Oceana is designed to resemble your idyllic, private beach home. We pride ourselves on the personalized, five-star service we provide our guests. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, our beachfront hotel, especially the guest rooms, will leave you breathless. Daily Resort Charge includes: Guest internet access; daily yoga classes; beach cruiser bike rental; special access to Peloton treadmills; beach activity concierge and beach towels; in-lobby premium coffee/tea and non-alcoholic refreshment; two food and two beverage tasters at poolside.

Hotel opened in 1958, renovated in 2007.

Just letting people know that if you book the hotel using points and you don't show up they will cancel your reservation, refund your points, and charge your card on file $915 instead of using points used to book the reservation. The hotel does look good to stay at as why i booked it in the first place. Just wish this situation didn't happen. I also had a follow up conversation when asked to call back to "make it right" and talked to Joshua who explained i was charged $915 for the no show when the 1 night reservation was booked with points and that was the end of the conversation. A waste of time and so much for "Making it right"! Disappointed to say the least...

We stayed here for one night for our anniversary. I would have loved to stay longer. It was the most beautiful, luxurious and relaxing hotel. The customer service was exceptional. The day prior to arrival, I submitted a chat message to inquire about room availability and received an immediate and courteous response. When I expressed my appreciation for the clarification and mentioned it was our anniversary we ended up receiving a reply asking for our favorite snacks or drinks. We subsequently arrived to a room thoughtfully decorated with fresh rose petals and a complimentary bottle of wine along with a thoughtful, handwritten note from the Director of Front of House, Kazai. We arrived early from the airport and the room was ready within minutes of our check in. The food was exceptional and the customer service from every employee we encountered was genuine and kind. A special recognition for the Bellman Ahmet who was always available to offer his services with a gracious smile. We look forward to our next stay.

Great hotel- great rooms/comfortable and clean - great location. Cool vibe all around and super helpful staff. Lenny & Daniel at the front of the house were particularly helpful and charming!

Excellent boutique hotel. Oversized rooms, incredible service. Everyone is there to make your stay unforgettable. From the gentleman at the reception desk to the folks that work in the restaurant to Lenny the Bell Captain it is a really nice place to stay.

Best luxury hotel at the ocean. Literally 5 stars!! The ambiance is perfect for relaxing California dreams. Staff is at the top of the reasons this place is so posh. Lavender lemonade when you arrive. Bikes you can use for a nice ride along the ocean front. The valet are so friendly and nice you would think they are your friends. Pool is perfect. Rooms are so good! Luxury x 1000!

Our recent stay at the Oceana Hotel in Santa Monica was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, personal, and truly elevated the experience.

A huge thank you to Erik, Akeem, Kezai, and Atiyyah — each of them went out of their way to make us feel welcome and taken care of throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality really stood out. The valet parking attendants were also wonderful — always friendly, prompt, and professional, which made coming and going a breeze.

The property itself is stunning — beautifully designed and perfectly located just steps from the beach. Our room was spacious, immaculate, and incredibly comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout. The pool and common areas provided a relaxing, boutique atmosphere that made it feel like a true getaway.

Oceana has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Santa Monica. We can’t wait to return — and when we do, we’ll be looking forward to seeing this incredible team again. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for one night and had a pretty mixed experience. The biggest issue was the noise—my upstairs neighbor was blasting house music, and I could hear everything. It drove me nuts. I let management know, but I’m not sure if they actually addressed it. The music stopped for a while, then came back later.

The room had an awkwardly placed overhead light that I hit my head on ten times—not exaggerating.

The hotel’s website says they offer free rides within a mile and airport transportation, but that’s no longer true. I was told they now rely on Uber, which you have to pay for yourself. Not cool to advertise perks that don’t exist anymore.

I also used one of their “free bikes,” which was in bad shape. The seat was tilted downward—super uncomfortable—and the back brakes barely worked. I let the front desk know, so hopefully they take care of it.

On the plus side, the staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and helpful. Breakfast was decent. The bacon was super crispy, like chicharrones. But just a heads-up: a single mimosa was $25.

One highlight of the stay was the third-floor rooftop area overlooking the beach. It was a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the view.

In short: the service and rooftop were great, but the noise, misleading amenities, and maintenance issues would make me think twice about staying again.

We live 1 mile away and when we want a staycation and some beautiful peace away from the chaos of Los Angeles, we come here to the Oceana! They treat HILTON gold members with so much appreciation. Thank you thank you, ERIC and LAURENT and Michele and Joshua and special hello and thank you to Roberto in the restaurant and ALEX the excellent chef who customizes to meet your needs and preferences. Margot waits tables like she’s a five star restaurant server and we loved her spirit an NAPO loaded up the car like a champ! We cannot wait to be back!

What a beautiful hotel and location! Couldn’t recommend more. Lenny our bell captain was so welcoming, friendly, and professional. 10 out of 10! The staff was so attentive and the food was great. The pool was beautiful and the view from our room was incredible.
