North Shore Oceanfront Resort Hotel in Myrtle Beach

I'm very disappointed. Our stay was 8 days. No room service at all is ridiculous. We had to carry our dirty towels and bedding down hall in elevator through lobby to a container. Only then would we get clean towels or sheets.
Half the time, they were out of wash rags floor mats once they were out of everything.
Again, for 8 days... Our trash was never picked up. We had to change our own bedding. We never had our room swept moped, toilet, or bathtub cleaned for 8 days. No trash bags shampoo soap coffee or paper coffee cups.
The front desk said someone would knock on our door between a certain time and give us what we needed.
We never got a knock; they said we must have missed it. So the next day, my husband saw a lady with a cart. She said she couldn't give us anything; we had to go to the front desk. She only cleans rooms when people leave. We had 4 people staying in our room. I did not come on vacation to clean.
If I had known, I would not have picked this place.
The pool was clean, and music was only played a few hours a day while they played a 10 minute balloon game daily, and once one lady did a football trivia. No one to bring drinks to you . We did not get waited on for anything. The bar guy was nice and friendly. Thanks for asking for a review .July 2022

The worst stay ever and overpriced for the lack of service! Those pictures on this website are very misleading and a lie!!! No housekeeping, horrible food, hair all over the floor, towels smelled sour, water from the sink also had a urine smell. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, rooms were definitely outdated!! Not to mention, the elevators took forever to come. I truly recommend taking the stairs!! Most importantly if you have a late flight, you can forget requesting a late check from this place!! They won’t honor it….. However, the hotel is in a great location (off the water) and the staff was truly nice. We won’t be back to this dump!!!

This place at first seemed great. Then if you need a extra pillow or blanket. You get told “ you only get what’s in your room there isn’t extra”. Your also are told that your dirty towels must be turned in before you get clean ones so I have to shower half my kids then go turn in the dirty towels to get clean ones for my other kids. Most of the staff is nice but there are some really rude ones. The blankets have big stains on them. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut. The beds are like rocks. If you stay one or two nights and it’s only one or two people staying here it wouldn’t be to bad unless u needed an extra pillow or blanket, wanted a clean room, and a good nights sleep. If any of those things are important to you don’t stay here.

I'm a yearly visitor and this year sucked. This rating is on this visit alone. Normally a great place to stay but not this time. When I asked the very friendly front desk clerk where to file a complaint she immediately asked if it was about housekeeping so maybe this issue has been brought up enough to get it fixed. I addressed the cleanliness issues with her and was thanked for my comments I was then informed that they were trying out a new company. The Resort is nice, lots of new additions. Staff at the resort are great. Very friendly and always available. If they can get the housekeeping fixed then it will pick up the lost stars.

Not good. Couldn't get clean towels or rags. The cleaning crew never showed up doing our entire stay. The mattress did have bug protectors on them. Parking was good. But I've never stayed at any hotel where the cleaning crew never showed up. Hopefully they will solve their staffing issues. We asked for a some type of refund or something to the matter and was told there was nothing they can do.

Let me talk about our experience at this resort. First, we drove from Richmond, Va and arrived at 10:30 pm. We went to reservation desk, there was no one there
We were directed to another desk but directions were vague and it took 15 minutes to find desk. At that point we were given keys to a room that guests were already checked into. Had to go back to front desk and get another room. It has been 2 days since we received any new bath towels or washcloths. Pay the extra money and go somewhere nice. Overall, not worth the money.
