large and comfortable room mine had a private terrace
I stayed here on a business trip. I was here for an early check in and, unfortunately was not able to be accommodated due to full booking the night before. However, the staff was able to accommodate this and store my luggage until a room was available allowing me to go out and enjoy some time visiting Boston. My luggage was delivered directly to my room. The rooms were well maintained and clean. I...
Great. Cool corporate hotel. loved it. Interesting inner courtyard going on with indoor room balconies which are strange but fun. Glass elevators. Beautiful views. River walk out the back with bunnies galore. Too many bunnies...had to be dozens, it was scary, cute and amazing.
Beautiful hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the views of the river from the rooms are immaculate. The restaurants are very good, and the service and staff at the front desk and restaurant are cordial and attentive. My one issue is the location to downtown Boston. There is no hotel shuttle so you have to drive 15 - 20 minutes to get downtown, and parking in Boston is very expensive. As...
Second time staying here for the weekend. I love what they did with the lobby renovation. Spacious room with great view of the Charles River. You can easily find free parking on Vassar street and it’s free for the whole weekend. The only down side is when there is a wedding going on, the elevator wait can get very long even there are 4 elevators. Aside from that, when we finally got to the first floor...
Overall a great stay. If you haven’t been in a while there are some changes to the lobby and restaurant. The restaurant was disappointing with a very limited menu and so so food. We had planned to have dinner there, so made do with the small menu. Our waitresses were great. Room service is no longer available which was a disappointment. There’s not a lot of food options within walking distance....

Marriott Hotel, the quality is guaranteed as always. The hotel is clean, the surrounding transportation is convenient, and the breakfast is relatively rich. The hotel facilities are first-class, the lobby is bright, and there are sports equipment
PS: I clearly requested a quiet room, but I don't know why they gave me a room near the elevator? There were too many people coming in and out of the elevator, so it was too noisy. I didn't sleep well, and the service was not very good. The hardware is probably at the level of Samsung in China.
It's a good time in the hotel.
The location is very good, convenient for travel, the room is clean, tidy and comfortable, very satisfied, I will stay here again next time
Good breakfast menu, other than that, I would like to say everything is normal.
Very good hotel, right next to the MIT Science Museum, with a subway station downstairs, coffee shops, restaurants and supermarkets for shopping. The room is very cozy. Next to it is the Google office building with complete facilities. It is great to meet with teachers and friends. It is also very convenient to Harvard, just two subway stops away. I highly recommend it.

Second time staying here, quite like the vibe of the hotel. By the river side of Boston river, quite quiet during the day, but also a popular gathering place at night and on weekends. So you get both the quietness and the crowd. The room is decent sizes, nothing to complain about. And the services are also reasonable. Surely would be my choice if I come back to Boston again. Oh forgot to mention, get...
Very good. The facilities are a bit old. The room is a bit unsoundproof, but everything else is ok.
Last minute reservation, fast check in, received a room upgrade when offered to join the Sonesta program. Very nice staff. The room was excellent, very clean and well presented. Highly recommend.
The hotel was a lot busier than I expected. There was a lot of noise coming from the surrounding rooms with kids running wild or people just having a conversation at 3am outside the door. The room itself was comfy and I had a great nights sleep! The bathroom was clean but a little dated. Careful with the river view room upgrades, the room I was in only had a partial river view which doesn't look like...
This hotel has a great location and could be a wonderful experience, but the service was not good on our trip. I joined a friend at the end of a 2-week stay for a conference. The AC unit leaked onto my bed during the night. Maintenance fixed it, but no one changed the sheets. I think this could be a great hotel, but they might have some hiring issues right now.
Good overall, front desk forgot our laundry twice but returned it quickly after we called to check

If it's not graduation season, this hotel is not worth the price 😓 The front desk service is quite cold. The highlight of this hotel is its excellent location, there is a shopping mall next to it, and it is convenient to transfer to the subway.
The room was very neat, clean and new. Very comfortable stay.
The hotel is in a good location and the room facilities are comfortable.
Elegant hotel within walking distance of the center. Nice room. Friendly staff.
Old hotel, small room. No view. No coffee machine. Friendly staff at the front desk. Large parking lot for $30 a day. Free coffee. Great location, close to Harvard and MIT.

excellent service and great staff. great breakfast and lovely well stocked spacious room
I stayed at this hotel for more than 6 weeks on one of my work trips and super liked the accommodation. The rooms are spacious, bed and other furniture were comfy and reasonably new. My room had a decent work desk and chair and the kitchen was fully functional. During my long stay the room service never missed out on their schedule and overall it was a pleasurable stay.

