Let's start with the bad.
1) Car got broken into during our stay, and security has been very nice but not that helpful. We lost over $1500 worth of camping gear and were not offered any type of compensation for getting stuff stolen when parking in THEIR garage, even right next to a security camera. At the very least expected our stay somewhat comped as an apology. This place does not feel safe and they can't even tell us if they caught it on camera. Their hands are tied and I need to follow up with the detective on my case...but it's their own cameras...perhaps they are just for show.
2) Cost us an extra $75/day for a dog but provided ZERO dog amenities. If you are charging per day rather than just a cleaning fee then I expect to gain something per day. Plus they put us in the far tower, which took forever to get outside (through 2 elevators and several hallways) every time he had to potty.
3) I'm pretty sure the terrible shrimp I had at the pool gave me food poisoning.
Other than those issues the location is right next to Fremont Street and some of the workers were very friendly (bellhop and security). The room was adequate - kinda smelly in the beginning but had clean beds and working shower.
I will not be staying again, and am still weighing my options about what to do about my stuff getting stolen. I understand they have limited liability but that doesn't absolve them completely.

Everyone at this hotel is super nice! It’s way up here out of the way from all the mess that Vegas is known for, but only a short walk over to Fremont street. This was the first time I stayed up on this side of town and it’s so much better than the strip. This hotel was a really great launch pad for everything we did this weekend. The Jazz bar is really great here too!

We recently had our wedding reception at the Downtown Grand and it was absolutely perfect!
Brittany was amazing to work with from the start—super responsive (usually within the hour!), incredibly detail-oriented, and so kind. She made sure every part of our vision came to life flawlessly.
The night of the reception, Joey made everything run so smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about a thing once we arrived—he had everything handled perfectly!
Norma, our server for the night, was wonderful. She took great care of us and our guests. She made our night feel special!
Faryal, the bartender, was fantastic too! She kept the drinks flowing and created such a fun atmosphere for everyone.
And the food — wow! Everyone loved it! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Huge thank you to the Downtown Grand team for making our night so special & memorable!

The suite we had was huge. The design of the room was a little strange, but nothing we couldn't live with. The room was so plain and lacking in furniture it was almost depressing. Nothing warm or fun about it. With the only windows facing a parking garage adding some wall hangings or additional furniture might help. The bed was comfy. It was pretty loud one night and the pool was so cold I couldn't swim in it. The hotel overall is pretty clean. The shear curtains in the room were so dirty I didn't want to touch them. Not sure I'd stay again.

Hotel located 1 block from Freemont street. Gorgeous view from our corner room (21st floor) which faced the mountains. The room was nice. Did not like the fact the shower/tub combo did not have a door!!😬 Also I was not pleased with the fact you had to rent a refrigerator & microwave because they are not included in the room. I believe it was $25 per item, per day. Had to have both replaced because the 1st microwave didn't work at all & the refrigerator stopped working after 1/2 day. However, the hotel immediately rectified the situation as soon as it was brought to their attention. Please note the corner rooms facing Freemont & the mountains are not sound proof. We heard music from Freemont all the way up until 2am. I had family members who stayed at the same hotel but in a different building with no view & they heard NO outside what so ever. We were also in walking distance of several restaurants & stores. Please note, this hotel is located several miles from the strip in what's known as old Vegas. Overall, we enjoyed our stay because of the location & room views.

When we arrived at the hotel we were told that the room that we had reserved was given to someone else. We were never advised of this before. We booked another room which cost us three times more.
This was a beautiful hotel room and the hotel was immaculate. This is one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in.
We’re definitely going to stay there again.!!
