brunch were gracious and professional. We were extremely pleased with our stay here and the employees here definitely...

The hotel was a lot busier than I expected. There was a lot of noise coming from the surrounding rooms with kids running wild or people just having a conversation at 3am outside the door.
The room itself was comfy and I had a great nights sleep! The bathroom was clean but a little dated. Careful with the river view room upgrades, the room I was in only had a partial river view which doesn't look like...
This hotel has a great location and could be a wonderful experience, but the service was not good on our trip. I joined a friend at the end of a 2-week stay for a conference. The AC unit leaked onto my bed during the night. Maintenance fixed it, but no one changed the sheets. I think this could be a great hotel, but they might have some hiring issues right now.
Location is great and if you get a balcony view, it's a great overlook of the river. The room itself was fine. There were some nice touches and the bed was pretty comfy. No actual complaints over my short one night stay. Very quiet too.
There is a Starbucks on premise which is nice. For me though, the highlight was the views and getting to watch the sweep rowing teams from the balcony.
This review is only for the restaurant. Dante was just OK. It was quiet and had gorgeous views on a Friday night which was great! It was also decorated nicely and the chairs weren't terrible. Unfortunately, the food was just eh. We split four appetizers then each got a small main. Nothing was excellent and everything was very expensive. Our waiter was also EXCEPTIONALLY awkward. Overall I would not...
Just went to meet friends at the bar. Had a great time! Bartender was cool and made me my drink even though he ran out of a liquor in the process!
Very nice hotel w/beautiful interior design throughout.
Friendly staff.
Comfortable beds.
Great toiletries.
ALWAYS the bonus is having a bathrobe waiting 4 me in my room!!! Which comes standard w/every room.
No microwaves anywhere on property!

I stayed here on a business trip. I was here for an early check in and, unfortunately was not able to be accommodated due to full booking the night before. However, the staff was able to accommodate this and store my luggage until a room was available allowing me to go out and enjoy some time visiting Boston. My luggage was delivered directly to my room. The rooms were well maintained and clean. I...
Great. Cool corporate hotel. loved it. Interesting inner courtyard going on with indoor room balconies which are strange but fun. Glass elevators. Beautiful views. River walk out the back with bunnies galore. Too many bunnies...had to be dozens, it was scary, cute and amazing.
Beautiful hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the views of the river from the rooms are immaculate. The restaurants are very good, and the service and staff at the front desk and restaurant are cordial and attentive. My one issue is the location to downtown Boston. There is no hotel shuttle so you have to drive 15 - 20 minutes to get downtown, and parking in Boston is very expensive. As...
Second time staying here for the weekend. I love what they did with the lobby renovation. Spacious room with great view of the Charles River. You can easily find free parking on Vassar street and it’s free for the whole weekend. The only down side is when there is a wedding going on, the elevator wait can get very long even there are 4 elevators. Aside from that, when we finally got to the first floor...
Overall a great stay. If you haven’t been in a while there are some changes to the lobby and restaurant. The restaurant was disappointing with a very limited menu and so so food. We had planned to have dinner there, so made do with the small menu. Our waitresses were great. Room service is no longer available which was a disappointment. There’s not a lot of food options within walking distance....
Bed is comfortable, room is spacious, tv is massive. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and outdoor area with loungers. Fitness room is off of the swimming pool area. The lobby has a store with snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. Parking is hourly with the option of valet. Overnight parking is $40. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The Charles Hotel in Harvard Square
Cambridge, 1 Bennett Street 🧭 Map
The hotel is very conveniently located close to the shops and restaurants in Harvard Square but a few streets back so that it is quiet. I enjoyed my breakfast at the hotel restaurant Henrietta's Table. I had a great view from my ninth floor room. Staff were very helpful and understanding; they organized a mini fridge for my room. My bed was very comfortable and my triple room was also very spacious...
The Charles Hotel was the perfect home for our wedding weekend on December 31, 2022. No one could've taken care of us, our family, and our friends better.
From the months prior of expert planning with Jennifer Halpin, to the day of execution, on a holiday no less, with the most pleasant staff... we were blown away. The reservations team, including Ariana Ricci, was responsive and kind while handling...
Great hotel with very friendly staff. Fitness room is a little bit of a euphemism. Cafe ok. Beds are amazing and interior throughout the hotel very nice.
To Alex, Jennifer and the entire staff at The Charles Hotel,
You helped us achieve all of our daughter’s and new son in law’s wedding of their dreams. From the minute we arrived to the end of an enchanted wedding reception we are all so very grateful. A wedding is not an easy event to plan, however you and your staff made it look easy! Thank you for everything we couldn’t be happier today.