Rooms were large and clean with all the amenities you need. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of tables and comfortable places to set up a laptop and work for a few hours after breakfast service is complete. Convenient to coffee shops and restaurants (always important for work travel) and a lovely little park next door.

We had a great stay in a very nice room. The rooms are newly renovated and very nice. The hotel is well appointed and in a great spot. Only issue we had was that there was poor water pressure in the bath/shower. Other than that, everything was fine.

Excellent hotel. The service was perfect. Room was clean and Monica was always available to provide with towels. Fairfield has an amazing location, near the Lechmere Station.
We had a lovely stay at the Fairfield Cambridge. From the lovely stuff at reception that allowed us to check in early in the morning. The service throughout our stay was excellent with lovely stuff all around. The location, and the proximity to the subway station I'd a key asset to the property.
Very clean and comfortable! We actually liked the sound of the train. It’s very calming to us. But I think it’s awesome they provided a noise machine. My only complaint is the “comforter” which had two flat sheets to give it a duvet-ish feel. One on top one on bottom. But they come apart?? Plus it’s too heavy. But the bed is comfy. 5 stars overall.
The folks in the lobby have been very accommodating! Gaby had gone above & beyond to ensure we had a great hotel service & experience. Andrea the housekeeper was proactive and got us fresh towels + anything else we needed in the room. Breakfast was also great, the staff made sure everything was fully stocked with fresh food & drinks, they had someone giving clear instructions on how to use their waffle...
Loved this Marriott and the location. Rooms are clean and breakfast is 10/10 the best part of this hotel. Lechmere station (MBTA) is a 5 min walk. There is water, lemonade, tea, coffee, and free snacks daily. The employees are so nice as well. Perfect for long stays.
Great service! Especially Juan at the front desk improved our stay a lot. He was very helpful, kind and patient. Very professional! Breakfast ist typically American, vegan options were bagels, jam, peanut butter and fruits (uncut apples and bananas). The linen was too small for the bed so it slipped off a few times at night .. the free tea and lemonade is nice though.. the doors aren’t soundproof...

The room was very nice, the service was also very good, but there was no free parking, the parking lot cost $50 per night, which was quite speechless. But the breakfast was good, the free breakfast was very delicious, which was the only consolation.
Convenient transportation, rich breakfast
Although it is not far from MIT, the surrounding area feels quite remote. The front desk service is not good. They refused to provide bottled water. I asked for it twice but they didn't give it to me. They said it was only for members and asked us to buy it at the gift shop, but there was no one in the store. Later, I went to the supermarket next door to buy water. Then I remembered that I had registered...
The room is not small and has all the basic facilities. It is an 8-minute walk from the Green Line. Although it is not in the center of Boston, it is still very convenient. The breakfast variety is OK. We stayed for 9 days and we were tired of it by the end. There is a big supermarket next to it, which is very convenient and cost-effective.
Trouble with the toilet flush 😱
Very good and clean. I stayed there for the second time. The space is very large.

