Great location, next to the Willis Tower. Room was spotless and very quiet. Checkin was easy and quick and staff very friendly. Deep dish pizza around the corner.

I enjoyed everything about this historic hotel. Lady at front desk was friendly, funny, and helpful. Shared info about the supposed haunted room in one of the many wings of this huge hotel. Lobby was gorgeous and even had a pool table. Stayed in the South Wing. Room seemed to have been recently updated, with comfy beds. Although it was a bit smaller the ceilings were extremely high giving it a more...
Pretty good location and a classic hotel. Being classic it's also dated. Nice view of the park, and quite clean, but not the best room to do work in all day. Easy walk to the art institute. No AC, pay for refrigerator, free WiFi one day only. Great lobby though, there were people doing a photo shoot on the couches for an album, I can see why!
I thought this place was nice. Staff was nice, plaza was nice, room was a little rough though. Cracks in wall and ceiling. I understand it’s an older building but rooms could use some work. But the great rate we got on the room made up for the small defects.
The hotel has a very charming old feel to it. We got a lake side view room, and the view out the window is great, especially at sunrise! The place is clean and the bed is comfortable. Staff interactions have all been pleasant. Would definitely stay here again!
This is a great location in the heart of Chicago. The lobby has a well-maintained elegance from an earlier time. The staff was very friendly. The room was very clean with a great view of Grant Park and Lake Michigan. If you look hard enough, there are piecemeal repairs to the room and hallways--it's not all brand-spanking new, but well worth the price. I would definitely stay here again.
For what we paid for it, the room was well worth it. But the room was oddly monochrome (everything was painted white). The furniture was white and the bedspread was white and the curtains were (you guessed it) white. I wish I'd taken a picture, because looking back, it's kind of funny. The architecture of the room (beautiful art deco molding and domed ceiling) was hidden by the complete lack of contrasting...
It's old.....but that happens to the best of us. Tiny TV on a HUGE wall was kinda funny but I didn't go to Chicago to watch TV so not a big deal. No Microwave.
Great location with a beautiful view of the lake. Very nice room with a comfortable bed and they even provided complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste. Very nice staff at the front desk that let us upgrade our room to a lake view and check in early for a very small fee.

The room was clean, quiet, spacious, and very tidy. the breakfast was the best of all hotels on our road trip. The hotel seems to be used equally by business visitors as families and tourists. An amazing location!
Excellent experience. The rooms were spacious and equipped with kitchen utensils to prepare your own meal if you choose. The complimentary breakfast was a treat as well, everything I ate was delicious. My only head scratcher is the shower. There's no door so it's a bit awkward and water gets on the floor, but other than that still a 5 star experience!
Got the executive studio definitely exceeded my expectations. Clean and nicely decorated room. King bed and roomy bathroom. Full kitchen equipped with everything I needed. Breakfast every morning included.
Enjoyed our stay here, the staff was absolutely wonderful! For a family of 5 in a 1 bed room suite, we had plenty of room. One of the largest I've seen, very clean. Great location, walking distance  from Target, Walgreens, 711, restaurants and more. Will definitely stay here again.
Stayed at this place for a week and the place is awesome. It's right in middle of the loop which is great. The room was spacious and one of the few to have a dedicated kitchen place. The breakfast service was nice and the valet service was prompt. Overall would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the loop.
Beautiful hotel and everyone we came in contact with that worked was very professional and went above and beyond. It was really quiet and clean. The room was magnificent with a decent view. Will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was really varied and had great options! The folks who attended the breakfast were the kindest. Great experience!
Everything went very smoothly. Was able to easily get early check-in and add a name to the reservation through the app. Rooms were clean, large, and comfortable, and the breakfast had a lot of good, hot options, not just cold food. Front desk was helpful and polite. Our keys stopped working randomly, but they fixed it quickly. Ultimately we picked it for being the best value (not cheapest, but best...
We loved every minute of our stay. The staff was very friendly and treated us very well. The kids enjoyed the pool and it was nice getting drinks at the bar and being able to relax in one of the many seats available around the bar and lobby. It is very convenient to many of the area shops and restaurants. We were able to walk with a family of four to dinner each night.
This hotel is in a great location in downtown chicago. Walking distance to navy pier, the water tower, magnificent mile, and millennial park. Hotel was very clean and had a wonderful continental breakfast. The pool and hot tub had excellent views from the 27th floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We left my daughter's favorite blanket in the rooms and didn't realize until a few hours after...
Everytime my family goes to Chicago this is the only hotel we stay at (on avg 3x a year) Very welcoming and the breakfast is awesome!!!! Staff is very friendly and welcoming.... close to a lot of restaurants and parking garages if you drive! They even have a hot tub!!!!! Which is nice after a long day of adventures to relax! They treat us as family.Who wouldn’t wanna go somewhere only for a visit and...
My company sends me to Chicago perhaps four times a year to downtown Chicago. I have stayed at Spring Hill Suites a dozen times with all very good experiences. The rooms are clean with good artwork on the wall of Chicago. The breakfast is great each morning, right down to a waffle maker. The hotel lounge is nice, but there are too many great places right outside the door. I believe we book the rooms...

