The hotel is relatively old, but the location is good. The rooms are not big, old, and have a Mediterranean style. Many people bring their dogs. The corridors smell and dogs bark often. The service is good.

It was one of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed at!! This property is right on the beach! The views are the most amazing I've seen! The rooms are roomy and very well decorated. The staff is so friendly and approachable! There are 2 restaurants here and a very nice bar with ample comfy seating. The days we stayed, they had live entertainment (pianist/singer). The hotel is "stellar"! Definitely 5-star! Well worth the rates!

Hotel Casa Del Mar is great. It is a beautiful hotel and environment with many impressively kind, attentive and integral staff members. Everyone there is really nice.
I believe that Hotel Casa Del Mar, in its total professionalism, is parallel and on par with the most classic, famous, traditional and highly-esteemed Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts.
I would highly recommend Casa Del Mar to anyone, I think it is superior to any other hotel on the Southern California Coastline!

We were so pleased with the hotel until items were stolen from us the night before we left, and the manager I spoke with did not follow up with me (as he assured me he would) and did not return my subsequent phone call after I left a message. We had the items in the safe until we packed to leave, then we went out to dinner and when we came back, the bag I had the items in, which was within another bag and in the back of the closet was open and disheveled and 3 items were missing. Until this point, we were very happy with the hotel. The suite was beautiful and the service was excellent. I would recommend the hotel, and I know thefts happen, but it does feel violating and I do not feel that the hotel handled it properly.

It was our first visit to Santa Monica and Casa del Mar did not disappoint! From the moment the taxi pulled up to the final moments leaving the hotel to the airport, the service and vibe was 💯 ! 👍🏼 to Elvis for helping us with our baggage & taxi from the beginning! We took advantage of the free bicycles and explored Venice beach and Santa Monica pier! They were also pretty flexible and allowed us to check out at 3pm since we had an evening flight on the last day 🙏🏼

I had a fabulous stay at Casa del Mar. The hotel was absolutely gorgeous, especially with all the holiday decorations! My room was cozy and very tastefully appointed. The only minor issue was that the pillows the room came with were a bit floppy, but I requested foam pillows and they brought plenty right away. I LOVED the outdoor hot tub! I also ate at the Terrazza restaurant twice and everything I tried was exceptional. Get an order of their fresh-baked bread - totally worth it!