This hotel is very conveniently located close to Harvard Square's shops and restaurants and the T station. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with a nice view over the central courtyard. The hotel's restaurant Henrietta's Table serves a good breakfast. Staff were very helpful and understanding organizing a refrigerator for my room. This is a great place to stay right next to Harvard Square.
No pool!!!!! I was really looking forward to swimming for my back, since I spent all day either driving a great distance or visiting my mom all day at a nearby hospital for esophageal cancer. The pool was the biggest draw for my picking this hotel aside from the great restaurant and location within Boston. The atmosphere was really nice but I will admit I was little surprised by the lack of AC in...

This was a nice dog friendly hotel. Beds are very comfortable, and the restaurant inside had great food. Coffee bar in the morning and a free wine hour from 5-6pm. Also, they do dollar oysters from 5-7pm, and they were prepared so well. I took away one star just because, unfortunately, the gym was closed, but they do give you passes to use a local gym, which was close enough to walk to. The ice machines...
Our first visit. Interesting design. Nice lobby. Excellent staff. We had no problem checking our bags hours before our room was ready. The room was big and bright. The bathroom needed maintenance - peeling wall paper/paint and a rusting tub drain. Also there seems to be no bathroom ventilation. The bathroom remained fogged for an hour after a shower. The underground parking garage is a complete...
Excellent choice for those doing business in Cambridge. They offer wine at 5:00 p.m. and free coffee for most of the morning. Full bar service with breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Staff is professional and courteous. Great location and walkable to the Charles river bike and walking path and the shopping mall.
One of the best hotels that I’ve stayed at with dogs, both in terms of accommodations and service. The front desk staff was very welcoming and offered dog treats, dog bowls and even dog beds free of charge. The rooms were modern and spacious. Exactly what we needed.
Staff are wonderful! Rooms were dated but functional. Beds were clean and very comfortable. The fitness center was small, but they had more equipment than I was expecting with a filtered water dispenser and chilled towels.
LOVE that they are pet friendly and you can get dog water and food dishes delivered to your room! The less to pack when traveling with a pup the better! There is also a park directly...
We had a fantastic stay. We came into town to visit friends, some of whom live north of the city and others who live south of the city. Great hotel. Very clean. The room was spacious and beautiful. $39 for parking a day is pretty steep though. But it is in a very convenient location. Close to a lot of fun activities.
Solid hotel for a business trip - friendly and efficient front desk check-in. Rooms are well appointed, including irons that work and proper hair dryers. Front staff accommodated our reasonable requests quickly and happily. No complaints! There is also a Trader Joe's within 5 minutes walk.
Great location and rooms. The staff are friendly. The restaurant has good food. The city/river views are amazing and worth the cost. Sunrise or set on the Charles River is beautiful. There's a Starbucks, Trader's Joe's and Whole Foods nearby. You can also walk to Harvard square on a nice day. The only downside is the small gym
Great venue for an event. We made some Tee Shirts for some teenagers. Location staff, and facility is perfect for a medium sized venue. One of my favorites around Boston.
Great location. Accessible from Boston Downtown. Close to Harvard n MIT. Great views of the city from top floors. Has a bistro n a Japanese restaurant. Plenty of options to order in too.
We loved our stay. Some discrepancy on rates tho. Our first night, we booked online and a FANTASTIC rate. Our 2nd night, due to our flight being cancelled (thanks, Irma!) The manager gave us a "deal" which was about $70 higher on one room and $50 on the other. We weren't super happy but it was the best deal we found so we stayed anyway. Great location!

