Concorde Hotel

It was better than expected. I appreciated a lot the very convenient location, the room cleaning service and the overall shape of the hotel . Large bathroom ,not-so-big room, bad view on the backside. Good price-quality ratio.

Straightforward accommodation with comfortable beds and spacious bathroom. Very few rooms per floor, which made for a quiet night (city noise notwithstanding). Short walk to major points of interest. Would recommend breakfast at The Bakery Room across the street. I’d stay again.

Comfortable Stay Marred by Mixed Breakfast Experience at Hotel 57

My recent stay at Hotel 57 was overall pleasant. The rooms were cozy, the service was impeccable, and the hotel's central location was perfect for my needs. However, there's one aspect of my stay that deserves attention for its negative impact: the interaction with the lady in charge of breakfast.

While the quality of the breakfast offerings was excellent, I was disappointed by the attitude of the lady handling the service. Her lack of respect in her manner of speaking to guests created an unwelcoming atmosphere. Her tone of voice often seemed abrupt and unfriendly, which somewhat detracted from the enjoyment of the morning meal.

Despite this, I must commend the rest of the hotel staff who were cool and respectful throughout my stay. They were attentive to my needs and provided excellent service in all other areas.

I strongly believe that the staff plays a crucial role in shaping the overall guest experience at a hotel, and unfortunately, this interaction fell short. I would suggest to the hotel management to provide training to the staff on the importance of respectful and warm customer service.

Despite this mixed experience at breakfast, I still recommend Hotel 57 for its comfort and convenient location. I hope this review will help improve the experience for future guests and ensure quality service at all levels of the establishment.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. The room was a decent size for New York. The bed was very comfortable. It was relatively quiet. The sink in the bathroom was too shallow and the drainage was not very fast. Plenty of hot water. Good wifi. A bit expensive but that's New York.

I just read another review before writing mine and I laughed. Exact same experience with the breakfast ladies. Very rude. Would not put out more food because "everyone here already had their share". Well, we just arrived! She grudgingly agreed to give me 2 muffins. I asked for 2 more a few minutes later and she refused. "You already had your 2. There is a limit you know" ... pointing to the sign taped on the wall." I mentioned that my wife was with me so she said "OK then but that's it!".

I don't know if this behavior is due to a penny pinching directive coming from above or not but I was not impressed and I was not alone. A few minutes later, with more people arriving, they finally brought out a box full of muffins but "make sure you don't take more than your allotted 2!". (I was such a delinquent... I took an extra one :).

As for the rest of the experience. It was very good. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, plenty of hot water. For added security, appreciated that the guest card needed to be swiped to get the elevator to go up.

The rest of the staff was nice. Special thanks to Daniel(?) in charge of keeping our luggage safe after we checked out.

Location was good. Not as close to Times Square as one might want but I knew this when I booked and got no regrets.

The hotel room is clean, small and cute. The bathroom is pretty good in New York. There is a separate shower and bathtub. The hot water is good and clean.

The hotel is small, with only three or four rooms on each floor. The floors are very high, so it doesn't hurt to wait a little longer for the elevator.

Satisfied with the location, the surrounding environment feels safe