Great hotel. Zero and Jordan are awesome. They provided great customer service and information. The hotel was very clean and in a wonderful location. We will be booking at this location again and referring others.
Google shows as a 3 star hotel and that's what it is. Rooms were standard. The white conformer looked a little worn. Cheap rate for the location. The "L" is right by the door when you walk out. Short walk to Michigan ave. The hot tub was cooler than my bath water which was okay for me since I'm pregnant. I think anyone else would complain. The part that really got me was how dirty the hot tub was around...
I had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown. It's location was perfect for shopping as well as Transportation which was a short walk to the Metra. In terms of the room I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and desk space to be sufficient. A few more accoutrements would of course be nice but it is a lass a Garden Inn. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and provided an umbrella upon...
Right above the red line stop. Two Starbucks within 100 yards. The service is is excellent. Reggie, the bellhop is quite the character. The rooms are newly refurbished and quiet, which is is a little uncommon in downtown hotels. I recommend getting breakfast at the Weber Grill on the first floor.
I spent 6 nights in this hotel in November 2017. One of the main things that favored this hotel is the location; there is a metro station (Grand) at the corner, and it is just 3 blocks away from the Michigan Avenue. It is great. The room was very well equipped, with even a microwave and fridge. I am very satisfied. There's a market just across the street and in the other corner you have a PF Chang...
The view from the City view room is not that special. I was expecting more. However, the location is very convenient. The staff was very friendly. For cleanliness I’d give it a 3/5 needs a little bit more work. Their parking is $48 but there’s a self park in the same address for $25 for one day. They also put a hold in your card for $50 in case you request any service or drink. The pool was really...

The staff team were brilliant. Especially front of house. The best customer service we’ve had in years of international travel.
Hotel is in a great location and was easily accessible. It was a short walk from Union Station but there were plenty of cabs and Ubers/Lyfts in the area for when walking wouldn't work. The rooms were very nice and only need a little work done for upkeep. We enjoyed the on-site bar and the fitness facility a lot. Very good property.
From what I’ve seen of the hotel, it’s not bad once you get inside! As of this writing, a parking garage is being built and there is usually a lot of congestion when I arrive for my weekly Mary Kay success meeting however, the valets are very accommodating. The hotel appears (from the lobby) to be modern and up to date. The food is palatable and the service is very good.
Hotel is nice enough with comfortable beds and pillows. Location is good for lots of eating places. Lots of construction right now next to the building but not a lot of noise from it ( I was on the opposite side). Time to get from valet in the morning took 30 minutes but there is a nice app you can use to request your car.
Nice rooms with clean, comfortable beds. Friendly staff, nice modern design in rooms and lobby. Just make sure to read the fine print in reservations, we got a discounted rate though a hotel membership, and because the room was "discounted" we no longer got breakfast included.
For the price you could easily do better in a city with vast options. Rooms are dated, there are no power outlets on the desk or lamps. Water pressure in the shower was quite anemic. If this wasn't booked through work I would have checked out and found nicer options with no advanced booking for cheaper. Decent neighborhood with good dining options.

