Le Meridien Essex Mini-hotel

Front desk attitude is super bad. Black girls in sweaters.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I cannot even believe where to begin with this place. The location is literally the only thing redeeming about it...
1) I stayed there for an event which required wristband access into the hotel. My friend unfortunately had hers ripped off inside the event so when we tried to get a new one we were treated with absolute incompetence and rudeness. To the extent that a bell boy actually tried to fight us on the matter when I was discussing it with a manager. Also, when I began to get upset I was asked to check my attitude which I don't think is at all acceptable when I am an adult and a paying customer and I should be treated with respect
ALSO
2) Broken handles and scuffed cabinetry
3) Stains on ceiling and carpet
4) Dirty sock and pack of cigarettes were in our room upon arrival
5) Water pressure in the shower is pathetic and it changes from warm to scalding hot at any given moment.
6)ELEVATOR, one of them was out of order and they are on a different system so it takes up to 10 minutes to get up or down especially because the staff are also using the guest elevators
7) I witnessed staff using their cell phones in front of customers which is not acceptable or professional at all.
Final thoughts: it is close but not worth it at all especially considering the price is still steep. Definitely going to the Hilton next time