Enjoyed the breakfast and the bar was also a nice place to relax
Attended a meeting at this hotel. The staff was very courteous and parking was easy which is a rarity in Cambridge. The bar in the hotel was great for after meeting drinks.
Have been visiting here for years. Newly remodeled lobby bar. Nice property with great staff. Very close to Central Square for dining options. Reasonable walk to Kendall Square and MIT.
Higher end hotel that's conveniently located in Cambridge. Sparkling wine at check in and a beautiful lobby. Rooms are very comfortable and quite. Lots and f light fixtures and nicely decorated. Room service is pricey but very good. Overall recommended but definitely on the pricey side.
This hotel doesn't feel like a Le Meridien. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it feels more like a Westin. Good location if you're in town for any MIT-related event.
I was married at this hotel 11yrs. Ago different management then now including ownership this place was beautiful then .... Clean rooms, very nice and accommodating staff. Gave our entire sports team late checkouts so that we could shower after our tournament finished. Great cleaning service.
This hotel has an amazing staff, everyone is really nice and willing to help.
BUT, it has terrible ENVIRONMENTAL and RECYCLING processes. I’ve been here for a month and could see the huge waste each day is created. All plates and cutlery are single use only. All towels are washed every day. Definitely a huge awareness and planet care is needed.
If you want extremely comfortable beds, modern clean rooms, and a great location for exploring Boston or Cambridge, this is the place to stay. My wife and I stayed at this Holiday Inn for a weekend getaway. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Edith, the receptionist at the front desk is absolutely amazing! Stayed here recently because I'm racking-up membership points. This place is clean, fresh, and the staff was on-point. Would stay again.
It's not quite in the middle of stuff, but the small parking lot is right on the street, and you can come and go as you please, or just walk.
this is a truly excellent marriott. they respond quickly to room service requests via app, the lobby is wonderfully decorated for Christmas and smells wonderful, free hot breakfast included and coffee always available, excellent convenient location for my brisk walking commute to MGH. highly recommend this hotel
Nice hotel. It had a microwave which was nice. Hotel was nice clean entry new. Small parking lot for $40 a day(Aug 2022). Only a 13 min walk for museum of science, and 10 minute drive from Quincy Market and Fennel Hall. Right next to the Green subway line which is a five 5 walk . Good compromise if your looking to pay a little less rather than staying downtown.
We had an excellent stay. The room was clean and well-appointed. The breakfast was substantial and there was a lot of variety on offer. But most of all, the staff was the BEST! We were staying after my husband had a medical procedure at Mass General and everyone was kind, compassionate, helpful and very friendly. Rooms are very small. My bathroom water smelled off. Every time I went near the bathroom I could smell it. They had very comfortable beds. Overall decent stay!
On my second night staying there, the shower handle to change the temperature and turn on the water fell off and to the ground with a heavy clank. I'm glad it didn't hit my feet! Never had that happen before, even at much more budget hotels. When I talked to the front desk, I had to be the one to suggest switching rooms (as it could apparently not be repaired at that hour), which was granted but a...
Every staff member I have talked to is very helpful and friendly. Thank you to the front desk manager in the morning who kindly allowed me to use the luggage cart to move my daughter’s luggage to the Harvard Yard. Perfect location. And they charge for that a lot!! Rooms are a little tight. Clean, modern. Hardly a reception area, just coffee in the lobby.
Good facilities and the approch of the entire staff is cordial too. They help you for almost everything. Manager is doing a great job. The rooms of the hotel is also so good. Specious rooms and the positive vibes are here.
The location is great, it's walking distance to a lot of locations around Harvard. I have a few bad points about this hotel: the wifi is spotty, slow, and potentially insecure, the toilet paper is thin and rough, the elevator is small and very slow, and the room keeping woke me up at 8. Rooms are ok, but on the small side. There's only a tiny desk and a cube to sit on. Fortunately, I didn't need to work in the room. Some minor quips, the thermostat was broken, the shower had not much pressure and the flow was barely enough to get wet, and the toilet kept running. The main advantage of Hotel Truth is its excellent location to Harvard square.
After a chance find we quickly booked into this hotel given the great looking pictures of the rooms. We were not disappointed! The friendly staff greet you on arrival and offer any choice of drinks available 24/7…all sorts of coffee on offer and fruit teas. A lovely reception lobby awaits you if you wish to hang around downstairs (see pictures). The room itself was exactly as described..modern bathroom...
Great room, albeit small and with varying water pressure. Extremely helpful staff. And an elevator you suspect might hold you hostage at the ground floor, but that's flavor
We made a group booking for our wedding party and guests. Justin was very accommodating to our requests and responded promptly. While one or two rooms are a little tired, overall everyone who stayed loved the ambience and found the staff to be polite, very helpful and discreet.

Cute, clean B&B. Cold, good tasting water plus tea and coffee available all day. There’s even a porch in the front where you can hang out at any time of the day. Thirteen minutes from the closest T stop. In a very quiet part of Cambridge.
We had a great stay in a private queen room (w/ private bathroom). The breakfast was incredible each morning. A little pricey perhaps, and the shower wasnt getting hot water (but tough). But I slept well, the place was clean and comfortable, and that was what was important. Great fun. Staff fabulous.
Really liked the rooms. Comfy bed. Fun decor and quiet.
Breakfast a bit repetitive and calorific. Tasty initially but it turns out there is such a thing as too much bacon.
I can’t say enough about this place. Rooms were clean and comfy. The decor in the hotel was unique and very interesting (in a good way)! The staff were clearly willing to go out of their way to help with anything we needed. The hot breakfast was great and the location couldn’t be better—it’s less than 1/4 mile from the closest subway stop. So convenient!
The hotel is beautiful. The wine tasting is a joke. Small plastic cup with a cheap white and a cheap red wine then you’re cut off after being asked twice what my room number was. A little embarrassing. The room is warm, hopefully it will cool down.
