The service is poor, lower than the room price, the customer service does not answer the phone, and after answering, the customer is put on hold online

Second time staying here, quite like the vibe of the hotel. By the river side of Boston river, quite quiet during the day, but also a popular gathering place at night and on weekends. So you get both the quietness and the crowd. The room is decent sizes, nothing to complain about. And the services are also reasonable. Surely would be my choice if I come back to Boston again. Oh forgot to mention, get a river view room, it's surely worth the price difference.

Very good. The facilities are a bit old. The room is a bit unsoundproof, but everything else is ok.

Last minute reservation, fast check in, received a room upgrade when offered to join the Sonesta program. Very nice staff. The room was excellent, very clean and well presented. Highly recommend.

The hotel was a lot busier than I expected. There was a lot of noise coming from the surrounding rooms with kids running wild or people just having a conversation at 3am outside the door.
The room itself was comfy and I had a great nights sleep! The bathroom was clean but a little dated. Careful with the river view room upgrades, the room I was in only had a partial river view which doesn't look like what the website offers.
In the lobby there is a Starbucks for breakfast etc but take a short walk to Cafe Luna nearby and you'll find much better food!

This hotel has a great location and could be a wonderful experience, but the service was not good on our trip. I joined a friend at the end of a 2-week stay for a conference. The AC unit leaked onto my bed during the night. Maintenance fixed it, but no one changed the sheets. I think this could be a great hotel, but they might have some hiring issues right now.

The lobby and other areas were nice but our room was a huge disappointment - not at all 4 star or even 3 star quality. They put us on the 10th floor and as soon as we stepped off the elevator we noticed it felt dank and musty up there. Went into the room and it was no better. Lots of ugly looking patches on the ceiling as shown. The room was very humid and even with the AC cranked down to 68 it continued to feel warm and musty. Also, it was only like a $20 difference but we paid for "city view" room and our room had only a tiny window with a view of Cambridge, not Boston. When I mentioned this to the front desk they said "city view means Cambridge not Boston." Really? The hotel is literally located on the Charles River. The only way a room could NOT have a view of either Cambridge or Boston would be if it had no windows, and I can't say I've ever stayed in a 4 star room without a window. So the "city view" thing felt like a blatant scam. Location is good as it's easily walkable to downtown Boston at a lower price than downtown hotels, but do yourself a favor and stay at Hotel Marlowe right around the corner instead as it is a far better hotel than this one. I've stayed at Econo-Lodges with nicer rooms.