Really nice, clean, spacious, and *new* rooms; came for a wedding. I got along with the valet, they were cool/had the best attitude, obligatory parking for vehicles. The service relates to the hotel staff/hotel security, and this next part: They wouldn’t however let us gather in the penthouse rooms (we had a smaller group of 15-25). This hotel is great. They even have a small game room with pool, shuttle board, and pinball machine. Valet parking is nice, but pricey. Wish the room/bathroom had an exhaust fan. Besides that, great experience. Josephine’s is attached and great!
I've stayed at this hotel a few times over the past year. While not amenity-rich, the rooms are quite spacious for the price and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Being able to text the front desk to ask questions and make requests is also a plus. Parking is valet-only, which can be expensive and slightly annoying if returning to the hotel late at night, though I understand the benefit...
This hotel has it all! My three kids (15, 13 & 10) loved hanging out in the game room which was actually made it super fun for us to meet with friends in the comfy sitting area just off the lobby. The hotel is very conveniently located close to the shops and restaurants in Harvard Square but a few streets back so that it is quiet. The Charles Hotel was the perfect home for our wedding weekend on December 31, 2022. No one could've taken care of us, our family, and our friends better. Great hotel with very friendly staff. Fitness room is a little bit of a euphemism. Cafe ok. Beds are amazing and interior throughout the hotel very nice.
To Alex, Jennifer and the entire staff at The Charles Hotel, You helped us achieve all of our daughter’s and new son in law’s wedding of their dreams. This hotel is very conveniently located close to Harvard Square's shops and restaurants and the T station. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with a nice view over the central courtyard. The hotel's restaurant Henrietta's Table serves a good breakfast. Staff were very helpful and understanding organizing a refrigerator for my room. This is a great place to stay right next to Harvard Square.
No pool!!!!! I was really looking forward to swimming for my back, since I spent all day either driving a great distance or visiting my mom all day at a nearby hospital for esophageal cancer. The pool was the biggest draw for my picking this hotel aside from the great restaurant and location within Boston. Attended a meeting at this hotel. The staff was very courteous and parking was easy which is a rarity in Cambridge. The bar in the hotel was great for after meeting drinks.
Have been visiting here for years. Newly remodeled lobby bar. Nice property with great staff. Very close to Central Square for dining options. Reasonable walk to Kendall Square and MIT.
Higher end hotel that's conveniently located in Cambridge. Sparkling wine at check in and a beautiful lobby. Rooms are very comfortable and quite. Lots and f light fixtures and nicely decorated. Room service is pricey but very good. Overall recommended but definitely on the pricey side.
This hotel doesn't feel like a Le Meridien. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it feels more like a Westin. Good location if you're in town for any MIT-related event.
I was married at this hotel 11yrs. Ago different management then now including ownership this place was beautiful then .... Requested a 6:30 am wake-up call from the staff (man and woman) working the night shift, and I never got the call. Shower head needs to be replaced, it shoots knifelike daggers of water, can't be adjusted.
We were staying for the weekend as my daughter was running the marathon. Friday night was filled with children running up and down the hall yelling without any parental intervention. Saturday morning we, and several other guests in 2nd floor, let the front desk know we were ok with them kicking the loud family out. We had no further trouble. In fact, the front desk staff couldn’t have been more pleasant...
The rooms were okay - not huge, and no frills. The location was excellent and the staff was wonderful. Our first room had a leaky shower - would not stop dripping - and the front desk staff immediately switched us to a new room. The WiFi signal was fairly weak, and I had to use my hotspot most of the time.
I arrived at the hotel at 8am, and they kindly accommodated my early check-in. There was a drink bar next to the check-in counter, so I was able to relax and have a cup of coffee while I waited. I would definitely use this service again the next time I visit Harvard.
Nice store, close to Harvard University.

This is one of the most beautiful little hotels in Cambridge. The staff are amazing. It’s a wonderful place. I would recommend it in every time I’ve stayed there many times and each time is better and they just remodeled and it’s beautiful.
Hotel Veritas Doesn't Disappoint The hotel was well-positioned for our trip to explore both Boston and Cambridge. The staff were exceptional, and the amenities quite nice. Having one of the smaller rooms I had only wished for just a bit more drawer or organizational space - but it was quite lovely nonetheless!
Wonderful stay! Wonderful stay! Room was freshly remodeled, lovely property, great location, but most importantly, staff are the best. Service is impeccable and the people are just the nicest and most friendly.
Very friendly, close to Harvard square and the river (goos for jogging).
Great find! Fantastic in all respect. Friendly staff, and great 24-hour espresso machine. They don't serve meals, but there are plenty of great eateries nearby. Tatte Bakery & Cafe is highlky recommended for breakfast (including full breakfasts), pastries, and coffee.

Roomy, very clean bedrooms, great breakfast choices.
Parking is a nightmare, but it's a city business. Bed part was great, very comfortable. The breakfast part was very Comfort Inn like, little disappointed.
I stayed at Irving house 5 years back when visiting MIT, and I really liked it, so I came back when I was visiting MIT again. I took a single room with shared bath. The room is perfect for a single person. It's compact yet efficient. The bed was also very comfortable. It's perfect for a short stay, if you are out for work on campus mostly. I always found the bathrooms available. It's a little bit of...
Cute, clean B&B. Cold, good tasting water plus tea and coffee available all day. There’s even a porch in the front where you can hang out at any time of the day. Thirteen minutes from the closest T stop. In a very quiet part of Cambridge.
We had a great stay in a private queen room (w/ private bathroom). The breakfast was incredible each morning. The rooms are a little warm, but staff accommodated me by not only turning the thermostat slightly cooler, but also by providing me with a small fan, making it the perfect temp in the room. We didn't use the laundry facilities, but they are available and coin operated. There is an ice machine...
The Irving house is extremely cozy - in a good way. Mildly secluded, but not so that it isn't a short walk to the Harvard Square with a great selection of restaurants and eateries. Rooms are very clean and the people at the front desk very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend. Update: To whom it may concern, there was never hot water in the shower (late June).

I've only been in the Boston area for 8 days but so far so good 👍 I'm loving my accommodations. It's a unique large home that's clean, the owners are inviting, friendly down to earth people. A little pricey perhaps, and the shower wasnt getting hot water (but tough). But I slept well, the place was clean and comfortable, and that was what was important. Lugging a heavy suitcase up two flights of narrow, steep stairs was fun (not) but still, would possibly stay again should the opportunity arise.