I was in this hotel for five days, and all of my time there was worth it. Eventually, it is the perfect place that I have ever had. They provided excellent staff that would guide you professionally and accurately. Honestly, my perfect spot was the pool, for it was surrounded with flowers that will make you feel relax and chill. Highly Recommended!
I received a call from the manager in charge after seeing this review and he kindly helped me with the issues I was experiencing. *previous review* I was charged two times, different amounts for absolutely no reason. When I called the front desk, no one could give me a reason as to why I was being charged. On the last day, there was something missing from our room. I called the front desk twice, each...
We stayed here for a long weekend visiting our son who lives nearby. Hotel was very clean and rooms were smallish but well equipped and the bathroom was nice as well. Awesome shower pressure! Too bad some of the hotel was still impacted by COVID restrictions. The breakfast was served through a little window and lines were longish. The gym was open but pool was not. The staff at reception were...
The room was so hot, I had to turn the air on but it made so much noise, it was hard to sleep. Because of all the recent crimes in Chicago, I didn't feel safe, leaving my car on the street as I am moving and had several items in my car. So, I had to park in the hotel garage which was $58 for one night! I thought that was outrageous!
Hotel staff were attentive and kind. The hotel was just over crowded. The pool is shared with a neighboring hotel which is connected through the lobby this is not exactly specific in the description so it was a little crazy in the pool... It's not that big though set up in an eye appeasing way. Breakfast was nice, plenty to choose from for your liking. Stations were kept clean. Comfortable seating...
Really enjoyed this hotel. Easily walkable to all the major tourist sites, great free breakfast(love the waffle makers), same day dry cleaner, clean room with a great view(showers are really enjoyable). All for a reasonable price! Highly recommend.

Amazing location, next to magnificent mile and chicago loop. Friendly staff, which helped as a lot with the receipts. We only stayed for one night, so we didn't actually use many services provided.
Hotel is great, but the staff has been amazing. Adrian, at check-in was so welcoming I had to give her a hug. She made us feel like we just arrived at the home of family we haven't seen in ages. Our room is great, and the view even better. The location is perfect for all of your needs. Definitely coming back here.
Stayed on a week night, nice and quiet. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. Desk clerk found a pub with entertainment for us that made it a great trip. Bistro offered breakfast but a rather unusual menu if you just want common breakfast food. Housekeeping knocked on our door at 8:30 am--we probably should have put the "do not disturb" sign on, but we were only staying one night so why would...
Very convenient location with excellent rates. Rooms are clean, and seems to have suite availability for upgrades. Easy access to public transportation, recommend not having a car unless you need it. Parking rates are pretty high. Good walking access to lots of great places to eat.
The room was well maintained and beautiful with good coffee and better service. The people at the front desk were friendly and accommodating and it seemed like the crowds were split fairly evenly between younger visitors and older professionals. The pool was great and it's in an awesome area for food or nightlife.
Everyone was very welcoming and truly accommodating. A more than two week stay and there was absolutely nothing more I could have asked for. Terrific location. Top notch staff. I highly recommend.

This place has great valet service, a rooftop Terrace which is nice, comfortable rooms, extremely convenient being right next to the Loyola train station and Loyola University, a decently staffed tiny bar, and very attentive staff throughout the hotel as well.
Luxurious apartment suite, new, clean. Spacious rooms with comfy king size beds and nice pillows.Very helpful staff.
It was a cute little place to stay, especially for a layover or just a weekend. Their coffee is pretty good (and free!) And they have a pretty okay breakfast spread.
Really friendly staff and clean rooms. Parking (valet) was $35 which is pretty standard for Chicago. They had our car waiting for us in the morning when it was time to leave. Rooms are nice, decorated new and contemporary. They allow pets which I didn't know. The front desk staff was awesome. Waited very long for a table at Beatrix restaurant downstairs but the food made it worth the wait. I have absolutely no complaints. Stayed here with two girlfriends for a birthday night out and the extremely sweet front desk clerk offered to upgrade our room to a higher floor with a better view of the city, as I am a Starwood Rewards member. Great hotel. Rooms are small, but that's a known commodity with these boutique style hotels. The amenities are really nice and the room was really clean. This hotel is walking distance to the River North area which is nice when staying in the city.
We stayed the weekend here and everything was wonderful. The customer service was amazing. Jose was a huge help, very professional and outstanding job performance. We will definitely be back to revisit the Aloft. Thank you again for the great weekend.

This Hyatt House truly stands above the rest. The service we received from David B. at the front desk was exceptional. Nice hotel. Had comfortable king room, and they provided an early check in on request to accommodate early airport arrival and afternoon meeting. Cooked hot breakfast was nice. Bar was hopping but would not recommend the Caesar salad on the small food menu. Chicken was dry, leathery and tepid, and dressing was a pouch on the side. Would still stay here again.

