This is my fourth time staying in this hotel. It wins in details. Although it is a four-star hotel, all the details are better than the five-star hotels in Shanghai. An aging hotel with scammy extra charges (“resort fee”?!) and frustrating, obsequious staff. They protect the rooftop bar like it’s a crown jewel, but it’s full of dull people and dirty glassware.

The bar has a great view from the outdoor patio and it's fun going up the old school elevator to get there. I've had a good time with groups in the early to mid afternoon. Late night it's crowded so best to go with just one other person on a date or something. I usually get Irish coffee but if you want french fries they have a pretty cool "tower" with four varieties of them.

It was everything we dreamed. We chose to stay here on our honeymoon and it was incredible from the moment we walked in the front door. This is a beautiful hotel located in a very convenient location right across the street from the beach. We enjoyed spending time poolside, and we ordered our lunch from the pool servers.
