My room was less than ideal. The A/C unit rattled all night, the water temperature was scorching hot and the shower was clogged so I stood in a foot of water during my shower.
To top it off, the next morning when leaving the hotel I took the elevator nearest to my room. As soon as the door closed, I felt a drop and then the elevator just stopped. I tried the open door button, pushing other floors and nothing. After about 4 minutes the elevator began to move again and took me to the first floor. I stopped by the front desk to let them know what happened. The attendant said nothing to me, offered no apology or sympathy for me. All she did was pick up the phone to call someone about the issue. I was shocked that she did not even say one word to me after this traumatic experience.
I only have negative thoughts about this recent stay and will be very hesitant to stay at a Hilton property in the future. The lack of acknowledgement by the staff was unacceptable and should be addressed along with the aging hotel issues.
The beds were comfortable. For a two bed room, we got two towels. Weird. The elevator didn’t work. Not a problem for us but if you can’t do stairs then it would have been a problem.