Once an independent, small hotel, now operated by Holiday Inn Express, this is a fantastic find. Just 2 blocks from the heart of Michigan Ave., this affordable hotel is neat and clean, though the rooms are tiny. But how much time are you spending in the room? A basic breakfast and newspaper come with great customer service. Stay here!
This is a great location in the heart of Chicago and the Magnificent Mile. The beautiful hotel is located in Chicago close to all the great places to see and visit. Clean hotel, friendly staff. I used a travel site to book the room and it was listed on the website we would have a mini fridge. It’s very convenient to walk to Michigan Ave and other popular places. I like the design of its lobby. A great place to have fun with friends.
I came here for the first time a couple months ago and loved it. While the hotel itself is unique and fun, what really stood out to me was the service, especially from Andrés. This is a great hotel. Nice breakfast, roomy rooms, great location. Only minus is the pull out couch in king suite. Planned on having the king bedroom for ourselves (me and hubby) but pull out couch is unusable....so bad. So, that makes 4 of us on the king bed:( word of advice, if this is your plan with your family, the suite is great but you really can't use the couch as a second bed.
Very nice for a city hotel. I tend to find hotels in big cities as less personable and losing that extra touch of hospitality due to the high traffic. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. Easy to get to and in a great part of the city. Breakfast was mediocre but better than most free hotel breakfasts. Would recommend.
Clean rooms, all staff was very friendly except for two women in the breakfast area. Very rude, not accommodating to guests, out of everything even hot cocoa and creamer, when asked about it she was mumbled under her breath and restocked with 2 packets, then the next customer asked and she did the same thing with no smile but a very noticeable roll of the eyes. Otherwise stay was great!

This Hotel Is Wonderful!! The Staff Was Friendly The Rooms Were Very Comfortable And Clean. The Bathroom Was Nice Too. Also Loved The Free Parking. Definitely Would Recommend This Hotel To My Friends. Peace And Quiet With Everything From Restaurants And Downtown Within A 10 min Radius. Will Stay Here Again.
If staying on a weekend, get to the hotel before the parking lot fills up or your free parking is around the block or in the street. Bring beverages because the machines on every floor tend to be sold out quickly. The staff is very nice, both desk and maintenance. Breakfast in the coffee shop was wonderful...Very Friendly and nicely priced.. and your room has one of the nicest showers around.
Staying for a Chicago vacation and the hotel is delightful. Free parking and wifi, close access to the highway for quick access to your desired destinations, quiet atmosphere (distant rumble of trains and cars but nothing that was bothersome), and a cafe where breakfast can be made fresh for you. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice room. Staff very patient with us. One of our students lost a piece of jewelry and they recovered it for us. Very easy parking. Walking distance to good food, red line, and Wintrust Arena.

Nice hotel. Spacious rooms are very clean. Bathrooms are cramped. Staff is very accomodating. Free breakfast is very good
This is a renovated older property that is very nicely kept, and has modern, feature-rich rooms. There is only one staff member working to check people in, so it can take a while to get set up. The staff are very courteous, and eager to help.
Good clean rooms. Comfy beds. Horrible elevators. Small and impossible to get in one when it's checkout time
Hotel is perfectly situated in the city for easy access. They have one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in a hotel and it was already included with the room. The staff here are very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely come back again
We just finished up a 5-night stay here and wanted to sing its praises! Single mom traveling with a teenage daughter, and the smallest room w/king bed with pull out couch was plenty of space for us. We LOVED breakfast every day. Most days, I loaded up to-go containers so she could be her vampire self and sleep in. I'd eat and let her warm up her breakfast when she crawled out of bed. The kitchen was...
Lovely place for people and dogs. There is a dog run around side. There is consistent large breakfast selection. The accommodations are very comfortable like home.

Spacious, lots of TV and cable channels including Australian Open (ESPN), good location
the location is great, close to a handful of bars. Candace at the front desk is incredible. As someone who has worked for a "competitor" of Hilton, she exemplifies everything customer service. Candace is warm, inviting, personable, kind, and honest; everything you want in customer service personnel. Cheers to Candace and for Hilton for hiring such an incredible member of their team.
Probably the best receptionists team in all Hilton USA and that is saying something because they were super busy all the time due to the convention centre that neighbours the hotel. Also the room was cleaned daily even without request. Included breakfast was decent and staff in the buffet very nice and polite. Very pleasant stay.
Edited to give 3 stars, but the story stands. And if it weren't for the guest services manager, Ashley, I'd planned on canceling my reservation and moving to a different hotel, keeping this as 1 star. I've been in the lobby for 75 minutes now because "they gave my room away" ... I've been traveling for 11 hours. 3 airports, 2 planes, 3 trains and a half mile walk to be waiting for a room to be ready...
