Waikiki Marina Resort at the Ilikai

The hotel is within walking distance to many shops and places to eat. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and very relaxing. The hotel has shops and a couple of eating places. The room had the typical amenities in it. The bed was super comfy. I was surprised that the pool was not bigger considering the size of the hotel but after walking by other hotels this seems to be the case at most of the ones I saw. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and I would stay there again.

My wife and I spent 3/29/2024 - 4/5/2024 at this hotel. Ilikai is the actual hotel but Waikiki Marina Resort somehow gets rooms in the hotel. Everything was great for a stay. Full fridge and stove for cooking allowed us to save a little on food, but we did less cooking than expected. There is not any daily room cleaning or such during your stay unless you ask at the front desk halfway through the stay. Even then we were told just towels and such would be provided. There are beach towels available at any time at the service desk. The Ilikai Hotel is a well known icon on the island. It is also located very well to beaches, shopping, food, etc... If you want a great stay this hotel is awesome for it. Also, the room was big compared to other hotels (510 sq feet).

The staff are friendly and helpful. We had a great time staying there in a studio unit for a family of 3. The kitchen is well equipped. Beach towels are provided at the office. Ala Moana beach is close by (we drove) and it is awesome. The hotel provides valet parking only, but we found a self parking at the structure around the corner right next to Red Lobster for a comparable fee. The laundry room on our floor is open 24 hours. The only bad thing is the elevators - they tend to break down one by one. Prepare to use the stairs or other bather elevators if you don't want to wait for too long. I still give high ratings to this place and I recommend it.

Good sized room with microwave, fridge and kitchen to cook. Rooms are clean. Valet parking onsite is 45$ per night but only 28$ on Marina Parking Garage which is down the street just 1 minute walk. It is on Hobron st next to Red Lobster. Reception desk is very helpful as well. Mcdonalds and ABC store within a minute walk. Food trucks about 2 blocks away.

Everything about our stay here was exceptional. We didn’t really hang out at the resort much, but you definitely could. It was a great central location for day trips. The resort staff and everyone we interacted with in Honolulu were so kind. We plan to return now that we have done all the tourist stuff and just relax and explore around the resort. If you stay here definitely check out the poke place on site. The nachos and the masubi are bomber.

Hawaii 50 Theme song plays in your head. Once we got to our room, we realized that its in it's original condition. Almost. The bed is comfy. AC works. Everything shows "antiquing" but still in good shape. View is breath taking. Lagoon, beach, pier are right outside the door. Chain and local restaurants near by. We should not have been surprised, but everything costs more. Housekeeping is once every 4 days unless you pay more. Parking is $28 a day. Read the fine print. It just all adds up with what begins as a cost effective place to stay. Our unit has a stove top, microwave, sink, toaster, coffee pot and mini fridge. The 2 pools are great for relaxing. The second floor pool is a lounge pool. Which translates to sun bathers and toddlers. I loved it. The lady who hoped to louge away from kids, did not. It also has shade in the afternoon and evening which makes it perfect for an outside nap or just cool off after a day out and about. They keep what you see walking by or in, in stunning beauty. Enjoy each h breath taking moment on the island.

I would say overall this place was decent. The rooms were fine and the accommodations were good. If you are looking for a more modern resort, I would look elsewhere though. The decor felt lacking in some aspects, but it did have access to the beach and the lagoon.

The concierge is nice and accommodating. Getting beach towels is as easy as signing your name, and pool towels are the same. It's an easy-going place and it's walking distance from just about anything you need. The rooms have a couple different configurations with either 2 full size beds or one queen. Both offer an additional sofa bed and a full kitchen with a full size fridge.

Good location. Close to everything, food, drink and the beaches. Fairly close to Gas and freeway access.
I don't like that posted pool hours say 6 but they actually kick you out at 5:30 because it takes a half hour to clean the pool after you leave. Housekeeping is only once a week. A major plus if it's important to you is that there is laundry facilities on every floor. Definitely a family friendly hotel as most are I'm assuming since this is such a vacation spot.
